Lobo220: Mirabao Bluewater Beach Resort is nice. Short taxi ride from Cebu Cactan Island Airport. Make your reservations at a travel agency in Manila or you could end up paying way too much per night for a room. If you get to Cebu, try staying at a hotel near the airport. There are several, Waterfront being the most expensive. Go to a travel agency there and see if they can get you a good deal on a few nights at one of the many gorgeous resorts on Mactan Island

Be prepared to share the place with families and children on holiday and plenty of Japanese/Chinese tourists It is primarily a "byog" (bring your own girl) place.

Ilongo boy: I will be in the Phils in late january. Ormoc City has plenty of ladies at Western Leyte College right in DT Ormoc. On my 1 month plus trip to the PI very recently I was mostly in AC but went to Naval on Biliran Island Leyte for 4 days then took a shuttle to Ormac City (2hrs) and a 2hr Supercat boat ride to Cebu City. I stayed at Kiwi Lodge close to where the Supercat docks in Cebu City. Dragonslayer is right when he speaks about great action in Dumaguete on Negros. I was drinking at the hotel bar at Kiwi Lodge and all the Americans and Aussies were talking about Dumaguete and the great action there.They were saying exactly what Dragonslayer is saying about Dumaguete, lots and lots of college girls, super friendly locals and tons of pussy everywhere. Dumaguete is a well kept secret but ill check it out myself on my 2 month trip to the PI this May and post a report on it. Ok...Here's the report on Cebu,

Was there 1st week of Dec, went trolling at Ayala Mall, and later SM Mall. No luck. Now, I'm not sure if I don't look "tourist" enough (I'm Asian, and with a tan, I often get mistaken for Filipino when I'm in Philippines, Thai when I'm in Thailand - you get the picture).

Anyhow, no luck at the mall. So, I got on WSG FOrum and posted my frustration, and Dragonslayer who happened to be in Cebu at that time responded and we arranged to meet at Club Exotica.

After waiting for a while and thinking D-Slayer's gonna be a no show, D-Slayer walked in like he owned the place. Slayer's really nice guy and very knowledgeable in Asian Mongering matters - he bought me and another guy he was meeting a beer for being late. Then he made his selection and went upstairs. Me, I prefer my own hotel room, so I waited for him to finish and bid him goodbye. Made my selection, Mika (see photo in Photo section) and back to my hotel we went. I was staying at the Richmond Plaza, near Ayala Mall....I would recommend D-Slayer's hotel, the Metropolis Court. Funny, that's where I stayed last time, but I got the name confused and thought it was the Acropolis.

It was 1700 php all inclusive for the girl. Mika's pretty, young with a nice body. But only average in bed. Very gfe though.

Next day, I went to Dumaguete. Again, not sure if it's me or what....couldn't find any girl there. The odor that diver69 encountered has nothing to do with the girls ethnic or cultural background. Filipinas in general are very clean and hygenic, almost to a fault. Vaginal infections occur in all countries, and I've encountered more in the US than in the Phils, by far. They are usually very easy to clear up with a variety of products available. I don't know what's in your gf's hair, but it's probably not an infection.

None of the Mactan Resorts are close to Cebu City, unless a 45 minute cab ride is "close". Best hotels at reasonable prices in Cebu City are Cebu Midtown on Fuente Osmena, Metropolis Court Hotel (my favorite hands down), Cebu Waterfront hotel (fairly new). I stayed at 15-20 different hotels over the last 12 years on 60 separate trips. Unless you are very poor, forget the others.

Older guys with college girls is as common as snow in Alaska in January. I saw an "old fart" 7 years ago with an incredible, 19 year old. I highly recommend the Cebu City Marriott Hotel. They're girl friendly, have a great $50 deal which includes breakfast buffet for 2 and you usually get a suite. Walking distance to Ayala Center Mall and nice surroundings.

