Just to get the Siem Reap forum going although I know there is a lot of information under the General threads. I was in Siem Reap over a year ago so some of this is a little old.

Siem Reap is a great place to combine a visit to ankor in the day for some culture and a girl or two at night. There seemed to be three options in Siem Reap.

1) A straight taxi rank - maybe more for the locals, won't speak too much english and are probably Vietnamese
2) A couple of Thailand style beer bars down by the bridge
3) The disco's with freelancers.

The quality can be a bit variable but I found siem reap a really easy and convenient way to meet ladies. In some ways it is better than Phenom Phen. More compact and open although the qantity is not the same.

Over to the more recent visitors to add more up to date info on the above options.

I was in Siem Reap a few weeks ago visiting Angkor. In general, I found the Cambodian women quite attractive--more so even than Thai women. I was staying at the Angkor Village hotel, which didn't seem very *****-friendly, so I didn't go looking for the freelancer scene.

I asked a tuk-tuk driver where I could find some action and he recommended a couple of massage parlors. Eventually went to Sok San Palace, which he told me was good but quite expensive. They had an impressive fishbowl, with 40-50 women, all fairly attractive, although not too many stunners. The men who ran the place wanted 50 dollars (US) for the massage, and I didn't feel like bargaining, so I paid upfront and picked out a cutie. The rooms were quite nice (for Cambodia), with a large separate bathroom and shower. Short massage, and then I started pulling her clothes off...no BJ, but nice FS with condom, which was a good fucking thing, since when I pulled out, it turned out she was on her period and there was blood all over the place.

I don't know about you guys, but Cambodia is the last place in the whole fucking world next to maybe Haiti and Sub-Saharan Africa where you want a *****'s blood on you (according to the World Health Organization in 2002, the HIV rate among female sex workers in Cambodia was 30%). Anyway, she seemed as surprised as me to see the blood and we immediately went to the bathroom and cleaned up. So that was my Cambodia whoring experience--would've been great otherwise.

Went to the Son Lak Palace and was very disappointed. The fish bowl has about 30 girls with either red or blue badges. Only the blue badges can do the oil massage which limited the choice to 3. I picked a cute one and headed to the room. The room had a bed and a massage table. The bath room was not very clean and I probably came out dirtier than when I entered. Shower was on my own. The massage was a little better than terrible. After massage I would not get her to do anything. I paid the $20 and left.

$50 for ST in Cambodia? RU Insane? In PP that would pay for a foursome (you and 3 girls) for ALL NIGHT.

Hi,

I will be in SR for two nights in late August. Any recommendations? If you need any info on the scene in KL PM me or check out some of the postings in Malaysia.

I travel to Siem Reap several times per year, so i know the scene pretty well. There are many options to find girls, although finding stunners can be difficult.

Easiest and safest option: get a reliable english speaking moto driver or taxi and ask him to take you to the massage places. there are at least 3 decent sized ones around with about 20 - 50 girls each. i remember at least two of them have the display outside in the courtyard on benches. Price here is about 20 - 25 usd /night, to be paid in advance to the papasan. That is long time to early or late morning. Make sure to get his mobile number just in case. No tips necessary to the girl in the morning, but of course appreciated.

Girls are Viet or Khmer, many barely 18, others more seasoned. Come early for variety. It is also possible to have ST in one of the rooms, but never found that tempting.

Do not go to Sok San, this place is a rip off.
Girls are nothing special, rooms are deplorable and the attitude of everybody there really sucks.

As for hotels, i took girls without any problems in any hotel i stayed, incl Sofitel.

I will travel to Siem Reap in 3 month - it is my first time in Cambodia.

I will stay in the hotel "Khemara Angkor Hotel", does anyone known this hotel? Are there any problems to take a girl up to the room? Lady-Charge?

Are there Discos with sexy freelancers there, name location?

Are there nice and clean GoGo-Clubs or Nightclubs like in Thailand there?

Thank you in advance.

Turbo Carl,

Siem Riep: three or four fishbowls.I did not like the quality.

There is a big disco with the name "Martini".Same name as the well know disco/pub in Phnom Penh.

Every taxidriver will know this place.

In the Martini is a mix: girls with friends but a lot of pro's.

Just sit down and wait.within a few minutes they will approach you.
If you see a girl at the dancefloor that you like, wait untill she is seated. If seated without a man, good chance she is available.

System is the same as everywhere: mamasan calls the price.

US$ 20-30 a night.

Next to that, I could not find a lot of attractive places.

Enjoy and report.

At the Sofitel in Siem Reap, I recommend the traditional Thai massage if you want great massage and the oil massage if you want extra service.

Arlogu,

I stay at the Sofitel several times a year but would never have assumed that extras would be available there in the health club. Please elaborate and tell us re what services at what price. Also, did you have in room massage or go to the spa?

I never had any problems taking any girls into the Sofitel. Love that walk through the long hall, by the restaurant, over the open deck with a hot little spinner in tow and all the male tourists staring with their tongues hanging out of their mouth, while they wait for their wife to come out of the toilet and drag them off to the souvenir shop to spend money on them. Try it before 9 pm, more audience, more fun.

Can anyone suggest a girl-friendly hotel in Siem Reap for around US$40/- a night. Will be visiting in the first week of September with a friend to see the Angkor complex.

There are usually a few good-to-go girls hanging around Zanzibar, a small hole-in-the-wall bar near the center of town. Most of the inexpensive hotels and guest houses are GF. The larger and more expensive hotels are generally not GF in order to protect their business with the tour groups. I stayed at the Ivy guesthouse ($25 US) in the middle of town center. It is GF but loud until the bar downstairs closes.

Travel Report

Follows from the CAMBODIA / PHNOM PENH section.

Siem Reap:

Hotel: Mandalay Inn
Price: US$ 15. Breakfast not included.
GF?: Yes at all.
Notes: Ok, good hotel good position. Only problem is no Frigo Bar in room and the breakfast not included, but the owner Mr Maung is a good guy.

Day 1:
Went to Martini discopub. Full of beer girl, but good selection of working girls with a mamasan.
Had a 25 y.o. beautiful khmer girl, US$25 LT (but you can bargain). Good oral skills, BBBJCIM. Good experience.

Day 2:
Whent to the "Angkor What?" Bar and to the Temple bar, but no action at all. Too tired for the night.

Day 3:
Went to the Zanzy Bar, a small girl bar just ten meters south from my hotel. Good selection, while a little pushy. Had a 23 y.o. khmer girl, US$ 20 LT. Good experience.

It follows in the THAILAND / BANGKOK section.

Soi ****, the girls I met at Zanzibar and Martinis all had connections at nearby guest houses for ST rooms. The rooms were cheap, but I ended up taking them back to my hotel. If you can sneak off for a brew, I think the girls you meet will be able to find a room within a block or two.

Siem Reap can be fun!

I came overland from Thailand - very fuckin rough. Ankor Wat is nice - you can score a somewhat regular girl there if you try.

There is a disco right over the bridge over the river running through town - close to the tourist hotel area.

Met an expat living in Camb and went to the disco. We were the only foreigners. Came in and sat down. 3 girls sat down with us. We drank Japanese beers, danced, etc. The girls were 9s young, slim, sweet, and a great attitude.

We didn't take any of the women - I was suffering from gut infection. They charged us $3 per girl for having them at the table. Turns out all of the girls work at/for the disco.

The next night I discovered a few red-light like massage parlors around the corner. You would never know they are there until you walked 20 meters down the alley. $10 for a great massage and full service. Girl are 9s. One (in the afternoon) didn't do oral. The evening girl was fine with oral. Massage was an 8 for both. Bring your own raincoats.

Later I found a travel agent lady. More sophisticated. Great in bed. Didn't give her any cash but bought my tickets form her (I may have overpaid - not sure). A nice experience. I always try to find a middle class experience in each country I visit.

Cambodia is rough but a great experience - for travel or hobby. You realize how lucky you are when half of the people you talk to have lost half of their family to Pol Pot. Always keep a bunch of 500 real notes with you for the various handicaps & abandon children. Sure, some of them are not so poor but most are just scraping by.

One interesting note: There are 200,000+ Vietnamese working illegally in Cambodia. Cambodia is a shit hole. What does that make Vietnam?

Newest massage place in SR is called TOPTOWN, on the road to the airport. (hate to use the phrase, but: all motos know it!). new standard for siem reap as far as rooms are concerned. pricey too.
massage only: 10 usd, with full program 35 usd.
tried to get 10 usd additionally out of me in the end, as he insisted it was 90 mins, but i didn't have any of it. 35 is more than i ever paid before in cambodia and maybe more than i should. but, it was a good experience, the rooms are very clean and of the highest standards, as cambodian brothels go.
the girl i had, gave a surprisingly good massage, BBJ and full service and was cute, pretty, willing,.
fishbowl had about 50 girls, mix of khmer and viets, from 5 - 9 in looks.
worth the money? not really, the going rate for FL's overnight is still usd 20 and you can find some real stunners there too, on a good night. martini's and zanzibar still the best haunts.

There are a number of places in SR All that I found except Top town are dirtyish, girls ok, chap prices and not worth your time unless you like something out of Tijana in the 60's. Rooms were bad with shite showers etc.

Top Town is out near the new section just in from the airport and is kind of fitting that the clean new area has a nice clean new place. On the right side of the road comming in from the Air Port in the middle of the new hotel section with a big yellow banner at the road side. The palce is about 200 meters down the dirt road. Enter with the bowl on the right and a lovely area for the rooms. A stair case leads to the second floor of rooms with some now theme focused. Nice place very nice place...Wanted 50USD for everything but 35USD was the go not incl tip. As to the others I visited but wouldn't go. All in the old town/market area. Hollywood, Toyko, 666, 333, and a few others. No Good, dirty and they started at 50USD for average girls a shite room! Siep Reap is very dusty and dirty. Not a place I would visit again. Get me back to Phuket, thank you!

I've been reading WSG for a few years and finally posting my first report. Thank you all for your reports which helped me with practical information for my mongering adventure and pure entertainment in front of the computer at work.

I think LOS was the best section to read and imagine all the fun I would have when I visit there. In December, 2004, I finally made a trip to Angkor Wat via Bangkok.

A day and a half in Bangkok was everything I imagined and then some. I did a dancer at one of the bars in NEP, another one at a massage, two girls I met at a street food vendor for a threesome and a very cute young thing in front of the Nana hotel. I keep thinking I am missing another one in between. My stay in Bangkok is a blur in bliss.

One girl I met at the beergarten had a such an incredible smile that I almost missed my plane to Siem Reap.

My trip to Angkor Wat was made at the last minute and had no hotel reservation, etc. I stayed at Angkor Star Hotel for $50/night. In SiemReap (perhaps for all of Cambodia), US currency is used very widely. The hotel was very clean, room was spacious. The hotel however, charged either $10 or $20 for the girl guest (sorry, I can't remember exact $$).

Although I didn't have high hopes for the fuckfest in SR, my personal taxi driver (whom I hired for $20/day) took me to a several places.

In this night club/restaurant/fish bowl all-in-one place, I had dinner, watched Cambodian singers and picked a girl for take-out all night. The girl was $50 and they wouldn't budge a buck.

Although the girl was a winner (GFE, perrrfect tits and the body), she kept asking me to release her since her mother was visiting her from PP. I didn't believe her but she was being very polite and I do think sleeping and fucking is two different thing.

Siem Reap is not exactly Bangkok and it is a very poor country. But visiting Angkor wat is an experience I enjoyed immensely and would like to do it again given the opportunity. yes, I would travel through Bangkok again :).

On the way back, I flew through Bangkok and intentionally scheduled the flights with 8 hours in Bangkok. Hehehe.

Sorry I don't have all the details in SR but if you are going to SR and need info, PM me and I will do my best to answer your questions.

Tahoe - My trip to Angkhor was in June, no reservation, bus/taxi all the way from Thailand. Room was $15 (there are some OK rooms more toward downtown - Dead Fish was OK) Driver was $8 per day (used 3 days) rained so didn't get to see much "nitelife". Most female entertainment pricing is based on skin color/nationality *(whites pay more). IF you pay it... "up to you". I know there are brothels in the area (not exactly what most "furriners" expect, but the locals are used to them) for maybe $3 (but $5 to westerners).

You can spend as much as you want or as little as you want, pretty much.

