Finally able to post reports. Here is my input for Changsha, Hunan province.
My experience here are limited to the downtown area, the Dolton hotel, and Huatian hotel. they are both 5 stars, so price is at the high end. yet comparing to other big city, the price is cheaper. The sauna in both hotels are not bad at all. FS is around RMB 800 to 850 everything included: massage, ice-fire, bj, ML. The nice part is the BG all licks a-hole as part of the routine. So the whole package is pretty much everything I wanted. The quality of girls are 7-8 in looks, 7-8 in body, 9-10 in skill. In other words, the quality is consistent and the good skills won't disappoint you! But, there is always a trade off, once I declined a girl the manager brought in first time, in hopes of getting a better looking one, he did indeed brought in a better looking one and I took her without hesitation, but the skill turns out to be very bad: how can a wood fish lick ass and do ice fire?
I also had 2 girl at the same time for RMB400 extra twice. very educational indeed. seems they always go in pairs of one very slutty and the other kind of reserved. I recommend the hotel very much, but you should make sure that your room is in the VIP tower--which are 150rmb more than the other rooms, but worth it since the rooms are very well-designed in the VIP tower.
Apparently barbershops in Changsha do not give massages, but I did go to a massage place (not a sauna) across a big street from the Huatian. 35rmb for 45 minutes. Immediately as I got in the gal asked if I wanted an oil massage (tway-yoe) which would be 100rmb for the 45 minutes. She said it included a handjob. I had to decline because of my correctly suspicious gf. I asked about other things though, and she said that the gals in her place can give in-hotel massage for 200rmb which would free them up for the entire night. For sex, the expected tip she said would be 600rmb. Since I could not partake I did not negotiate, but I am sure the price would go lower.

I stayed at the Furama CHangsha. A four star place that cost RMB360. Across the street were 2 BBS with very very bright red lights (new bulbs?).
The sauna in the hotel is free for guests but the massage in the sauna is not included for free.
I did not investigate further as I aws with my gf.
Changsha seeems to have a lot on offer and is probably a training ground for the girls that come to Shenzhen (alot of Hunan girls here).
My gf says that Hunan and Hubei have similar spicy food but different culture. Hunan girls are the 'bad' girls.

I just came back from Changsha and stayed at the Furama. It used to be HK owned, and is now Chinese owned. The sauana is free for guests but extra services such as xiao jies are extra.
I went down to check it out and the first thing the guy at the sauna reception does is try to upsell you and take you to the individual rooms set up for action.
I took a look to humor the guy and out of curiosity see what the rooms looked like. The guy tried to sell high and took me to a VIP room first, which costs 900rmb. No thanks, I passed.
After this charade, I went to see the Sauna however, prominently posted in front of the door to the sauan was a color sign, specifically made for the place that said "Employees of the sauan have been know to have Venereal Disease".
That was a bit much for me. Ok, I know technically pretty much all xiao jies have the opportunity to give you some kind of VD, but when they put a sign out front prominently displayed in color, it basically told me to pass.
I went to get a legitimate massage just across the way (RMB148 for 90 minutes) and convinced the very hessitant massage girl to give me a HJ. After the session I tipped her RMB50. She was new to giving HJ's, but she was ok at massage.
Anyway, I went back to the sauna to shower and check out the facilities. I asked the towel guy how much xiao jies were and services start at RMB200 and go up from there.
They have a hot tub, dry sauna and steam sauna. However they only fire up the heat when a customer comes. Kind of lame because you have to wait for the heat to get going for any of this stuff.
I don't really think I will ever go back to Changsha, but if you are not disturbed by the VD warning sign, it is probably worth checking out.
I never did see the xiao jies but I am sure they have some decent ones there.

I have been in Changsha now for 4 months, apart from an initial foray into the BBS scene when I first arrived (I went to the BBS on Bayi lu as per “yellow fever #2’s” report [thanks!], 200RMB for FS), I have been concentrating on freebies.