Yes there are flights from Cebu to Boracay. I know for sure Sea Air flies that route and its likely Cebu Pacific and others fly that route too. Make sure the plane goes to Caticlan and not to Kalibo. Kalibo is 2 hours drive to Boracay and Caticlan is a 15 minute banca ride to Boracay. As for a hotel close to the airport (Mactan Island) try Kiwi Lodge its clean with nice rooms, its 1100 pesos a night (20 USD),the food is good,the staff is friendly and the bar area of this hotel is a great place to get information by friendly ex-pats on the nightlife scene and much more. Its 15 minutes from the Kiwi Lodge to the airport. For women the security guard at the hotel gate can have women brought to the hotel for you to choose who you like. The number of the Kiwi Lodge is 63-32-232-9550. The address is 1060 G.Tudtud Str. Mabolo Cebu City.

While in Boracay, I stayed at Waling Waling resort - beach front hotel and very nice. Let us know as to the bar scene in Boracay, I hear there has been a few changes since my last visit - July 2003.

BTW, if you can bring your own girl in Boracay even better. Local supply was limited when I was there. If you play golf, make sure to play a round at Fairways - pretty nice course.

Speak Thai (ya that's right Secret Asian man?), Japanese and Spanish which helps a lot with Vasayan which is spoken in Cebu (do not speak Vasayan, Seegay?).

Okay now down to Cebu for Mongers 101: First for the 100th Anniversary of Cebu City, Cebu Magazine put out a special section on the "Best of Everything" in Cebu. For the "Best Hedonist Spot." was Metropolis Court Hotel with it's WIld Orchid Club (28 gorgeous ladies, open 24/7), KTV Lounge on the second floor with 40 gorgeous ladies and 50 "Love Rooms' all equipped with In Room Jacuzzi.

As to CLubs, for the "Best Value for your Money" no doubt about it, Club Exotica on General Maxilom. Several of our guys have either accompnied me there or took my advice and paid a visit there. All were noticably impressed.

I have been visiting Silver Dollar since 1994 and even stopped by briefly on New Year's Eve 2000. I like John but his CLub is mostly a "big hussle". Firehouse, walking distance from there on Osmena Blvd is much nicer. I understand the Cobra Bar in downtown Cebu (formerly across from Metropolis Court Hotel) is good. There are some fun filipino bars down on Sancinagko St and Jakosalem Street in downtown Cebu where the girls get totally naked just like at Club Exotica.

Across the street from Club Exotica are a few Clubs also. One is newly renamed and was the old "Peter the Viking" GoGo Bar which was a "ripoff' when the old drunk owned it. Might be worth checking out now. Papillon's , next to Exotica, is a ripoff. Have not checked the new CLub next to Papillon's but Dimples, in that spot before had been another ripoff.

I know a couple guys who had a good time stopping by the Babershop in downtown Cebu across the street from the old Hotel de Mercedes on Pelaes St. Action gets going there about 8:00PM

Bluewater Beach Resort, White Sands Beach Resort and Plantation Bay are all great. So is Shangri La. All are very expensive. No problem bringing girls there but you are pretty much isolated from everything. As I mentioned here before, try to book your reservation in the Philippines at a Travel Agency there to take advantage of discounts.

Never heard of Club Harem. I used to have a girl I did in Cebu that worked out of Caesars palace Massage in Mandaue. There are money changers but it is better to change your money at a bank. The rate in banks are OK but is much safer than money changers where you dont know who is around. 4-5 star hotels will also change your money but at a very bad rate. Use only PESOS, not US$, or you're inviting people to mug & rob you.

There is a P550/$10 departure tax in Manila for international travelers, and its safe to assume Cebu will have the same. Easy money for the govt.

Just stayed in Cebu for 3 nights and here is my experience. Lonely Planet and reports in the internet are all out of date, because the Philippines is so chaotic and changing so fast.

I am a Chinese Australian with medium standard, I guess.

Airport Taxis: I arrived at Cebu airport and get out of the wrong exit. No taxi there at all. Better to get up to the arrival level and catch a taxi there.