Snookyville prices were $5, takeout was 15

My trip to Angkor Wat was made at the last minute and had no hotel reservation, etc. I stayed at guest villa (Peace of Anchor) $15.00 as night- no girls to room.. The hotel was very clean, room was spacious, but a bit far from town. Lots of good rooms for 10 to 15 a night.

Although I didn't have high hopes, based on the post here I found that there was a lot available. Tut tut drivers always about “bang bang”. Tried Top Town and price and quality as reported. Service was just ok girl was a 8.5 great ass and tits

Next night tried VIP massage one hour $6.00. plus tip $2.00 Surprising clean room, but no action in premises. The girl, Chantilly, was a 9 with great tits and marvelous ass. We make arrangement for when she got off (11:30). Took a tut-tut to hotel for a quick room at local hotel that she knew …$5.00 for as long as we need. Came with 3 number 1’s (small condoms)

We showered (she didn’t what to play in the shower) and got into bed. She immediately put my head between her legs for dinner at the Y where it stayed till she had an orgasm. After a little head (didn’t want to do it at first) we tried all positions, but she liked doggie best and her ass was perfect. I wanted to do it but would not have any of that. Service was all about her. I still think this is strange for an Asian woman. Guess I have been living in China to long. Overall experience was a 5. I talked about my moving rooms and arranged for her to spending the next night but in the end I passed due to lack of quality service. Cost $20.00

Angkor wat is a great experience I enjoyed immensely and will to do it again in the rainy season and yes, I would travel through Bangkok for a night.

In November 2003 I stayed at the Golden Angkor Hotel, also known as Sovann Angkor (13 USD) and this hotel was very girlfreindly. I stayed there for 5 nights. the second night they arranged a lady for me and on two other evening I took a lady with me from the Zanzi bar and both times no questions and no extra payments.

PS: I booked this hotel in Pnohm Pehn when I bought a boat ticket to Siem Reap in Hotel Indochine.

All hotels in Cambodia are Gfriendly. I have never experienced or heard otherwise. As far as i know there are no exceptions, Interconti in PP - yes, Sofitel in Siem Reap - sure....Just don't be shy, do what you wanna do and don't ask the hotel staff whether they would consider giving permission to screw a hooker in their respected premises, just do it!

I am going to be staying at Angkor Hotel. It seems to be of the 4-star, package-tourist variety and I have great doubts they will let me bring in a girl, but...some of the posts here have been reassuring.

I just don't want to be humiliated in a hotel lobby, that's all. Any suggestions? Are there any short-term hotels in Siem Reap of the Nana Hotel variety? A dingy non aircon place will be fine as long as I don't get mugged! Perhaps, the girls from Zanzibar would know?

Anybody?

I stayed at the Angkor hotel in Siem Reap three years ago and had no problems bringing a girl in to my room. Just be discreet about it, that's all.

I'm curious to learn if the nearby cathouse is still in business. Walking out of the hotel to the street, take a left (on the main road), then turn right down the first paved road. The brothel is located on the right a couple of buildings down, even has a red light outside so you'll know you're in the right place.

Final advice: Bring your own condoms with you!

Well, this thread isn't exactly smoking, that's for damn sure. Anyway, back from my trip - here is the lowdown.

The cathouse mentioned by Mighty Spearsman in his post further down below is indeed alive and kicking. There is a Bangkok-style fishbowl, with the standard ensemble of young ladies with numbers on their dresses (some look too young - tread carefully). I was quoted US$30 for a massage and boom-boom (the "boom-boom" term seems to be universally used in SE Asia), but I offered $20 and they agreed. Overall, it was worth it just to say "I've been there", but I can't say I enjoyed myself immensely. The premises were dingy; a big cockroach crossed the sheets where the deed is done; I was directed to take a shower after the session which is a shower in name only, etc. I think I was cleaner when I walked it than when I came out half an hour later. The girl's attitute was mediocre - massage was predictably a nonevent, sex - she was just lying there with her eyes closed the whole time. She even gave off an unpleasant smell at times. Like I said, if you're really horny, it's there; otherwise, forget it.

Anyway, these massage places are all over the place, but I reckon they are all of the variety described above. I don't think you will find a local version of Darlings or Poseidon around here.

Zanzibar - a bar run by a Belgian chap. Drinks are cheap (US$2 for a bottle, I think - booze is generally cheap in Cambodia) and there are about 10-15 girls hanging around when I was there. Given the rather small girls, selection isn't bad. They are all freelancers; US$20 for both long-time and short-time; they don't seem to differentiate between the two. I didn't take mine to my hotel; rather, a short-time establishment. Expect to pay $5 for an hour for accomodation; either the girl or a tuk-tuk driver will know a short-time place. It helps to iron out prices ahead of time. The short-time "hotel" was seedy. Sex was average. Again, the girl gave off a smell periodically.

Martinis - it's one of the hippest discotheques in town. I waltzed in around 8PM. There were around 15 people; 14 waiters and yours truly. No punters or girls around. I was told the place starts to get going around 10-11PM. Drinks are expensive (for Cambodian standards) at $3 a bottle. I left after finishing my drink.

Khmer women - pretty in general, but less so than the Thais. Hygiene-wise, they also seem to be miles behind their Thai counterparts. English is NOT widely spoken, so you won't even get the half-assed dialogue you can count on with a Thai BG. Cambodia has also one of the highest AIDS rates in the world among commercial sex workers - at a ghastly 30%. Play it safe.

To cap it off, go to Siem Reap to enjoy what the place is most famous for - the magnificent Angkor temples. Save your condoms, money, and time for Bangkok.

Cheers,
Cloudy

Just back in Phnom Penh from SR. What I most like about Cloudy's post is his comment about the main purpose of a trip to SR, which is seeing the temples.

Zanzibar might be mentioned here on this thread a couple of times, but is is in reality a unappealing hole-in-the-wall expat joint with older girls, some nice attitude among them, but not much in the erotic or looks department, 4-6, the most. I would have to be real desperate to engage in some sort of sex with these beauties.

Hollywood, across the river, is an OK place, I dont think that any of the girls at this massage parlour are underage. Take out is $35 LT, in-house is $ 25. Fish bowl, #19 is nice, Viet girl, as most of them.

The Martini disco is hell on earth. I lasted there about 35 seconds and had to flee the scene, unbelievable how loud this place is, dB 105, I don't know, I yet have to understand how somebody can use this place as a mongering platform, maybe when you're already deaf.

Or you can pick up some of the fat, totally out of shape Brit/Aussie chicks at the Red Piano. Good luck, have fun.

Arrived in Siem Reap via Silkair (Singapore) on 10 July. No problem with the Airport's conditions. Stayed at Century Angkor Hotel and Spa, good hotel at about US$90 a nite + breakfast. Unfortunately security was tight due to some Ministerial Meeting beig held there at that time. Managed to go to Som Kon or something Massage about a km down the road (toward town). Picked a girl named Arlene (Girl no. 29) for massage and full service. Overall ordinary enjoyable experience. Went there at about 7.00 p.m. when I finished at 8.00 p.m., the Thai's style aquarium was full of more beautiful girls.

Overall cost: US$30.00 i.e. full thai massage US$5, FS US$20 and tip US$5 (optional).

Report has been moved from P.Pen section to this section where it belongs.

------------------------------------------------------------
19.

To correct a few previous reports of others about SR town:
To my knowledge there are NO brothels neither on the street opposite Zanzibar, neither around Martini's. None, zero. There are a few expensive massage/boom-boom parlours, that's all.

Zanzibar is an expat bar near the old market. It had one bored and very painted ho sitting outside. She didn't even smile. It seemed there would be nothing to write about but then a very ugly ho stopped me on the street just opposite Zanzibar. Offered F/S for $10 in her room or mine. She was about 20 but very ugly with crooked, stained teeth.

We talked for about 2 minutes and she sticked on me, couldn't get rid of her, she kept following. I actually had to run away.

Martini's disco is just across the bridge from the old-market. Opens far too late, is full of cigarette smoke and a beer is $3. It's mostly a locals scene. Hardly any foreigners at all. Need to say more?

This town is really owned by foreign prostitutes who fuck for jewellery, house and marriage, or a lot of saliva dribbling and asslicking. They do not tolerate any cheap competition undercutting their business (which being same but for charging a lot more). Not much honest meat-for-cash available at all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

About Angkor Wat.

Is it really worth seeing it? Is it worth the trouble and the cost?
Not really. It's $23 for a day's permit plus $8 for transport. To be honest if you have seen Sukhotai then you have seen all ruins in the world. At Sukhotai you only pay $1 entrance fee if I remember well. Plus hire a bicycle for another $1.

Angkor Wat seems to be just another big hype to raise cash. Just piles of old stones everywhere. Like dried bones of some ugly dead big animal. You know what it reminds me? The story of the "Emperor's New Clothes". The people were told that only those can see the clothes who are intelligent. So everyone pretended that they did. Until a little kid came and said that "the man is really naked".

The same goes for Angkor. maybe they really should pay people to go there. There is nothing. For Angkor Wat itself half an hour is too much. For the rest even less. The green rice fields around the complex are possibly the most scenic.

Plus they only should let in no more than 100 people a day. The crowds are horrific, like Tokyo in peak hour. So many intelligent punters. Sure they all can see 'it'. They click away their cameras and proudly brag back at home. "We have seen IT. It was wonderful. (Aren't we intelligent? pat,pat..)"

Just to illustrate how big cash-making machine Angkor Wat is: That one (late) morning there were several hundreds of tourists at just one site. And they continually came by the thousands, by busloads during the day. If they let in just 100 people a day @$20/ea =$2000/day income. That provides income for 600 lazy, do-nothing Cambodian workers @$3/day each.

Buy some dustpans and brushes for them and they can wipe clean all those blackened stones. The actual income must indeed be huge from entrance fees alone. Add to this the leases on site and the taxes from the town businesses, etc., etc.

Alexander,

You dismiss Angkor Wat as "just piles of old stones everywhere." You've got to be kidding me, bro! Your comment shows an appalling lack of historical and cultural awareness. There's more to Cambodia than just brothels, you know.

The only part of your post I agree with is the P4P scene in Siem Reap. Go to Siem Reap to see the spectacular ruins, not for the P4P action. Though more power to 'ya if you find a stunner (few and far in between) in Siem Reap.

To Alexander,

Ankgor is build between the 8 th to 12 th centuries. Sukothai is find in the 13th centuries. You cannot compare the two. Ankgor is the ten largest man made wonder in the world. It is much larger and older than Sukothai. I agree with you, the government is charging too much, but if the tourist dollar go to help the people in that country, I have no problem with that.

Fast eddie 48

(Aren't we intelligent? pat,pat..)"

I spent ten days in Siem Reap in August, this month. On the previous report the old market, the bridge and Martini are mentioned. If you keep on walking in the same direction after you cross the bridge, about two long blocks, on the right side, there are at least three "massage" places. Did not go in. The last one "Hollywood Massage", I think is the better one. There were about 30 Vietnamese girls, all young. There were three or four that I would say were not good looking, but were OK. Locals $5, outsiders $10. Take out $20. Took a couple at different times. The first one was OK. The second one left at 4:00am. I learned a while ago that it is better not to argue, just let them go.

There is another massage place about two blocks from the main street, on the road that goes toward Poipet. The name of the joint is Tokyo. There were also about 30 girls, all young. I did not see anyone attractive. the price, take out $50!

I staye at "The golden Angkor Hotel" $12 night, not bad. They sell bus tickets
to Poipet, $12. a van came to pick me up, took me to a gas station, I was told to get on top of a pick up truck. Hell no! Got my money back.

BEWARE of this scam!

I wrote my last report at a cafe internet. I would like to say a little bit more regarding my previous report. I had been in Cambodia many times. I have lost count. I have traveled by air, some times by land which costs about $40. I took the boat from Koh Kong to Sihanukville three times, in those three times the boats were overloaded with goods and people. If they had vests they were unreachable. On top of that, the sea is always agitated. I took a pick up truck once, the only service from Koh Kong to Phnom Penh, it is a grueling seven to eight hours on an unpaved road, same as the road from Siem Reap to Poipet. The road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is paved!

As I mentioned in my previous report, I spent ten days in SR. The bus I took from the central market in Ph Penh discharged passengers barely at the entrrance of Siem Reap. I walked aimlessly until, mercifully, someone directed me to the center of Siem Reap. Without lookin for the Golden Angkor hotel I stumbled upon it! It has clean rooms, ac. cable, bottled water all for $12.