Continue down Chengnan Zhonglu (the road below the elevated road), you will pass a few massage places on your right almost immediately (I don’t know if they offer FS), continue on till the next intersection. From here till Furong Lu, there are about 7 BBS shops on the right hand side of Chengnan Zhonglu, each shop has around 8 to 10 girls.
I went to the 4th one along, it was pretty clean with an air-conditioned room above the shop comprising of about 6 cubicles. All much of a muchness and since I was staying close by in the very gf Tian Xi Hotel ( excellent value at 380 rmb per night inc breakfast) decided I'd opt for a takeaway rather than some poxy back room. If you are heading north on Furong Lu, past the "big wheel" and Tian Xi Hotel on the left, then turn right at the first intersection with traffic lights, the main road heads east over a flyover but about 200 meters after the junction a slip road runs off to the side and you've struck gold. About 3/4 establishments on the right, looked a bit more upmarket than the 6/7 on the other side of the road under the underpass. Only had one evening free so no chance to fully explore but plenty of potential. Took my girl from one of the places on the left. Tried a couple of places first where she they either weren't up for a takeaway - or my bad Chinese and the Hunan accent worked against me. First time in Changsha. This seemed me straight away to be a hot city ! First hotel I try, I arrive in my room, there is mahjong table and 4 chairs (a sign...), a paying system TV with sex films (maybe only soft though, I did not watch). Changsha is the head city of Hu Nan province (hometown of the famous Chairman Mao)
Over the weekend I visited Changsha, staying at a very nice hotel close to the Royal Seal Hotel (Tian Xi) on Furong Zhonglu. The buildings and facilities are however not very well maintained and I’d rate the hotel as something between 3 and 4 stars.
My suite was quite spacious – it came with a small open kitchen in the sitting room. There were two bathrooms, one right by the door and had a toilet and bathtub. The other was located within the bedroom and was also equipped with a shower. At the bedside table and in the bathroom were advertisements for the sauna and massage service (located in the entertainment complex, though room service was also available. To make things “easier” for the guests, there was a condom in the bathroom (costs 30 yuan if I remember correctly).
After settling down I went out for a walk in the evening sun and before long strolled over to the entertainment complex, which housed a Japanese restaurant, a gym, rooms for snooker, tabel tennis, racket, and board games, a karaoke and a swimming pool, as well as a sauna. I went into the sauna and it seemed like there were at most one or two customers as most of the VIP rooms were not in use. There were only suites and no public bath area. They were all very big and well equipped, not only with en-suite bath and sauna/steam facilities but also waterbeds or specially designed lovemaking beds.
After a waitress had shown me around three different rooms, I asked to see the masseuses. She told me to wait in one of the rooms and then went and fetched a masseuse. As you will see later, this place is positioned as a straight bathhouse that is suitable for the whole family to enjoy, not as a brothel which is the positioning of the Convention Hotel sauna.
I went into the huge reception area (two to three thousand square feet, I suppose) on the ground floor, and was shown to one side to remove my shoes and put on a pair of slippers. Then I was escorted to the male entrance (the female entrance was located at the other end of the reception hall). I removed my clothes and locked them up in one of the hundreds of lockers, took the key (plus my phone and wallet), and bought a set of pajamas. This is the one thing that I hate about this kind of huge all-purpose sauna establishments. Every time you visit one, you have to buy your own pajamas. Of course you can take them home but I’ve got a wife. I believe in some places you can ask the house to keep it for you and then use it the next time. But I won’t really trust them with that, and I don’t often go back.
Anyway, the waiter in the locker room told me there were three types of services – a salt bath and two others that he didn’t explained clearly. I decided to try the famous salt bath, and went down the basement through a non-descript door as directed.
At first I didn’t see anyone in the basement, but suddenly a girl came from behind me and led me to one of the many bathrooms there. The bathrooms were partitioned by six-feet tall walls and so if you’re a very tall guy you can see what’s going on inside. In the middle of the bathroom there was a single bed made of steel with a plastic mattress. A shower was mounted on the wall, and a small plastic table stood in the corner.