Hotel: I stayed at Garwood part hotel and is OK. Went to Metropolis Court Hotel for a maasge in Wild Orchid. The rooms are bad. Will not stay there, because of rooms and location, too far from anywhere. From Garwood, at least you can walk to banks, bars and restaurents.

Massage: I tried Wilde Orchid, which was OK. The girls are heavy but wild. There are not as beautiful as the ones in the bars. And it was not cheap, P3000 plus. I personally cannot negotiate too hard, for a few dollors, but the girl said discounts are available when I come back for seconds! Tried also Mars downrown. Cheap (P1500) but girls not beautiful at all. Rooms are really bad.

Bars: Viking is good. The downstairs one is better than the upstair one (with more locals, some sort of bikini bar). Blackhole is the best, with a lot of hotties. But they all seem very young to me. I asked the mamasan and she said they are all 18 (exactly?)! I did not risk it! Had a look at Blueline and it took me two seconds to get out. No good at all. UK Bikini Bar is nowhere to be found; might have closed. Thunderdome and Volvo Club have the same owner, and they are back to back. They are expensive (P4000 plus) and the girls are very beautiful but too young. It is not worthed it.

Restaurants: Lighthouse restaurent was not a great experience to me, although some report said it was the best in town. The foodcourt in SM city was the best and the cheapest to me.

Ayala and other malls: may be you guys are young and beautiful, but I cannot see any possibility of chatting up anyone in malls. May be it is just me, but the cafes mentioned in some of the reports are just too decent. May be it is different at night, or it's my bad luck.

Got P30,000 (about AUS$700) from the ATM at HKBC. Do not think I can spend it all on this rate, for the three weeks in the Philippines. Things are just too cheap and I am choosy on girls.

In Boracay at the moment and then Angeles City and Manila. Boracay is nice and relaxing, but no girls available yet. Will be reporting more later.

Hi. I just left Cebu and I am in Davao now. The Hotels you mentioned all have internet and most have "in room" safes. To be honest, I never trusted the room safes. I always lock up my money and valuables in the Hotel safe. At Metropolis Court Hotel they now want you to buy your own "internet card" for using their internet services. I just go down the street 50 yards on the right from the Hotel to an internet cafe that has webcams and costs P20/hr.

My Hotel in Davao has internet service and it is accesible 24/7 for P90/hr. Using it now for this Post. If you go to Metropolis Court do use "Lawrence" for any needs. Even the Hotel Manager is new and does not know anything. Only constants in a "sea of change" there are Lawrence (been there since Day 1) and Roland (5+ yrs ). Some of the Staff does not speak good English also so you need Vasayan for them. The two guys mentioned are both fluent in English and can handle any situation (Lawrence can line up ladies and advise you on Wild Orchid Massage Girls).

Feb Trip Report,

Just got back from approximately 3 weeks is Philippines and it was all good. Prior to going I had chatted in Yahoo Cebu room so I had met many girls who were interested in meeting me even though they knew I was already married. I had to do a little creative planning as I did'nt want any of them to be offended by me seeing other girls and I pulled it all off rather well. All Hotels in Cebu Island are "Girl Friendly". At least I have NEVER encountered one that was not(same for Davao, Makati, Leyte, CDO, Dumaguete City, Iligan City, Surigao City). Only one I know of is the "Lantaka by the Sea Resort" that does not like it. Being in Zamboanga City I do not think any of you will have to concern yourselves about this.

I just read your post for the first time. I was busy travelling and for the week back home I have been working a lot. I guess you are a rookie. How did you get lost at the Mactan Airport? It is so small I cannot conceive of anyone exiting from the wrong door.

P 30,000 with you! What on earth for now? Did you ever hear of credit cards? All the good restaurants, stores and hotels take them. As to Wild Orchid,. Fat women? When/where? The Viking was there 13 years ago on my first trip to Cebu. It was called the Puerto Rican then and has always been a "ripoff". It has always been way overpriced.