The bus ticket I was sold to go from Siem Reap to Poipet turned out to be a scam, they sell you bus tickets and make you travel on top of a pick up truck! the sun and dust are unbearable. I took once that trip. As an adventure once is enough!

I took a real bus for $4 to Poipet the following day. After clearing customs at the Thai side, after few yards on the right side of the exit I found buses to BKK for 100 bt, $2. 50. the trip takes tree hours!

I thinck this is really Shit, what you tell here. I was there about 15 Years ago first time. It's the Best what you can see. The Combination of Temple in the Jungle is great. If you just go to look the main Temple in 10 Min., then of course you don't see much. But as we see you write about Angkor in SexGuide , so better tell Stories about Boum-Boum, than about Temple that you didn't see.

The fact is, it probably costs $200-300 extra just to travel to Angkor from Bangkok anyways. So, big deal if the government charges $23 a day to see it (or $45 for 3 days). They are using the Temples at Angkor to try to fund the re-building of the entire nation's infrastructure, and those temples are, frankly, the ONLY resource besides dirt cheap labor that the entire country has got. I certainly had no problem spending a bit over $20 to spend an entire day there seeing some of the most amazing ancient structures on the planet earth. Frankly, if you are from somewhere far away, and you DON'T take the trouble to see Angkor, you are missing something really important in the historical development of humanity.

The way I look at it, spending the fee to see the Temples at Angkor It's about the same as a short time girl in Thailand, or an all nighter in Cambodia. And Angkor is far more memorable and unique, and you will be far better for it in the long run, than that one extra bit of shagging. And most of us can easily afford both, in any case.

Who of us remembers the "Nok, Noi, On or Anh" from a year ago ?

That said, I'm still looking forward to my first trip to Angkor. Wasted all my time in PP, K11 and S-ville on previous trips.

Next time for sure.

OK - on Angkhor - some people promote the week package (evidently a bit more expensive than last year when I went - it was 20/40/60 for 1/3/7 days). There are a few temples worth seeing (unless one is into reconstructive jig-saw puzzles) - Bayon, Angkhor Thom, Anghkor Wat, the sunset from the hill directly in front of Angkhor Wat, the various "gates". The rest of them are essentially for the archaeologist - big piles of rocks (a couple of smaller temples were a bit interesting) After a couple of hours, they start looking the same. BUT - well worth the trip - even to the "piles" as long as you enjoy watching some reconstructive efforts (funded I might note by OTHER than the US for some reason)

I did 3 days. Either take plenty of water or buy en route at the various food/drink stops in the area. Wear comfortable shoes you will be climbing in (pretty hard to see most of the interesting stuff without climbing - have no fear of heights, and don't expect handrails - few and far between) Go now before it gets so popular they restrict entry

Member #2041

Don't omit Ta Phrom. It's the un-reconstructed temple that has been left mostly in the state in which it was found, largely reclaimed by the Jungle. Personally, I found it to be the most fascinating of all, and at least as worthwhile a visit as the Bayon and Angkor Wat. Three days is more than sufficient. If you have a knowledgeable guide and a car and driver, you can see all the major temple sights in one complete day.

a corporation. Below is an excerpt I copied from...

http://www.talesofasia.com/cambodia-sokimex.htm
*********************************************************

As you head north towards Angkor Wat, capturing that first glimpse of the famous towers peaking out from behind the trees, you no doubt think, 'at least my money is going to save the temples... isn't it?'

Look at that ticket again. Above the picture of Angkor Wat it says "Sokha Hotel Co., LTD." They are the ones taking your money. Sokha Hotel is a division of Sokimex - a corporation founded in 1980 with close ties to the CPP government. Aside from the Angkor ticket concession, Sokimex is a petroleum company, and is a supplier to the government of military uniforms, medicines, and food for the military. It is also involved in import-export, rubber, transportation, and real estate.

I looked around a bit one night to check out the scene. Mind you, I am a first-timer in Asia and first time in Cambodia - I like the Korean MP scene in the US where the girls are pretty, young, and in the business for god know's why but at least not because they are dirt poor with nothing else to do.

Zanzybar - best looking chic here was a dude with a pockmarked face but a nice body...

Crazy Kim's or some such - a little better than Zanzybar

Sok San - some people singing Karaoke, looked to be girls, didn't stay

Blue Wave club - very dark but the girls looked none too hot

All three are on or just off Srivatha street. Across the river was Martini which seemed to have girls but they wouldn't let me in with my bottle of water I was carrying to rehydrate in the heat!

YMMV of course because I did see westerners with good looking Khmers.

Gohan - a bit misleading - true, the hotel company gets 10 percent for issuing the tickets, but the other 90 percent goes to APSARA (the organization responsible for maintaing the temples and such)

It's well documented (of course, there is probably a little graft in there as well, but it doesn't all go to the hotel company)

I will arrive in Siam Reap Intl. Airport on the 27th at 20.00.

Which hotel / guesthouse do you suggest to stay? (of course guest friendly....)

And where do you suggest to hang out for the first night?

And some other practical info:

- Visa: doable at the airport (20 USD + photos) correct?
- Where to chanhe money?
- Better to have Euro or Dollars?

ANZ bank is now opening ATMS in Siem Reap. Two are now (barely) operational, although they would not take one of my ATM cards. (My spare ATM card, linked to a different bank, worked fine; the rejected card worked at ANZ in Phemn Penh). Just ask your moto or tuk-tuk driver for "A-N-Zed Bank."

Dollars are still the #1 currency in Cambodia. Nobody uses Euros.

The "scene" includes Martini's (too loud), Zanzybar type places (bar with pool table and working girls glad to be picked up) and a series of fish-bowl massage places two blocks further from the River from Martini's. From the plaza or street in front of Martini's you can spot strings of red and white lights down the street that heads away from the river - 2 or 3 blocks away - that is where they are. The middle place of the three massage places appears the cleanest. I was quoted $ 25 once and $ 30 once for 90 minutes. Hollywood quoted $ 15 for one hour, the rooms are dingy there. If you go this route, I would ask to see the rooms first, and that way you may be a cleaner one. The women appeared pretty cute in both places.

City Spa, Chai etc. are legit massage places on the road from town to archeological area. I had a world class oil massage and probably overpaid at $ 15, I know that price could have been negotiated as they guy who quoted it went home and they did not know what they had to charge me when we were done....but it was much better than the $ 6 massage (also legit) in the center. YMMV.

I do not know about TopTown.

Play safe - HIV rate is very high in Cambodia. HF

Hi,

I was in S. R. In December and I stayed at the Golden Orange Mansion www. Goldenoranghotel. Com a new hotel tv, air c. Fridge and really friendly, if you want they can call for you a lady for a full massage. 20 dollars per night, they didn't accept credit card, you'll probably need cash for the bill! If you like disco and a little of action, like me, go to ZoneOne you find there either regulars and more or less 15 mongers (I had a great time with one of them) 25 dollars for long time, you should give money in advance to the mamasan. In my opinion the best place where to spend your time without problems. If you prefer massage try Hollywood. Zanzybar is a really bad place and Martini is nothing special.

As for Visa you are correct, it's possible to change money in the airport at the time you arrive but you had better to change money (dollars) before, so you could save time. In Cambodia now the real currency is dollar especially in S. R. , Riel is used just for little things (1 dollar is + or - 4000 Riel). The place isn't dangerous, I hope you'll have a good time as I had! If you'll need further information, just ask!

Just came back from Siem Reap. Stayed at the Freedom Inn, which has rooms at $15, $20 & $25 w/ good cable TV, fridge, hot water & swimming pool. It's a bit outside the center of the things (I wanted a place w/ a pool & ESPN to watch the football), but it was a decent place and good value. It is girl friendly.

For three nights I went to Khmer discos around town and had a great time--I never got the names of the places, just told the moto driver that I wanted to go to a place where the locals hang at. Waiters saw I was on my own and brought round a few girls; there were gobs of super hotties but they were w/ locals and didn't strike me as working for living. The working girls were good looking, but not as smokin' as the hotties. LT time at my hotel was $15 and $20. Bumped into a group of Korean college students at the disco on night 2, and as I speak fairly good Korea I partied with them to hook up with one of the girls. Chatted up one the girls and learned they were staying at my hotel. Had an okay freebie.

Angkor Wat is a much better experience today than it was in 1994. Back then I was hounded everywhere by beggars, "tour guides" and peddlers. A non-stop cacaphony that had me flee the place as I couldn't enjoy it. On this go I did the 3-day pass at $40. The cost is worth it since I didn't get hassled while visiting the temples. Correct that: I was a little bit hassled when I got out of car, but as soon as I entered the defined temple areas no peddlers are allowed to enter.

The government-approved tour guides are worth the price, which is typically $20 a day. I've never used a guide anywhere before, but my guide was awesome. I felt sorry for those I saw wandering around looking at guidebooks. You spend so much money to get here, just a little bit more makes the experience so much better. I hired him from sunrise to sunset for 3 days, and he really made the experience. No push at all to go shopping, etc. Of course he offered, but never pushed. I have contact info for Mr. Chhay (pronounced "Chai", like how the Indian word for tea) so if you want it PM me--I check the board about once a week so do so BEFORE you arrive.

If you want to save a lot a money don't fly direct to Siem Reap. A return ticket from either Bangkok or Hanoi is almost $400. I flew Air Asia from Bangkok to Phnom Penh for less than $100 return. The guide books I read stated that the road from PP to SR was kinda buggered, so I took the boat at $25. The boat trip is okay, but there really isn't much of visual interest. BTW, the PP to SR road is NOT buggered. I took the bus at $8 from SR to PP. The bus took the same 5 and a half hours that the boat took. The bus station is across the road from where the boats launch. There are decent, affordable & girl friendly guest houses ($15) near the bus and boat.

If you want to see some awesome Angkor Wat photos by a Siem Reap-based American photographer visit asiaphotos dot net. John McDermott has 2 galleries in SR; one "downtown" and the other near the Le Meridien. Well worth a look. Pricey, though. Very pricey.

FYI, a year ago when I was there, I bought a 4-leg airpass on Bangkok Air for $275. This covered TWO round trips for me: Bangkok to Siem Reap, back to Bangkok, Bangkok to Koh Samui, Koh Samui to U-Tapao (closest airport to Pattaya).

Can anyone recommend another airline or alternative? Considered going by land to Siem Reap, but 4 hours in a bus would be my limit.

Cheers.

The BKK to Siem Reap route is a Bangkok Air monopoly. They are the only choice for that direct flight. Don't know about BKK to Phnom Penh, but I can tell you that it is a corporate strategy of Bangkok Air never to compete with discounters like Air Asia. If they can't tie up a route, they won't pursue it.

The bus ride is about 5 hours - leaves from near the central market in PP and arrives at the bus station in SR. A bit boring but nice countryside. One or 2 pee stops enroute (no on-board lavs). Take a lunch

There were some Cambodian airline service with propjets from PNH-SR but that might not be avilable now. Depending on your itinerary, 1 night would probably not be enopugh in SR - IF you are going for hobby, you would actually be better off going to Snooky (4 hour bus ride) - no other way there from PP. SR is only valuable as a cultural trip to Angkor (which takes a whole day by itself - minimum)

Flying to Siem Reap was a reapoff in the past, especially from Singapore where SilkAir had the monopoly.

But now the things has changed. Jetstar Asia, a subsidiary of Quantas, started flying Singapore-SR route three times/week. Round trip, restricted tickets, will cost you around S$210 including taxes. Jetstar Asia also fly to Phnom Penh and you can buy one way ticket to either places. So you can buy SIN-PP and SR-SIN ticket for S$210 and make an overland transfer between PP-SR. Just my two cents.

Went to www.talesofasia.com (Great Site) and Cambodian Airports website for flight schedules, but can't find any pricing on the PP to SR trip. Any info or advice on the SR to PP flight, costs. Also getting worried about all the discussion on HIV in Cambodia photo section and thinking about skipping any mongering activity in Cambi and just head back to Thailand. I looked, but did not stay, at the Red Piano which is at the center of the action. It's nice and not a rip off--provided you don't define anything more than $5 a rip off. Very good food there, too. Asia Smiles,

I am glad you found my modest contribution to be helpful!