Belated report as it was late last year but I tried the sauna in the Dragon Seal Hotel at Tian Xi. On the 7th floor as I recall. FS option in "VIP" room was 680 rmb. Last week, I decided to check out the services at the Dragon Seal Hotel. Sadly, the place is closed. Anyhow, are there ANY other fellow mongers living in Changsha?
After RTFF, I decided to explore the BBS area on Chengnan Zhonglu road. Couldn't agree more, pal. I've been blasted several times by the guys in Beijing for paying too much, but for me, quality counts a lot. That's why I frequent the sauna/spa circuits rather than bars or KTVs (even though I also like to drink). In addition, for someone traveling on a tight schedule (sometimes with colleagues), going out on an exploration trip at night may not be a viable option and the more expensive room service is the best (high quality, low risk) solution.
Anyway, I'll be in Changsha next week but not sure if I have time to try the spa that you just reported on. I suspect room service at the Sheraton is the more likely option as I'll be arriving late at night and leave the next day.

FIELD OBSERVATIONS: There are two different types of full service BBS in Changsha.
In the first type of BBS, a majority of the ladies actually live and work in the establishment itself.
What does is all mean?
Basically, the volume of daily customers these girls service is directly related to their living conditions. Amazingly, for whatever reason, a high percentage of these ladies are from Changsha. Normally, I’ve found most girls usually travel to a different city to conduct business. Why? Well, just imagine a father’s best friend dropping by for a quick POP-n-GO lube job? It is rare for me to find 100 RMB onsite, usually I am paying 130-150 RMB, but the same price + taxi fare generally applies for takeaway. 300 RMB is a fair price for LT. I generally do not do BBS girls LT, but if I take earlier in the evening, it has cost me up to 400 RMB.

For almost six months, the Changsha thread remained a relatively quiet corner of the ISG forum. Unlike Shenzhen, which developed as an economic and political counterweight to Hong Kong, the roots of Changsha’s tourist industry grew from seeds first cultivated during The Long March. Changsha is the gateway for pilgrims journeying to the hometown of China’s favorite son. Even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, average Georgians view Stalin as one of their own. With that in mind, despite this country’s rapid economic transformation, China’s enduring spirit remains tied to its long, turbulent history.
What Shanghai banker would fly to Kentucky to pay homage at Sinking Springs Farm? How many Beijing officials include Plains, Georgia on their travel itineraries? While a few Party members may tour a library in Yorba Linda, California, I seriously doubt President McKinley’s birthplace is considered a must-see vacation spot. I guess William’s support to the British during the Boxer Rebellion still rubs folks the wrong way. Thankfully, us Canadians attempt to stay out of other people’s family business.

What am I trying to say?
In China (like the rest of the darn world), p4p commodity prices are based on locally driven market forces. The price of Tea in China is determined by such factors as time and place, currency X-change rates, negotiation skills, knowledge of the language, along with basic market fundamentals. The old economic theory of supply and demand remains KING.
The following is but one example that supports this p4p theory. It’s based on the principles of deductive reasoning:

At the end of the previous report, I wrote “Up Next – SPA-lious Review.”
First, while I’m under no legal or moral obligation to generate another field report, normally, I do what I say and say what I mean.
Second, this original title suggests this writer struck mongering gold. Honestly, nothing could be farther from the truth.

What makes this next report interesting was Badge #70.
For the better part of an hour, a Changsha native offered
a rare snapshot into the inner working of the local SPA scene.

Not only did this spinner score high marks on her TOEFL exam, she displayed a keen interest in the proper use of English slang. In college, she had memorized a vocabulary list of dirty dialogue by watching American porno movies.

After a refreshing POP-n-GO at my favorite BBS, it was time for a hot shower. There’s nothing better than a special, full body pampering after a round of golf. A golfer has to keep his equipment clean. While some guys just wash their balls on the cart, I prefer going into the clubhouse.

Earlier in the evening, while trolling Chengnan Zhonglu road, I strolled by a SPA which appeared to offer some potential. These days, the nights in Changsha are rather brisk. So, when I spotted a walkie-talkie lady standing outside in a poorly fitted, J.C. Penney style, lavender colored, polyester evening gown, it only meant one of two things: (a) Church Bingo or (b) Handjobs-R-US.
In Sinzhen, it took some time getting used to the whole the locker room routine. How hard can it be to hang up underwear on a metal hanger anyways? Is handing me a dirty towel after a cold shower really worth 10rmb?

It appears the upcoming CNY is starting to impact

Recently stayed at the Vaya International Hotel. As with most hotels in China, if the word "international" is in the english name... it ain't international.

I was in Changsha in early January just for one night, staying at the Sheraton. To my dismay, it seemed that there was no special service on site.