As I have mentioned so many times, do your homework before you make the trip. Timing is everything also. Girls at WIld Orchid will go for as little as P 700 which is what a guy I know paid once. He just said "this is all I have and if its not enough, I cannot afford extra service". What rooms did you look at at Metropolis Court Hotel that were filthy? This makes no sense at all. As to Ayala Mall and the other places you mentioned, these are unconventional ways to meet women. Did you get your questions answered? I do not want to appear as a self-imposed authority on the Philippines. But in case you are still "in the darK", here goes:

ATM Machines. All over Cebu. Best location is at the Equitable Bank ATM Station at Fuente Osmena, the Circle right at the center of Cebu City. Have the cab go along the Circle and you will see it. Has Security Guards there 24/7.

Hotels near the "Action". For this I highly recommend staying at Fuente Osmena. There you have the beautiful, upscale Cebu Midtown Hotel with a magnificent Restaurant, Bar and Lounge on the roof. It has a swimming pool also and will be in your price range.

There are three other less expensive Hotels right on the Circle and two just off it. The Park Place Hotel is very nice and has a nice Buffet for breakfast/lunch on the ground floor. it also has a lovely Bar on the roof. Last I checked the rooms included a full breakfast buffet in the price.

From there Silver Dollar and Firehouse GoGo Clubs are walking distance south on Osmena Blvd past Mc Donald's. 1 km north on General Maxilom are 5 CLubs including my favorite, Club Exotica. Fuente Osmena has several money changers, a 24 hr Pharmacy and two Pizza places, 1 that stays open until 03:00AM. Walking distance also takes you to an open air Karaoke Club where plenty of local ladies can be found at night (go south 1 km on Fuente Osmena and take the side St over towards F. Ramos; Karaoke is on this side St). Just south on F Ramos is the Thunderdome Club popular with the Japanese.

6 Kms north in Guadalupe is my favorite Hotel, Metropolis Court. The Suite Rooms with the jacuzzi on the first floor will cost you P 1500/nt ($ 26.50). If interested PM me or just go and ask for "Lawrence" in the Bar. Tell him you are a personal friend of mine and need assistance. This IS NOT "near the action", which is part of the reason I like it. It is a magnificent hotel with the famous Wild Orchard Massage and the Manhattan Lounge plus the KTV with about 50 girls. It is a 15 min, P 45 taxi ride to the Clubs I mentioned.

Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Restaurant/Bar, Wild Orchid ARE ALL open 24/7. Last Jan 31 returning from Club Exotica I awoke both my Woman and Daughter at 03:00AM and had them join me for a late night meal at the Bar. My Daughter was "cool" with this but my Woman kept complaining about my weird hours. I guess I should have left her sleeping and awakened my Daughter's 25 y/o babysitter instead. I told her with the Superbowl starting in a few hours it made little difference to sleep then.

Malaysia, this place definitely is not. You need to do a bit more checking beore "signing on the dotted line".

1. Mandaue is 30 minutes by taxi from Cebu City. I go through it to Cebu at least 10 times a year from the Airport into Cebu City.
2. For Women (Gals?), Mandaue is not a real exciting place. The Island Bar Playgirl just across the new Mactan Island Bridge from the Airport used to have the women dancing all nude. Most of the clientele was local filipinos before. I heard the Girls are wearing 2 piece bikinis now. I assume they still "fool around" with the guys in the Club.
3. Driving in Metro Cebu, including Mandaue City is very scary. Most of the vehicles on the road cannot be worth more than $ 1000 and drivers tend to make their own lanes on the road and ignore trafic lights. In accidents involving foreigners, they always try to blame the foreigner (how is your vasayan?).
4. No problem getting a driver's license but consider a driver for your vehicle. Let him worry about the other "nuts on the road", as you sit, buckled in. Me, I take taxis always. They are cheap and easy to find.
5. A decent place to live is not real cheap. Friends of mine pay around $ 300- $ 400 per month for decent apartments. I knew a bunch of ex-pats living in dumps in downtown Cebu City for $ 250/Mo. They had a/c but little else. All had furniture not even suitable for firewood.

You do need about $ 1,200 a month minimum to live a good life in Cebu. I would want at least $ 2,000/Mo as the lifestyle I prefer requires some additional items. Of course the same lifestyle here goes for at least $ 5,000/Mo.