The bus trip from Phnom Penh to S R is not that bad. The road is paved.
It takes about seven hours to make the trip.

The trip from Poipet to S R or the other way around is bad, I think because
the buses that cover that route are unreliable, they break down because of
the bad state of the road, it is a dirt road. When it rains it gets worse.
I sympathize with Cambodians who have to travel along that road.

The hotel stored the majority of the luggage as only a small handbag was recommended for the flight to Cambodia. Siem Reap was the destination and although it said "International Airport" one could tell from the one gate and no jetway that this was a rather sleepy airport. A bus was waiting to go to the hotel and he was very pleased with the way the old classic French hotel had be refurbished, air conditioning, a fine dining room, bar and pool. After a hot shower and filling meal he was ready to check out the night life. The hotel also had a spa (massage, etc.) but very expensive. The elevator boy said there was a good place outside not so expensive called Chai Massage and that they would send a car. He has seen the location and sign on the way in from the airport and had noticed that they were advertising as "relaxation massage."

Upon entering and paying for an hour massage he was shown to a small stool in front of a room door. There he was to remove his shoes/sandals and dawn thin clothing that was like a pajama and he left the top unbuttoned. When she entered she motioned for him to be face down. The way she crossed the soles of his feet and pressed down, he was not surprised at what was to follow. She was small but very strong with strong hands and legs and body. The fingers of her hands found every human nerve that a body contained and applied pressure. He was not a massage expert but felt he was being "treated" to intense reflexology. She knew her trade very well and worked one leg and then the other. As her hands moved up the leg toward the groin the pressing became so "painful" that all he could do was laugh at the intense "tickle" and try to avoid crying or jumping out of his skin. The amazing thing was that she did not press long and when she did there was no pain once she moved on. Later she was able to bend and twist him and he was confident that he would not break; that she knew just how stiff or loose his muscles were. She would sit and pull on the legs and push with her feet using her strong legs to do much massage work. Her feet were so skilled that they felt like small soft "hands." The hour passes much too quickly and at the end of the session he asked if he could see her again. She spoke virtually no English, but managed to covey that she was called # 28. So the next day after a long hard hot day at the temples he wanted more of # 28. This time a 2 hour session was arranged. Before this, he had never felt he could afford a two hour session, but $30 for two hours was just too good a deal. The second night was less stressful for him. He knew the pain would pass quickly and what she would expect and when; how for him to turn and respond to her routine. This lady was truly an expert. She did more or less the same routine but worked each area harder and in more detail before moving on. Now when she pressed his leg near the groin he was better able to keep control and not make too much noise or twitch out of control

If one has to travel from SR to PP or visa versa then a toyota car is maybe a good option. us$25-30 for your own car or shared for less. Three hours on a very poor road when the conditions are good. If time is of the essence, (and for one mongering on a short holiday I would say that time is of the essence ) than there is a good driver (who is also very fluent in Thai) that you can find at the tales of asia website. He also can point one to some interesting parts of SR (you want to talk about viet girls and he will have a bigger smile than your's).

Siem reap has great bars and restaurants and make sure to visit martini dancing. Great late night spot where I picked up a beautiful cham girl who was overjoyed with $20 Australian.

Day 1, I hired a tud-tud from my hotel to take me to Hawaiian Massage, a place I did not know where it is and its pricing system. The driver of the tud-tud took me there and talked shortly in Cambodian to the staff of the parlor. After I walked in the parlor, I saw 15-20 girls in a glassless fishbowl. These girls were quite young, 20-25 yrs. old and scored 6-8 on the face rating. The boss asked 50 at first, then dropped to 35 after I complained too expensive. I knew PP had a much lower prices but not aware of the prices in Siem Reap. Since time was limited and more precious to me during my stay there, I accepted the price. I selected Wee, a 18 yrs. old Vietnamese who happened to walk through the sideway of the room when I was searching my object in the fishbowl. She had a very young face and body. I doubled-checked her age before I continued my action. She led me to a sub-par small room with a tiny bathroom. We both stripped and she proceeded to massage me for 5 minutes before she started to excite me. The foreplay was short and after she put on the condom she wanted me to f*ck her. No kiss and no BJ allowed but DATY was OK. I finished in the missionary position in a short period of time. Girl was young, beautiful (8.5) but service was poor (5).

Day 2, I went to Hawaiian Massage again the second night. The price dropped to 30. The selection was limited (less than 10). I selected a 22 Vitenamese, Ny. She did a massage job about 10 minutes that was better than Wee did the previous night. She provided short-time BJ with condom but still no kiss permitted. We tried a few positions and finished before the 40 min mark. Ry is beautiful (8) again but the service is not good (6).

Yeah the place was called martini dancing.

It is just across the river from the bar street.

I went to another place,a khmer favourite that was called by four letters or four numbers. It was really jumping when I was there and had many beautiful women but one would have to speak Cambodian.

Hi Prof,
Sorry to be a pest, but I'm planning a trip to Ankor to do some dirt biking in October. What currency are you quoting ?
I'm trying to work out prices and how much to spend on things like taxis (tud-tuds?) and girls.

The de-facto currency of Cambodia is the U.S. Dollar - paper money only. The Cambodian Riel is used to make change on a dollar, with 4000 Riel to a dollar.

A dollar can get you taken most anywhere on a tuk tuk. I got an entire 90 minute tour of Siem Reap for $2, and was thanked profusely for my generosity when I handed him the second George Washington.

Freelancers can easily be found for $20 or less, but I found that the massage parlors tend to ask for $50 short time, and one has to negotiate hard to get the cost down to $30 in Siem Reap. Phnom Penh is much cheaper.

Was in Siem Reap in June 06.

Temples are great, I rent a bicycle 1$/day. Couldn’t rent a motorbike like in PP, probably because of the tuk tuk mafia. Plenty of hotels: Ta Phrom near the market for 34$, or City River near the river for 35 $. Don’t come in the hotel with your motor bike taxi or he will ask for a commission to be added to the price of your room.

Night life:

-Disco: Martini near the bridge to the market, very dark and very loud. Better go to Zone One, many beautiful girls.

-Bars: Blue Wave bar, dead with ugly girls, and Zanzibar the same.

-Massage Parlours: the best option in my opinion. They are located on the strech of road, a bit further away from the Martini: Hollywood (ST 20$), Madonna (ST 25$), DoRéMi (ST 30$), Bopea (ST 25$). Experience depends of the girls, but lacks of enthousiasm.

Best massage parlour is on the road to airport : Top Town, full of beautiful girls (ST 35$). Did feel stupid coming on my bicycle in front of the girls, when the chinese businessmen were coming in their BMW.

- Taphul road has a place mainly catering to cambodian boys, but some of the girls are nice and ok to go to your hotel (ST 5$/7$)

Overall, ok to see Angkor wat, but for the fun PP is the place to go.

I Visited Phnom Penh and Siem Reap At the end of 2005.
Yeah! there are at least six massage places on the street straight past the
bridge, by the old market.I took three girls in three different nights from Hollywood Massage for all night to my hotel. I paid $20
for each. Sure they wanted more, but, if you walk away prices will drop!
It is a fish bowl set up. There are few tables in front of the girls to sit and have a beer. Seems to be a popular place, girls are always on the move, they
are all Vietnamese.

Before reaching ¨Hollywood¨, on the same side there is another joint, massage place, it has big parking lot, it must have close to 100 girls, both
Viet and Cambodian. I paid $20 for a girl, all night! They looked to be over
18, all young.

I also visited Tokyo Massage, they were no better than the girls at Hollywood
and the pimp asked $50 short time!

Samu Ray
10-27-06, 02:01
It is easy! At any place where sex is sold, there is an attendant, usually male.
Observe what other customers do. Take your time. I spend from half an hour to one hour just looking around. Girls who are busy would come out in about
that time. When you find a girl you like talk to the attendant, how much would it be for the whole night for this girl? that`s it! if you think it is too high
move on. There is no shotage of massage joints in Siem Reap.

There is a bridge close to the old market you have to cross in order to visit
these massage places. You don`t even need to take a tuk tuk. I think they
open for business at 7.00 pm. The street is not paved. When in rains it sure
is muddy!

Someone reported that ¨Hollywood¨ massage is closed. There are others on
the same street. I remenber one with a big parking lot. Is is on the right side
as you pass the bridge. Girls, over 50, sit in rows. If you get to the parking
lot you could take a look at them. They would not see you, they face slightly
to the right.

If you find a good place, report it, that way we will help each other!
Good luck!

Phnom Penh is a bigger place. Probably you need a tuk tuk. A while back one
of those drivers took me to a place where I found a nice girl for $10, all night! I have no idea where this place was! It was night time!

Well, here’s an update on this season’s prices at least.

Managed to escape my tour group after dinner and asked a tuk-tuk driver to take me to Sok San Palace, as recommended here.

Lots of flashy lights outside, and inside the fishbowl looked reasonable – about 20 girls in all. Mostly young, some quite pretty, but the papasan guy was asking $80 US for a 1 hour massage and boom-boom. Not what I had read on this board, so I discussed lower prices with him but it was no deal. Eighty period. No bargaining. I left.

My tuk-tuk driver was still outside, and he said he knew another place, so off we went and it turned out to be Madonna’s across the bridge and further on from Martini’s bar. Much lower scale, dimly lit, lots of girls (about 30 in number) but also lower quality, although one caught my eye. Asked the price from the mamasan - $50 for 1 hour. Same story, take it or leave it. No bargaining. I left again, not willing to pay this much when I had read otherwise here.

The tuk-tuk driver took me to a third place – almost next door to Madonna’s, called Bopea. A former hotel (cheap one) now a straight-up bonking shop, much better fishbowl presentation than Madonna’s, better girls too, and $45 – again no budging from the price.

At this point it was clear the prices are fixed and you have to accept it or go back to your hotel and have a wank. There was a very cute girl on the front row, number 38, so I asked for her, paid the guy at reception, and then he told me it was strictly one hour and only massage and boom-boom – no blow job. He repeated this with emphasis. Then he said they’d had a customer who refused to pay because he didn’t get a blow job. I said, OK, cool, no blow job, thinking wtf?

When she came out of the fishbowl she looked quite young, so I asked for her ID and age (this is not the place to make a mistake like that) and she turned out to be 23. Upstairs to a long corridor of empty rooms, and in to a bare bedroom with two single beds side by side, a desk and a shower/toilet. Reasonably clean.

She was very cute, very pretty, and very inexperienced. Actually, the massage was good – she did know about that –but when it came time to boom-boom she got all coy and shy. I had to coach her through it. In a way, this was kinda fun.

Nice body – though she had some red marks on her skin that looked odd – and nice trimmed bush. But everything was played very safe, all covered. No kissing, no daty, NO bj – just boom-boom.

But the boom-boom was very good. A Khmer girl. No English whatsoever. And very enjoyable.

It seems there’s a major convention coming into town next month – some 25,000 people per day expected for a cultural exhibition of some kind. Lasts two months, December to January. Maybe this is affecting the prices.

I've read here before that sometimes the hotels can arrange something so I might try that route. That is an option, yes, but my hotel quoted $25 for the service. That makes it less attractive since the prices in Siem Reap are already high for this area.

Plus, you don't get to choose your lady - unless you want the hassle of sending back the ones you don't want.

SR is a very small town. It's easy to get around by tuk-tuk, and most of the drivers know how to help you get what you want.

Good luck.

It has been almost two years since I was last in Siem Reap, but I paid $10 short time. If I remember correctly $5 was also available but I paid a bit more for some extras. There are several small brothels around town in the 'original' Kmer style - basically a shack. The only one for which I can remember a location was near the Golden Temple Villa - a cheesy tourist hotel in which I stayed for $15/night. This house was across the street on the way out, I think few hundred feet towards the main street.

Latest update: As the last intel was 2 years ago.
I just left SR and the Golden Temple Villa is all the way at the end of this little street. Along the way to the villa (to the right) there will be 3 "massage" places that opens almost all day and nite..(all 3 are bunch together--- If not sure which is the massage places that offer all options, just go after sunset (about 6pm) and these places all have this dim pink lighting to them. I walked in to all 3 places but the quality was either bad to just so-so and I passed on all 3 places. I did check on prices so Neg. prices can get massage + FS for about $15 and $10 for FS without the massage.