Mandaue City is a poor, working class city. Personally, I do not like it at all. For a massage try Caesar's Palace not far rom the Bridge into Mandaue City. I used to fuck a girl who worked there for a year or so whenever I was in town. It was a girlfriend sort of deal back then so I did not pay her. But she made her income by fucking/sucking Chinese and Japanese customers at the massage parlor.

The Casas in Guadal;upe have Pros. See lawtence at the Bar at Metropolis Court Hotel. Pay no more than P 1000. You can get a gorgeous lady at Wild Orchid for that At nigt in downtown along Colon St, Jakosalem St & Sanciangko & Pelaez Sts are reelancers and I would think P 500 would do it. I doubt the quality is much.

I stopped hanging out in downtown Cebu around 1996. There were some small street in downtown then just below Jakosalem where you would walk around at night and find maybe 100 girls working the streets. This is a very bad area at night. Are you big, strong, fearless and tough?

Need to go back to Dec / Jan here. Lawrence is the man at Metropolis Court. Bar Manager and been there since Day 1 (6+ Yrs). Join their Club for a whopping P 110 ($2) and get discounts on your food / drinks and rooms.

Suite Rooms with jacuzzi are P 1500 & P 1800. Difference is mainly in size (private porn in P1800) as both have nice beds, cable tv, HBO & big jacuzzi in the room. I am in Cebu at the moment. I tried my luck in the malls so I can give some of you guys a bit of an update. First of all Ayalla: I believe this mall is a bit of a waste of time. The girls we're all after don't seem to congregate here. Sure you'll get the smiles but you would have to be very bold or lucky to pick up here. If you insist on coming here, I would recommend the Itilian coffee shop on level 1.

You've motivated me to introduce myself to the thread. I would like to see more people talking more about cebu, especially the many expats.

I am starting a business in Cebu in 6-18 months. Sorry, can't mention the industry.

NOT fucking my employees (this is in bad taste in my view (-: ) will be a challenge. My play will be out of the work world.

There are many offsoure/outsourcing companies in cebu. For example, the call center industry grows at 100% a year . They hire cebuanos at an incredible rate right now. Light manufacturing is also big. Some of the companies will hire Americans locally, but expect low salleries. Of course, your money goes MUCH farther over there.

Simply put, you should think about starting a HR outsourcing company. Where else can you find such well educated people that understand US culture and where the local wage is a fraction of that in the US and where english is spoken by the best of the best in a way that americans on the phone don't even know they are talking to a foreigner on the phone? Certainly not in India or China (the big oursourcing countries).

Do you know about VoIP? It means phone calls from Cebu to the US can be like domestic calls in terms of price and quality. Cebuanos can learn to speak with americans much easier than in other countries where outsourcing work is done.


There IS for sure quite a bit of HR work being outsourced from the US.

Last time I was in Cebu I met some incredibly talented HR professionals, and thier current salary is 1/5 or 1/4 of their counterparts in the US. They worked for multi-nationals.

I don't think you'll find a job state-side for many reasons. You're best bet is to go over there and network and see what you can find IF you don't want to start your own company.

You could start something small with just small clients in CA that have you do HR work for them.

We should meet up when I move to start the company if you're there.

I was there in 1992, even in Zamboanga City. I will be there this time again. Then, I was "young and adventurous, also without anyone else to worry about". I will not be wandering about this coming trip.

Keep to taxis and off the roads. I plan to be indoors with a view of the entrance everywhere I go, including Club Exotica. Another good reason for staying at MCH, it is built like a fortress with walls around it and a guard house. At least three armed security guards have to be passed before the hotel entrance (I alwyas thought they were protecting all the gorgeous pussy in KTV and Wild Orchid).

It's time for a low profile, and it's a poor time to be boisterously American. Today marks a month until the election and, to date, Davao has been quieter than Manila, with no serious problems at all. However, in my company, we're curtailing unnecessary travel to Zamboanga. Basilan, and even to Cotabato, just to be on the safe side. The general rule here seems to be, take private cars with drivers you know, be off the road in potential trouble spots by 4 in the afternoon at the latest, and don't stay more than a night or two in any of the potentially risky areas.

Had a bad reception at the Sogo hotel so moved nearby to the Cebu View which I used before and found as good as ever.

The big surprise was despite intensive cruising around the Sangkiango/Pelaez/Colon block and nearby areas I found no street meat where last NOvember they were on every corner. I lie a little, I was picked up by a little charmer on first foray but struck problems when trying to get cash from an ATM and blew it with her when I lost my temper at the damned machine. Sounds like you are going to have a nice time. My suggestions:

1) Palawan is very nice for beauty, and some nice resorts, some of which are not expensive, However, malaria-bearing mosquitoes do exist there and CDC recommends malaria meds be taken. I would agree that you heed that advice.

2) A little known place that is very beautiful is Coron, in Province Buswanga - about a 70 minute flight SW of Manila. It is stepping back in time a bit, with a small village like atmosphere. Has an affordable resort to go to, although it is somewhat primative with hot water a premium. However, it is unbelievably beautiful, with many mini islands and inlets to explore on bancas.

3) Sabaang/Puerto Gallera, popular with guys on this board, has bars, partying, but also very nice beaches and water and snorkeling/diving.

4) Right there in Cebu, on Mactan Island (where the airport is) has a wide variety of resorts from super expensive to moderately priced. You can also rent a banca to take you over to Olango Island, where there is a wild bird sanctuary, mangroves, etc. that are really cool to see. They also have people who live without electricity and only fish for food who will talk with you - very shy and gentle people who are happy with only the bare basics in life.

5) Go to Subic on Luzon, which is about a 3-4 hour drive from Manila and you can stop at Angeles on the way : ). Absolutely beautiful natural harbor, former base that is now accessible and wide variety of resorts.

Since you are in Cebu and have a few days to spare. Try the surrounding islands like:

Bacolod City, Negros Occcidental. Sugar Cane Capital. Lots of hotels under P1,500. Kipot Resort has a small twin waterfalls and plenty of trails. Not much on the mongering scene so B.Y.O.G. Some cute locals.

Alona Beach, Bohol. Great beach, fish sanctuary and many diving spots. Bring your own girl, though.

Tacloban, Leyte. I don't know why but it is quiet and the people are friendly in this city. Has some nitelife and action but you have to work at it.

Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte. Small island just off Surigao City. Cloud 9 Resort offers great waves for surfing. Gen. Luna locals offer island hoping to the many small islets for an afternoon luncheon. Mapupungko has great tide (and deep) pools during low tide. Fresh sea food like blue marlin steaks for only P60/kilo. another B.Y.O.G. place.

OK, you nimrods. I just got back from 5 weeks in Cebu. Here's the scoop.

Get a cellphone. It is absolutely mandatory. You can always sell it back to the place you bought it from when you leave.

For the value, Eddies Hotel is the best. The Metropolis Court sucks, despite what asshole Dragon Slayer says about it. Of course, if you want to buy the girls at the Orchid, I took a look and some of them seemed OK, but it's all a bit overpriced.

Went to Dumaguete, and there are a lot of university girls around, but not much action. Got a hooker named Annalee at the WHY NOT bar, and had a great time with her, claimed she was 19yo, but whatever age, she was worth the P600 I gave her.

Go to the websites and chat them up before you go, and you wont end up paying much for pussy. Ayala is like many American malls, so u wont have girls coming up to you begging you to fuck them, despite what all these bogus posts here promise you.

i spend some days in Cebu during my last trip. Hotel de Mercedes is good pricing (ph 720/night deluxe room) and the staff is very friendly and can help you in any "question". The Black Cat is one of the best Bikini Bar for price/quality of the girls. Try also the Scandinavian (i don't rember the name) at the next door.
It's possible find some beautiful and fine girls-freelancers everywhere (you have to ask). Many of them say they are studyng in University (maybe....).