Note: the Khmer brothels across from the hotel/villa are no longer there. They have all become local stores for selling water/cigarettes or food places.
As I'm still in Cambo now, and dont really have the time to post reports, I will try to give more details when I return home and have more time to write.

I have read some discussion on which Martini was better, the one in PP or SR.
Since I just been to both, Here's My opinion (agree or not as its just my thoughts only),

The Martini in PP is much better.--IMO

1)Bigger place with much more to see and do
2)Many more and therefore better selection of FL (over half the gals at SR Martini had their boyfriends or friends with them)-more difficult to separate the players from the non-players. Most of the gals in PP were players.
3)Not as dark or loud as the one in SR--sometimes it was so pitch dark there I was stumbling over everyone's foot.
4)Prices for FL --they tend to ask much higher prices in SR (richer tourist visit I guess) and bigger hassle to talk prices down to earth.

Just a quick plug for the Golden Orange Hotel in SR. I stayed there for a couple of nights and really liked the place. The western owner takes care of the place like it should be taken care of. The staff is great and the place is new and clean. They have a nice outside bar and the neighborhood is safe.

Very good place to stay

Shamas, we think alike. I just logged in to mention the Golden Orange Hotel in Siam Reap. It's touted by the Flamingo Hotel in Phnom Penh, that's how I heard about it.

$20 + tax, for aircon, TV with good cable, fridge, brkfst, free pickup from the airport or bus station.

The owner, Doug is from San Francisco and Austin, Texas. He runs a tight ship. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a 15 minute walk north of the market and the nightlife area, but closer to Angkor Wat. I walked often, and took Tuk Tuks.

Doug couldn't have been more helpful to me. Answered every question and took me on his moto or in his car about 6 times to run errands, get money, but airline tickets, go looking for P4P or for dinner. He knows every place in town and is willing to share info.

The bar has a computer with 25,000 songs, so I spent a few nights sipping drinks with Doug, playing music and meeting some of the regulars at the bar. Several internet computers with Skype (allows international phone calls for very cheap-need to subscribe).

Favorite place for girls in Siam Reap was Blue Wave. Went there twice. Met a Kmer girl named Shwalee, or something like that. Said she was 27 with no kids, but I thought more like 22. Only 20 words of English, but a great attitude and sense of humor.

First time I took her home for the night, $25 fixed price to the bar, plus I gave her some taxi money. She was very happy.

Second time, I took her to the back room of Blue Wave. Pretty clean, shower, not bad at all, $15. It showed up on my bar tab: 2 Rum and Cokes = $5, Other = $15. Afterward, she fed me peanuts, snuggled, laughed, spoke in Kmer, and we enjoyed ourselves while we waited for Doug.

I'd recommend Hotel Golden Orange.

As for the temples of Angkor Wat. I've always wanted to see them, and I finally got my chance. I have to say that I've seen so many temples in the last 25 years, that I'm sort of templed out. I really wasn't that impressed. I'm only speaking for myself, but 4 hours was enough. Others that I talked to spent a full day or parts of 3 days.

Actually, one of the highlights of Siam Reap for me was the hot air balloon view of Angkor Wat and surroundings. It only costs $15. It's located between Ankgor Wat and the airport. You take a Tuk Tuk, he'll wait to take you back to Siam Reap, for about $3-5 round trip.

You don't have to enter the Temple Area ($20) to get to the hot air balloon. It doesn't float freely, it's always tethered to the ground. Total time 10 minutes to go up to almost 500 feet and a pretty good view of the temples about 2 miles away.

On to Laos. I know things will slow down there,

If you are near Pub st then its Located on a small st. to the north near the road to the airport. Better to take a motodop as its about a 15min walk in total darkness on some of the streets to get there.
The place is a little better than Martini (at least the one in SR). This is more a local's place so many Khmer here and didnt see any foreigners other than myself there. But friendly enough atmosphere so no need to worry here. The pick up of FL at Zone One was about same as SR's Martini--about half were there for your money and other half with friends on nite out or with boyfriends. Downside: the ones there for your money were not cute as compared to the unavailable ones--there were some stunners but all had Khmer boyfriends (or perhaps the Khmer boys hired these gals out). I say boys as they all look under 20 or less.
The only reasons its better here is that:
1) Its a much more fancier place than Martini
2) the music is not as loud here
3) better lighting--not as dark so easier to check the gals out
4)there seems to be about 5 gals (hostess) when you 1st enter the door--not 100% sure what the going rate was as the one time I visited here there were no Mama or Pappa around at the time to ask for pricing and policy details on the gals. (Tried speaking with the gals themselves but didnt know enough english to respond well).--like I said, more a local place. But from previous post--there maybe a bar fine involved along with the price for gal.--not 100% sure as no Mama to answer any of my questions at the time.

We think alike ? My god man get help, lots of help right now! Mix your medication with lots of booze and see if Dr. Phil can work you in. He's actually gay and quite kinky. Another story for another board.

Doug and the Golden Orange provide a nice oasis for our type of traveler.

Thanks,I popped in there 2 weeks ago about 8pm, had the place to myself and not one of the ladies there did anything for me, Maybe the good ones had yet to arrive or were busy in the st rooms already. The bar opens at 6pm.

little difficult to read on this map, might need to save it and then you can enlarge it.

but walking north on Sivatha blvd past dead fish tower ( where I was staying)
hang a left at achamean street. Landmark is the hotel de la paix a very fancy and impressive place from the outside anyway.

The bar is a few shops down on the left side. The bar is not noted on this map. I saw the add in the Siem Reap Angkor visitors guide, free copies in most hotels and resturants.

Gohan39, thanks. I wouldn't have been able to remember the location. I should also clarify, I only went to one other place looking for girls, Zannzybar. It was pretty dead.

So Blue Wave may not be the best, but it worked for me. I'm sure others are as good or better.

Pries being asked in SR are ridiculous,I was in le cyrcee in PP tonight and had the lovely girl in the room for 15 bucks all up and the koala bear tip.
Short timers from the walkabout and similar are stll 10 bucks.
I enjoyed zoneone in SR especially the beer girls but I always liked martini dancing better.
PP is great at the moment, many more girls than barang tourists.
Heart of darkness has some nice freelancers and the place just goes off all night....

I will be in Cambodia next week. Probably at the Ivy Guest House. Any knowledge out there about this place? Take home friendly? I am not a big time monger and prefer to have things come easy. Any of the massage places close to this guest house?

Anyone know the likelyhood of the staff calling in for an in room massage like some other hotels mentioned in this thread?

Thanks for any thoughts,

Wham.

I pass by Ivy GH when I was in SR recently (actually there are two places with this name) Ivy GH and Ivy-2 GH, both are near each other. Location is good as its near all the bars but didnt go inside to see any of the rooms so you need to find out when you arrive. Its only about a 10min walk across the bridge to Martini disco and the brothels about 300-400m further pass Martini. Negotiate hard as the take out prices at the brothels are quite high when you first ask. Martini FL are usually good to go all nite for $20.

Dear Bros,

I'll be in PP and SR for a holiday with my buddy. Are there any massage parlours or SPAs that is worth venturing that provide extra service? As for the WLs, are there Vietnamese or Chinese girls available. Where can they be found? Please recommend.

For SR, just read my 3 previous post below for a quick guide , post #120, 111 and 107
Remember this is SR and not that great a place for mongering compared to PP or Snooky or even Thailand--but great for ancient temples. It should be the main reason why you are going here.
Note: never came across any PRC gals in SR but some Viets and Khmer or mix of both available.

For PP--too much info to recommend, suggest you go to PP thread and check info there. Just remember to avoid St 63 brothels and you'll be fine.

I spent 5 days in Siam Reap and had a great time between the temples and the massage/brothel/bar scene. I agree with others that it is not the scene of the capitol but I found more than enough to do. Unfortunately, I lost the few notes I had and can't be more specific.

I stayed at the Mandalay Inn near the central market which was girl friendly for 20$ per night with a/see and hot water. The staff was extremely helpful. As a matter of fact, the wife of the owner was always around and at one point gave me directions to a few Viet brothels which were within a five minute walk of the hotel. While bouncing here babies on her knees. She was also helpful when a few of the more enthusiastic ladies showed up the next mornings. There was also a fish bowl disco/massage/restaurant place another 5 minutes away with an awesome selection of Khmer women. 30$ for an hour at the rather clean club or 40$ for an allnighter.

The most useful piece of information I have to share is the tuktuk or moto drivers. They are plentiful and won't leave you alone and all want to show you their places. Not unlike other places in Cambodia including Kampot and Battambang. I found the bar scene including Martini's, the fish bowl places and all the various Viet brothels around. I usually picked the driver with the best English and they always proved to be helpful. From the central market area, all the places were within 5 or 10 minutes and cost about a dollar at most to get to.

I actually preferred the Khmer women as I found the young, petite, pretty Viets to be rather cold fishes. The taxi drivers try and sell you the Viet scene because they get a small cut. Perhaps a dollar. Your mileage may vary of course but I really enjoyed the Khmer despite their lack of desire for oral sex. They loved getting it but would not reciprocate.

Shamas O'DognastyA newb here -- Shamas (or anyone who knows), is Golden Orange guest-friendly? I would surmise from your review that they are, but thought I'd check. Warm thanks.

Took a 6-hour bus tour from Pnom Penh to Siem Reap. Mekong tour charges $10 but Capitol Tour only charges $4. Mekong's buses have toilets whereas Capitol's do not. That means their buses dont have to stop every hour so some old ladies can water the weeds on the side of the road, and recharge their vibrators, etc... hehehe.

Sovann's brother Ek picked me up at the bus station, found me a nice hotel Ta Promm near the old market and Bars St for $35 a night, took me to a travel agent to book my flight and visas out of Siem Reap, all for $5. It was well worth it.

Hang around the market and Bars st. In the afternoon, a Korean dance group did a half-hour long traditional drum dance on the street. Very interesting. Went to the Temple restaurant for dinner when at 8PM they have Cambodian traditional dances which resemble Thai/Burmese dances with fancy costumes and lots of gestures. They also had a more authentic dance featuring the farmers and their girls in their basic daily routines, catching fish, romancing, and presumably fucking afterward.

The troop consists of very young boys and girls. Their dances were both happy and sad, and very rich. I was thinking, how had they gone through a genocide a generation ago when every 1 out of 4 was bludgeoned to death? Who would ever want to hurt this gentle people?

Knowing Asian cultures where artists are ruthlessly exploited and despised, I went back stage to meet the troop. There were about 20 of them crammed into the small filthy room back stage. The main 4 female dancers were very pretty and about 20 YO. The rest of the troops are dark, skinny young kids, some 8,9 YO, all do some support work and certain bit parts in dances. These kids are the children of the genocide survivors. I was moved by their circumstances, so on behalf of my mongering bros, I offered each one of them a donation, with a deep bow, wishing them happiness in this life and the other 7 lives in their religious belief. They all bowed back with appreciation. I hope I helped them a little bit to preserve whatever Cambodian culture and arts that are left after their horrific genocide.

Done with supporting the arts, immediately switched to supporting the raging libido. Walked outside, a motoman proposed girls for $30. I told him flat out that my rate is $20 or 8,000 Riel. He immediately agreed. He took me to a side street where there are a number of Vietnamese brothels. Dozen girls hang out in front of these houses, waiting for johns. Picked a very pretty Viet girl and rode back to the hotel. Had to pay the pimp upfront so this may be a servitude arrangement. She was very nice, sweet and sexy. Would do her again anytime.

The Angkor wats are some massive religious ruins in the middle of the jungle with thousands of tourists trampling through everyday. There are villages of Cambodian living around the ruins. Due to time constraints, I had to arrange a private driver through the hotel to take me to visit the ruins, costing $40. The hotel girls and Ek were saying it would be a lot of driving and the $40 is fair, but I think that may be high. It may be economical for 4 people sharinhg but not for a solo monger. There are other cheaper alternatives, including renting tuk tuk or your own motorbikes and do your own tour with a map. That may be the best way to explore the ruins since there are no convenient parking spaces for cars anywhere.

The Viet girls dominate the sex industry in Cambodia but I should have tried the Khmer girls, as they appear shier and more reserved. They were always smiling sweetly and avoiding eye contacts. The Viet girls were a lot more forward and communicative. I was flirting heavily with the Khmer desk girls at both Flamingo and Ta Promm hotels but were unable to get a kiss ans a squeeze out of them. They dont know what they are missing by avoiding the passionate sex artist who has been appreciated, and should have been well paid for, by women all over the world.

This small town and the ruins deserve longer vacations when everything can be more intimately explored...

$40 for the taxi for one person is a bit on the high side (normal should be about $25).
Note: you cant rent a motobike in SR as there is a law against non-residents renting. For single traveler, hire a motodriver for $7-8 a day is the way to go( unless its the rainy season when you might want some cover over your head).

I also went to the Temple rest. for the Apsara dancing less than a month ago and must have saw a different show. I didnt see any young kids in my show, only 4 ladies and 4 guys doing some dance (all about 19-25 y/o).
I never thought of going backstage to meet the people.
Nice touch giving some tips to the dancers.

Not much to SR as this is a small town and I went to the Angkor sites every day for 4 days and I was getting a little temple burnout, so 4 days should be the max here. (one day is not enough and 5 days is too much--IMO)

Thanks for the help from Phantomtiger2. I looked for the massage parlours on the street of the golden villa temple (hope I got that right). The street is just to the west of the market and the last street before hitting the bridge. I walked into the 1st one and the girls crowded around. Really not much there. I asked for the price of the massage and was told $3.00. Being the cheap bastard that I am I thought this sounded ok. Another young lady then appeared (I think her name was yan). She had average looks but seemed to have a sweet attitude. She took me up to the 2nd floor where there was a mattress on the floor. I asked her to put a towel over the sheet. This room was not what I would call squalid but the walls need painting very bad. However, there was no bad odor or smell. I got undressed and Yan immediately undressed as well. She had a little extra around her midriff, but other than that, nice titties with nice nipples and a good body overall.

Yan ended up giving me a great bbbj cim. She shined up the boys quite nicely with her tongue and was always in a good mood and smiling. So refreshing after being around American women with the chips on their shoulders. Afterward, Yan left but came back with clippers and gave me a very nice pedicure. I gave her a $20 tip and she seemed very pleased.

I was leaving the next day and instead of exploring more, I headed back to the same street for the day before. As I walked by, Yan came running over and through her arms around me and started kissing my chest and putting her head against my chest like a long lost lover. It was actually toughing. She was having breakfast with her little girl who started wailing because mom was leaving her for a few moments for a customer. Again, we went up stairs and I got a great massage, great sex and this time she left me for a moment and came back with the clippers once more and gave me a manicure. Talk about getting spoiled. Again, she is not a beauty, but it would not bother me to be seen with her anywhere else in the world....The prices in Cambodia are just unbelievable. In the hotel restaurant the entrees were typically $2.50.

I stayed at City River Hotel, sharing a room with friend so I had to find my entertainment outside. Besides, the hotel charged you 10 USD if you took massage from outside.

A moto driver volunteered to find me a place with girls; "you can have a beer and look at the girls and choose". He took me to a big karaoke place, something like "…. Town" (sorry, have lost my notes), way out on the road to the airport. True: about 30 nicely dressed-up girls sitting on benches in the lobby, one or two stunners. ST was 50 USD (I thought the moto has said 15!), so I left after one beer.

We rode on to Blue Wave, a pretty small bar with a handful of girls inside and only two customers. I sat down at the inner corner of the L-shaped bar and in an instant I had a girl on each side. Both talked a bit English and the one on the right looked quite OK, nice face and smile. They encouraged me to take both of them to the room, but I settled for the right one, a good choice. Not so young, but nice body, good service and very friendly. We stayed a full hour with two pops. Room was fairly clean, part of a regular hotel, I think. Damage 15 USD + tip and beer. Would do her again.

Tried Sok San Palace next evening. From the fish bowl the girls can certainly see you: Of maybe 30 girls in three rows one beauty caught my eye, and soon she looked me in the eye, smiled and pointed to her nose: I had a piece of plaster on my nose after a small accident. Massage was 10 and boom boom 30 extra, so I settled for only the massage with this particular girl. When you take only massage the girls leave the door open, I suppose so the customers can't do any extra without the knowledge of the boss. The girl seemed a little disappointed to do only massage, but she liked when I touched her, and when the session was finished she went into the corner which was not visible from the door (the room was L-shaped) and let me kiss her, and touch and kiss her tits. Nice surprise! Tip well earned.

But I wanted more, so when a moto asked if I wanted a girl I said OK. We rode to a couple of small brothels before I found one with acceptable girls. The mama-san kept urging "One hour good massage good boom boom". She said 30 USD, I said 15, she said 20 and I started to leave so she said OK OK.

A petite Vietnamese cutie took me to the room. No shower, only a foot toilet. The girl had a nice firm body with extremely firm small tits, a real delight to caress and kiss. But she had inverted nipples, and I could not get the nipples hard and erected, no matter how much I kissed and licked! Strange. As I had a one hour session I let the first pop be quick. The girl went to the door and talked for a while with the mama-san, and then she started to dress! We had only been 15 minutes of the hour! Of course I refused to pay 15 USD. I had an argument with the mama-san about it, said she had given less than half of the agreed time,15 min out of one hour. I put 7 dollars on the table and left. The mama-san came after me to the moto but I was firm. It was a pity, I would have liked a full hour with that girl, even if she talked no English.

For my last day in Siam Reap I moved to Golden Orange as recommended by forum members. From my room at 5th floor (no elevator!) I had a nice view of the back yards: two crocodile farms, see picture!

I had hired a tuktuk for the entire day (the temple thing), and in the evening I told him I wanted to find a pretty girl to take to the hotel. First he took me to a small brothel in an alley opposite Blue Wave. Nothing attractive. Next stop another brothel inside a gate on a street crossing the airport road. Maybe 20 girls but no stunner, and the papa-san wanted 30 for ST and 40 for "sleep". Further up the same street there was a place with a red lamp right on the pavement and a number of girls sitting outside. I sat down for a look; the mama-san agreed to 20 USD for "sleep" which I by now understood was same as LT. But all the girls were sulky, not one of the smiled at me or even looked at me, and I realised I would not have any fun with any of them.

Now the tuktuk had tried and failed three times so I decided to fall back on ISG reports: I told him to go to Zone One, which turned out be a bit down the same street.

A few cuties in the lobby, and as I approached the bar a passing by girl patted my belly, I grabbed her hand and said "see you later". But I had just filled my glass when a princess with a radiating smile walked towards me. I said "How are you"? And she replied "Twentyfyh". Oh-oh! I bought her a drink and asked if she wanted to come with me. She said OK. "Sleep?" She asked the bartender to write the figure 50 on a piece of paper. I wrote 20 but she did not understand. Finally we agreed on 30, danced a bit and off to the hotel. Now the second round of negotiation started. Her English was not so good and she could not read, so writing numbers on paper did not work. "Sleep" was for her actually sleeping, not an all-nighter; she had a baby to attend to at home so she could only stretch herself till midnight. She said "Massage, boom boom," I said "Boom boom, massage, boom boom", she said "Boom boom, sleep, boom boom". OK. She had such a pretty face and incredible soft silk hair, soft skin and … lactating tits.

When I penetrated her deep missionary, her legs on my shoulders, something happened and she cried out in pain. I am not that big so I have no idea what had happened. I gave her a painkiller and she fell asleep. She woke up after one hour, still in pain, and said with a very thin, soft voice "Lady go home". What could I do other than let the princess go? I paid her full and she said "See you tomorrow". I would have liked to, but I was going back to Phnom Penh in the morning.

If I ever come back to Siam Reap I'd go to Blue Wave and Zone One.

Barri,
If they say massage and boom boom for 1 hour just means you have a maximum of 1 hr to get one pop out. Once you pop-(regardless of how short a time), the session is over.
BTW: $7 for your one pop (without a massage) at a local brothel is fair price as the original $20 was way too much.

I had an argument with the mama-san about it, said she had given less than half of the agreed time,15 min out of one hour. I put 7 dollars on the table and left. The mama-san came after me to the moto but I was firm. It was a pity, I would have liked a full hour with that girl, even if she talked no English.
Well Barri, at least you still rank well behind Pol Pot, Ta Mok, and Dick Nixon in terms of your benevolence and generosity to the Cambodian people.

Barri

Barri,

If they say massage and boom boom for 1 hour just means you have a maximum of 1 hr to get one pop out. Once you pop-(regardless of how short a time), the session is over.

BTW: $7 for your one pop (without a massage) at a local brothel is fair price as the original $20 was way too much.

PTYes, Phantomtiger2, this is what it is in most places, but as I had had another experience more or less just round the corner, at Blue Wave, I assumed this was general in SR; I have found that there sometimes are town specific customs and rules. Also I mean I had verified with the mama-san: "One hour?", "One hour." Besides, like I said, the girls herself seemed to have been prepared to continue.

As for Member #2041's comment I don't get it. Never mind.

Phnom Penh,

About 6 weeks ago I was on an afternoon tour of the cambodian low-class places I think on the road to K-11. I didn't find anything worthy of going into one of those decrepit rooms for so we're leaving the area.

We drive by one place we we're at 10 minutes before and hear a glass break and lot's of yelling. I look over and see a cambodian guy with his hands covering his face. I don't know if he was hit in the face with a flying bottle or what.

My driver just keeps driving the moto and he say's to me, " Some guys, they don't like to pay after they finish with the lady. "

Wow! Scary is what that was, I never thought about these smiling people losing their cool like this. All I could think about that day was this guys hands holding his face (I didn't get a long enough look to see if any blood appeared as we were soon gone from the scene.)

My point is, keep this in the back of your mind next time you don't pay the agreed upon price. Yes I realise you felt they didn't keep up their end of the deal but they were arguing with you when you left so good thing no bottles went flying in your direction. Or worse (if you use your imagination.)

Glad you came out of this unscathed, thanks for the report.

As for Member #2041's comment I don't get it. Never mind.

OK, I'll explain it to you: I hope you feel good about shorting some poor working girl in the poorest country on earth $8 Which, to you, is nothing, but to her, is equivalent to several days wages in her world. Keep in mind that it was the Mama-san who you negotiated with, but the actual girl (who, as you well know, speaks no English, and has no clue what the Mama-san and you talked about) is who you shafted for $8.

As for Pol Pot, Ta Mok, and Dick Nixon, well, their crimes against the Cambodian citizenry were all substantially worse than yours - so you can take some measure of comfort in that - maybe even enough to sleep at night, knowing that they've already lived through much worse.

And BTW, while $5-10 may be a reasonable price in Phnom Penh, the prices in Siem Reap are higher - $15 to $20 being the going rate for 1 pop.

Barri

... $8 Which, to you, is nothing, but to her, is equivalent to several days wages in her world...
...As for Pol Pot, Ta Mok, and Dick Nixon...Actually it would not have been several days but another 45 minutes, which was my point.

And you are seriously putting this "crime" on the same scale as the torture and killing of 1.7 (some say 3) million people? I wonder what the survivors would feel about this.

Maybe you can sleep well at night if I comfort you by saying that when the service is as agreed I tip good, directly to the girl. Anyway, I like that there is someone to defend the rights of the girls.

No, as I noted, Pol Pot, Ta Mok, and Dick Nixon's transgressions were all substantially worse than yours. My point was, you were, in an extremely petty way, simply abusing folks who already were among the most abused people on earth, and I hoped you felt good about it. And secondly, that the person you effectively punished was NOT the person who had actually "agreed" to your perception of the terms of service. But cheer up - you are $8 richer for it, and this poor girl only probably lost a couple of days pay in the process. Congratulations on your windfall at her expense.

I found quite a few farangs riding around the ruins in motorbikes.

This can be a very pleasant way to visit the ruins unless it rains. Also the roads are narrow. You just have to yield to the cars and buses.

Non resident=Tourist or people not living in SR.
Moto rental rules for SR applies to Non-residents only -(both farang or asian). Rules dont apply for farangs living/ working in SR--I heard even they are stopped once in awhile to show proof as cops not sure of their status. They can rent or own and ride anywhere they want as they are almost considered locals.

Also, this rule dont apply to the newer electric motobikes thats being rented in SR (only the faster more powerful gas powered ones). Remember, if you are caught riding a regular moto, be prepared for a stiff fine.

Went to Blue Zone, must have been late (2 am?), and I was feeling pretty tired. The girls there weren't up to much except for one who was fawning over some Belgian dude so I got some tips on where else I could go, finished my beer and left.
Got a tuktuk to a nightclub that's close to Blue Wave: out the door turn left and then it's just down one of the right turns. Place is couple of hundred metres down the road. Got there and the place is closing - everyone's coming out. Luckily the motorbike driver says he knows some place so we head off.

Directions from Blue Wave are: out the door head left for aboout 200M and turn right by Jasmine Anchor restaurant (very bright lights). After about 100m on the lefthandside there is what appears to be a small shop selling drinks etc. At nearly 3 am however, there were several women standing outside. It was quite dark so difficult to tell how attractive they were. Cost USD20 but think that the moto driver got quite a cut. Place was pretty dirty and the girl had a scowl on her face the entire time so came out feeling pretty dissatisfied.

The moto driver asked me where I wanted to go and I said back to Blue Wave however it was closed by the time we got back! Luckily enough I noticed a massage sign just near to Blue Wave so we drove down to take a look. Lo and behold there are a couple of girls all wearing miniskirts and the like. Quick bit of bargaining whilst eyeing them up and it costs USD 10 for one pop. She was much more into it than the first one and so I got going pretty quickly. Wasn't bad except for the moment when they shouted from outside to wonder why I hadn't finished yet! Much better than the first time so got moto back to hotel.

Address: If you're out the front of Blue Wave, massage sign is about 50m to your left on the opposite side of the road. You go down some kind of driveway and there's a sort of verandah on the righthand side.

Dont remember any place called Blue Zone when I was at SR, where was this place located?

And yes, anywhere in Cambo the motodrivers always get a "cut" and added to your cost, but not always a bad thing as I consider it a finders fee for showing me places I otherwise might not find on my own.

PTActually, I think it was called Blue Wave! I did a quick google search of "Blue Wave" + "Siem Reap":

Also found this one!

I am not sure that the address in the Yellow Pages is correct, but it is more or less round the corner from Blue Wave.

Not exactly round the corner but close enough to each other.
Finding an Address means almost nothing in SR as all those smaller side streets dont even have Street signs or names to them for anyone looking for them (but this seems to be common all over Cambo--except for PP).

I'll be in SR on 9 March. I wanted to stay at Mandalay Inn. They quoted 15$ one Single. Does it mean that I have to pay to bring girls in? From your reports I understood it was GF.

Any other GF hotel about 20$ in the center zone?

Nope, GF means just that=no extra fee to bring guest back to room. Only thing is make sure bed is big enough to support 2 people as sometimes paying for a single bed means just that, you'll get a small "single" bed only.

Thanks for Phantomtiger2 and others for helpful hints. Here are my experiences (reported prices are just examples, you can try to bargain more):

First it seems that the prices in Siem Reap are quite reasonable. Price quotes might be high, but once they realize that you know the prices, prices will come down quickly. Here are some examples:

"Massage" places near Golden temple villa: there are three places providing sex, easily noticable from pink lights. If you don't see any cute girls from outside, you can still come in and ask to see more girls. Asking price for boom boom was $15 but they quickly settled for $10.

Taphul road: there are at least two places here. They are located one the left side of the road just before "Smileys guesthouse" if coming from Siem Reap. These places are also noticable from pink lights although they aren't directly visible to the outside (however, there are some girls standing on the street). Paid $7 (initial asking price was $10), the "room" was very basic, this it makes sense to bring a girl to the hotel :) Later I visited the other place, didn't find anybody cute, but girls offered boom boom for $5, thus I guess that the actual going rate is even below $5. Better start bargaining from $3 in these places :)

Sok San massage: fixed price for the massage is $5, FS is negotiable with the girl. I didn't take massage here, but I would guess that the $10 will be enough for the girl (total cost: $15). LT is $30.

I was a bit dissapointed by those massage places on the other side of the river. I noticed only four of them, the amount and the quality of girls was not very high and the prices were higher than reported here (maybe because of the high season?). Here are some pricing information:

Bophea quoted $35 for ST, LOL and the girls did not look anything special
Madonna: $40 for LT

Doremi (the first one after crossing the river) had more reasonable prices: after some bargaining was offered LT for $25

About Mandalay Inn: if you have a single occupancy then the joiner fee is $5. Thus it's makes sense to book a single, unless you will be bringing a girl every night in a room.

Glad I could be helpful and most importantly, you had a good time.
I've posted in the past that although the local prices are much less ($2-3 thats what the locals pay), we outsiders cant really get that. I guess its a unwritten rule among themselves. They rather give up your business then settle on giving us local rates (believe me, I tried).
But for $2 more, its really not worth the time arguing over anyway. Unless you look like a movie star and would've gotten it for free anyway then starting the negotiation at $5 is the norm. in SR (Note: you may get lower prices in some backwood places in Cambo, but NOT in SR) .So stay loose and have a good time.
Keep your good reports cumming--reminds me of being there myself.

Cheers

The Golden Temple Villa is at the very end of the street where I posted the 3 massage joints that offer FS. I only past by the hotel but never stayed there so I cant guarantee if its GF. But since most places (although not all) are usually GF, the odds should be in your favor.

Also, I've only seen them only at night as during the daytime I was busy touring Angkor sites.

Upside of Mandalay is the better location (right near Pub street and all the bars) and (only from what I read) this is GF place if you book a double.

Golden Villa is at the very end of a small street so away from the action (bars) but still within walking distance. (but unsure if it's GF).

Hope this helps.

I arrive here yesterday by 2 bus transfer in PP from Sihanoukville. Price of bus good but ride 2-2 long. Waste all day sitting on short seat. Dunn think I could move out of chair when arrive. I feel like frozen ice.

Touts everywhere when exit bus, all over my face and try to pull luggage away to his transport. I tell him hand off but dunn listen, only sez to me where I going. I tell him like to try Dead fish place but dunn understand me or no commission from there for him. He drop me bags and try another sucker gettin off bus. I find differ. Motoguy and he take me to Deadfish in town. Bus stop here is middle nowhere and far from town as ride took over 10min.

Deadfish-Funny place, not a real hotel but more a bar with a kitchen and some rooms. Live band playin when I go there. Drop off bags and walk around bit. Place not big and many eating place outside Deadfish. Order din-din at one chinese looking place. Food ok not great, small plates, 3 beers later I full though. Paid $7 dindin and 3 beers

So back inside my room to shower but no hot water. Go down and she tell me hot water extra $1. OK spend extra dollar worth the price. I find this normal in Khmerland must pay extra for everything or you get nuttin. Flamingo hotel good in PP cause one price pays all-no hassle.

I now call this place Siem Rape and not Siem Reap cause they try to rape you for everthing. Everything higher price here. Also told me can't rent me own moto cause some stupid rule to make motodopes rich here. Khmer mafia raping me some more. No choice so talk to many outside for trip into temples of AngWat for 2-3 days. Dunn commit total days cause may leave early if dunn like.

Motodriver sez $15 a day to rent his service? I sez no way cause my mate Phantomtiger sez for just me should be no more then 7-8 all day service. I sez you no go then I point to another motodope. He then sez ok to $7 all day till 7am-7pm then after will be extra. Surprise the bastard english very good when he talk money (again Siem Rape in function). He ask me nite early want lady? More raping by moto on me but no choice cause dunn know area. I tell dope want boom boom now. He drive me only 5 min in front of little wood shack. Only 4 there but 1 catch me eyes. Decent body and face. I ask mama sittin in front and sez to me $20.1hr. I say too much and look at my moto dope cause I know he maybe get half. I say will go to $10 only and sit on moto ready to wave and go. Mama sez ok $10 but only 35min. I sez agree cause 35min all time I want in little dark wood shack anyhow.

Short Viet girl no more than 5 feet. Cute face=6. 5, ok body with no fat=7, small titties but big nipples--I like to suck on them now with pants not off me yet. She cover tits and not let touch. No touch bottom. No BJ.

Want me to wash with bucket of cold water. Shit mates, just took nice hot shower, dunn need cold bucket of shitty water on me clean body. She lie there and open leg and dunn do anything more. She cover her bottom with both hands when I look there? I push hands away and put dick in her. Dry dry--hard to get inside. I try put some spit on me rubber and she move away in shock. Dunn let me wet rubber touch her. She rip rubber off me quick---ouch!

Put new one on me and try to slip me inside her. Hard time and no good feelin-- she 2 dry. Start to hurt me too.

I reach and found a small lube packet I carry round. I show her, but she dunn understand. I open pack and pour on me hands and have her feel it. She understand now. Rub some on me shaft and now much better feel for 2 of us.

Finish in 10 more min and put on clothes. She have hand out but I dunn tip her for such bad service. She sez something to me on way out. (maybe cheap in khmer but dunn care) and pay mamasan outside.

Moto drop me off in hotel and I order another beer and listen to the band play. Moto dope sez pick up in morning for 7am. I finish beer and go upstairs to bed (after washing me shaft clean 1st).

Tomorrow another day in Siem Rape.

Pirate1 out for now

Well, considering what we in the West have visited on Cambodia just a few decades ago, I really do not begrudge them charging us round-eyes double or triple the pitifully small going rate for locals on just about everything, so that they can maybe afford to build themselves some houses with actual roofs on them, perhaps a school that all the children can go to, and maybe even pay for a modicum of basic medical care as well.

I genuinely believe that in the grand scheme of things, in all of the interactions between Western civilization and the Khmer civilization of Cambodia over the past 50 years, we are most assuredly not the ones who have been raped.

If you consider paying a hooker $20 for all night, or $10 for ST to be exorbitant, or $1 for a tuk tuk ride when the locals pay 1000 riel, I think you might consider that we gave them all of our land mines and napalm shells without charging them anything for them, and out of our generosity, we never took back the undetonated ones that we left behind.

Not to disagree. Me not think 10-20$ too much to handle, itz the way they try to squeeze me that I feel almost violated -not physical but more mental rape ,itz draining when all I need drain is me dick.
Build school and everythin fall on the corrupt man in govt. and seen where all money go not to school /hospital but in pocket. I see many govt man live in mansion in PP and ride big ass lexus while me counterpart simple man drive bicycle. No problem if local man make out good but my complain they overuse and overdo it to me. Once while ok but never ending when I in S. Raped.-my opinions mostly.
Also most of all them mines from them Aholes of not me friends of Pol Pot and them VietG when they war--so local affairs mainly. Also, we of west now only ones helping to find them minies so they can better them asses.

But me cheapie in general but not 2 cheap to help some local blokes out when I there and those who dunn bother ask me (rape me) get more from me.

Before me next report, 1st the important stuff. Had me usual Angkor beer with lunch. Itz good for the price-real beer flavor. Forget them Crown beer they sell us, taste like a cheap water down Bud lite back home. Ah, having me one Angkor now as me type away in Khmerland computer. 2 bad no can find this at home.

Rise in morning bitchin. Already 10am, shittin mates just shittin. No set alarm and now late. Checkin if me motoguide outside. Dunn know why zee bastard dunn come in and wake me ass up at 7 like he said yesterday. Ok, no shower get me pants on and leave. Moto dope outside smilin--bastard! I ask him and tell me dunn want to disturb me, mates- do I sound disturb now to yous?

Anyhows, get on his moto and out we goes.
Stop at Angkor station gate with many tourist waitin on 3 lines all for permits into the Angkor zoo. Never seen these many buses since the last hurricane evac. All the 45min waiting in the f*king sun and still wanna rape me for $40 permit fee--more disturbant in me head--need an Angkor beer to cool down, f*k me own no beer in morning rule, needs it now.
Forget them rules need passport photo for permit to temples. They take your ass photo while U wait for free. No wrong, not free, we pay good sum to get in.
Almost noon sun now before I reach gate into Angkor Watz(East/west/Nor/South) gate?--who cares, I is here at last.
Nice big ass rock building. So glad Cambo not really in earthquake zone or me ass could be buried here under a big pile.
Not to go into them details as many will say a rock is a rock. Well worth the kings ransom to get in though. I's surprise them letz people touch everything here. Not like many other place in world where always no touchie or kick me ass out and no refund for doing so.
Must come here if yous get the chance for an excape.
Just to remind you nuts to not make me same mistake. Dunn drink 2 much before climb steps up Angkor Wats, all them steps are f*king high and steep on zee way down, easy kill self this way. Or simple push of wifey on vacation accident and no needz for quickie divorce settlements.
Anywayz finish zee 1st day tour and back to hotel by 6pm. Wantz to go up mountain for sunst but zee bastard moto dope has promise to f**k his girl by 630. No matter, tommorow I's back in Angkor so no rush. Bastard promise to wake me ass up at 7 am if me not out by then.

Just want all to know them have several local blokes sittin by the road near entrance to several temples. They are all mine victims some no hands some no legs. But they all try to smile and sez hello and greet you nicely. They sometime play music. All are friendly bunch. They not like beggers after your ass with bucket for money, no pressure mates from them as they dunn ask for anything but a hello in return.
Here is 1st time I dunn feel raped in Siem Rape. Like me philosohy, dunn rape me or pressure me and you shall receive more in return.
I always put a few bucks in them baskets and I go wayz similing know they have food for him and family at least for few days. Happy me and happy them. Be generous to these as them victims are true victims and all Khmers look down on them but they still keep friendly and hopeful with contrubute music.

Part2-zee sex.
Wash me body and ass and go for dindin. SR good for 1 thing, many decent place to stuff face. Even see pizza joints but me try some local shit tonite. Ask waitress to order some for me let her choose. Out comes this dry deadfish (no, not me place of stay) but real deadfish, skinny one 2.
Come outs with rice and veggie and some shit in soup I dunn know what it is.
Everythin ok except the skinny dead fish. 2 much salt and 2 fishy stale taste to it--dunn like but waitress sez its local delight--no wonders they all so skinny.
Ok order 2 cans of Angkor at same time to wash me mouth.
Finish and walk out. Not 2 full but ok to keep me alive tills tomorrow.

Nun far so walk to Martini across bridge. Not happenen yet as early. Only me and nother 2 mates to whole place. Walk out and decide to check out place Phantomtiger sez on Pub st wheres me can see some custom dance.
I watch show. Itz nice but 2 slow for me, everyone movin in slow mo. More balance act on one foot than dancing.

Finish and go to bar on Pub st--dunn remember name but too many bars on these st. Order another beer and pass time chattin with another mate from Asia. I thinks he from Jap. English piss porr but he happy chap. They all seem happy when away from the women folk. Hmm-same for me so dunn blame them. We chat to time up and I invite him to join me in Martini. He never heard but sez ok. Not far walk-5min and we there.
Now martini place music thumping and disco lits going. More suckers arrive every 15min. Jap mate order and treat me to beer. We toast to freedom away from women folk bondage at home. We both have nite vision on to hunt for pussy in the dark. Vision dunn work as 2 dark here, hard to make out bloke from preys. Me jap mate sees his prey and point her. I's go over and try talk but she no understand me or mye jap mate. I's decide to use universe sign of circle push in by finger. She smiles and understand. Yup, although the US and western world not exactly blameless here as they contributed to some of the landmine issue in Cambo. they were not the main culprits.
I visited the landmine museum when I was in SR and was informed the vast majority of landmines were the types made by the former Commie Eastern Block countries and China. I also read all this somewhere from some articles.
And you are correct that although the West didn't put most of the mines there it is they who are at least trying to help.

I had a good time reading this as your writing style continues to add to the fun. It's wacky but yet easy to interpret.

I agree with helping out those poor souls with obvious talent but unfortunate victims of mines. I always said hello to them with a smile and left a few dollars also when I can, glad you did the same.

How many friends have you made on this trip already? Seems you are a popular guy everywhere you go. Got to admire your openness and generosity.

Later and keep it up.

Seriously, you are indeed correct as I write my reports in as you called it "a wacky style" just because I feel it's more my own style and my personal amusement. Trust me when I tell you all that it actual takes me much longer to write a report that way as I have to stop and think of spelling these words that could be understood by all. But on the other hand, sometimes I do talk that way when I'm around close friends so why not write that way and have some fun while I'm doing so. Again, I can probably write in English with the best of you ,but then I'll be no different than the rest of you on this great forum.----In my own opinions.

Someone knows how is GoldenTempleVilla (that is also near some massage places I understand) and if it's GF?I just noticed this question. My post may be too late for you, but I put it in anyway.

I was at the Golden temple Villa a year ago. Do not know if it is girl friendly or not because I was there with my wife. However, I seem to remember seeing some local looking gals around. The place is nice, friendly and very clean. The rooms are rather small but functional and comfortable. The beds are excellent. The restaurant is also pretty good. What I also liked about the place was that it is well located, close to the center (where I saw several massage parlors) and yet very quiet. Several of the other places I considered are located on noisy streets.

I hope this helps someone.

Hi !

I lived at the Golden Orange Hotel last week , it is very good for 20 USD/night
The owner was sitting in the bar with the guests drinking beer with them !
he is from the US.
I can recommend the bar Blue wave, the girls there are really nice, they have rooms in the back area of the bar, 20USD for girl and room for one hour.
they open around 6pm.

After having a couple of usual massages, I was looking for something special that would stick in my mind like the Angkor Wat.

I was taken to a place called the Birdy Massage situated in a lane off Sivatha Road. What struck me immediately was the freshness of the 3 very young girls who were there. Opted for an oil massage for US$ 10 and we went upstairs with one of the beauties. Her name way Ary, and said she was 18.

I declined to wear the short that was offered, and lay naked whilst she game me an excellent massage. She seemed oblivious to the fact that my rod was at 90 degrees and begging for attention.

During the last quarter of the one hour massage I drew her attention to my member and wanted her to touch it. She flatly refused and also pretended not to hear my offer of US$ 50. Duly finished the massage and left, leaving me in a pitiful state.

Have any of you mongers been lucky in getting some extras from the girls at this place.

Went to blue wave, quite early, about 9pm. Only me alone in the pub. Looks a little bit scary, so I went off.

Went to Martini, much bigger club. Better settings & environment.
Chatted with one lady. Local Khmer girl. Quite pretty. About 160cm.
Ask her back to hotel for ST. She consulted her MUMMY & ask for 40 USD.
I said no, because is too expensive.
She asked for 35 USD.
I said no again. She just sit quiet beside me.
Then I asked her "sincerely" again for 30 USD.
She consulted her MUMMY & finally agreed with this.

Brought her back to the hotel. I took a shower, then her turn.
Came out with tower wrapping her body.
Have to spend some time to remove the tower.

And I was shocked with what I saw, this lady has the most tidy nipple which I ever seen. I was so happy. I know she is still as blank as a white paper.
Kiss her, but she did not kiss back. Ask her why, she said she did not know.
Is ok, as long as I know :)
Kissing her neck, ear, breast, nipple & so on.
When I touched her pussy, I was shocked again.
Is so watery......you got to trust me, this girl is all wet before I play her pussy. Wanna try DATY but she refused. She said this is not good to me...huh ??? Didn't ask her to blow me as I think she will take time to learn.
Put on a condom & start working. She response well & keeping saying that I am good, huh ??? This make me feel great.
Continue working till she come.

Conclusion: 9 / 10

And she told me she is coming to my country by end of this year.
Looking forward to make love with her again. Will update ! :)

First night in SR and I wasn't too sure of where to go to find girls but every motobike rider is more than eager to take you to one, as they get a commission. You really don't have much choice as most are inaccessible by foot at night because many streets are pitch black due to insufficient street lighting. The motobike guy took me to Ly Ly Massage, which was previously called Hollywood Massage.

Once the motobike guy indentified himself to the owners he and I walked into a two storey house. As soon as you walk in on the right are the girls sitting a 'fishbowl', there were about 20 girls. The girls were almost 10 metres away and the fishbowl was lit up by pink lighting, so it was a little difficult to clearly see the girls. There were about 8 other guys there with their drivers but they were all just waiting and starring into the fishbowl. This is the first time I have chosen a girl like this and found the situation a bit awkward as the girls can clearly see you and they sat me closest to the fishbowl.

When I first sat down number 39 had caught my eye but I did not select her straight away. Being my first time in this type of establishment I decided to sit for a while and take my time. I looked at each of the girls in turn but still decided number 39 was still the one. She was not stunning, and was dressed conservatively (in a blouse and 3/4 length jeans, most other girls were in dresses) but I knew I would get on well with her. I told my driver to select number 39 for me, which he got up and went to the counter and did so. Number 39 was told to come out of the fishbowl and she looked happy to be selected.

When she saw me she gave me a kiss on the cheek and held my arm, very GFE. I told the driver before I got on the bike that the price would be US$25 for ST, which he said OK after a bit of whinning. When I went to the counter to pay they wanted US$40, I told them the agreed price was US$25 and they said OK without protest. My driver said he would wait outside for me. I was led to a room with number 39 hanging tightly to my arm. The room was just large enough for the double bed with a separate small shower. However some of the walls had brown marks, did not want to contemplate where they came from, and the bed looked "used". After 5 seconds in the room I asked number 39 if she would like to come back to my hotel instead, she gladly said yes. So I asked one of the young owners to come back in and I enquired how much for LT and he said US$60. I said no way and offered US$40, we ultimately agreed on US$45 and we quickly left the establishment.

When the motobike arrived at the hotel I told the driver to come back at 9am to pick up the girl. The hotel I stayed at was called City River Hotel and their notices clearly state a US$10 fee for extra guests. They get the girl's name and contact details before letting them it. When I walked into the lobby I then realised that number 39 looked extremely young. She was under 150cms and had a small frame. She could probably pass for 14 years old. I prefer girls around 20 years old and I chose number 39 because I thought she looked decent and mature. To make matters worse, it was 10pm and a small group of japanese tourist was in the process of checking in. On most tourist maps there is a warning and picture of the guy holding a little girl by the hand leading her to a hotel room clearly stating that it is a serious offence to have sex with a minor, I kept thinking of this whilst standing at the reception area. I quickly gave US$10 cash to the reception but they took forever to get the girl's details.

She could speak a little english and as we had the whole night I thought we should spend a little time talking first. Her name was Tu and she was clearly a fairly intelligent girl and told me she did this to bring in money for her family. After about 20 minutes she asked me go into the shower and she would wash me. I suggested we take a bath together instead, it was fun and allowed us to talk a bit more. After the wash, we sat on the bed hugging and kissing. She told me to lie down and started to give me a great BBBJ which lasted about 10 minutes. I asked if she like DATY but she said no, instead I rubbed her clit until she came. She slipped the condom on me and after various positions I came after 20 minutes. We each took a shower and then sat on the bed her head resting on my shoulders. At about 1am we both climbed under the sheets to sleep. I find it hard to get a good sleep with somebody sleeping next to me and I woke up a few times during the night. Each time she was quitely asleep and I just looked at her and I thought how lucky I was to have chosen her and how unfortunate it was for such a young beautiful and bright girl to have to do this everyday to help her parents with money. In the morning she knew the pickup time was 9am so she woke up at about 7am to take a shower. She then proceeded to give me a fantastic BBBJ which lasted about 20 minutes. She wanted me to CIM but the little guy just did not want to. So we popped on the condom and I finished 10 minutes later. I walked her downstairs and the motorbike guy from last night was waiting. She kissed me and got on the bike.

On the last night in Siem Reap a guy (named Nara Kim) working at the hotel I was staying at, City River Hotel, asked me if I was interested in finding a girl for the night. I said yes and asked him why he did not ask me this earlier during my stay as he clearly saw me bring a girl back nearly every night. He said that it was very rare for him to offer his service to any guest because he wanted to be sure I would say yes before asking. His english was excellent and as I later found out he was very persuasive in his native language as well. He said he would take me around to a few local spots until I found someone I liked. I told him where I had already visited and we agreed that he would help me find a girl who was young and did not work in the sex industry.

We went to a few nightclubs but I did not find anyone appealing. We then found a bunch of girls who were talking just to the side of the nightclub. They said they worked in the karaoke behind the nightclub. Of the 4 girls one looked pretty good and fresh. I told Nara and he spoke to her for 10 mins about what I was after and convinced the girl to come have a drink and small meal with me. When we were sitting in the tuk tuk it was clear that she was very nervous. He said that for Cambodian girls, having a meal with a guy was usually the first step with being with a guy. The meal was at a local restaurant and was really cheap. After the meal the girl was still undecided if she still wanted to go ahead with it but after a few reassuring words from Nara she said yes. She agreed because she needed the money. I was told that it was only the 2nd time she has been with a guy.

At my hotel room she was so nervous she was shaking. It was unlike being with the other girls who worked in the industry as she did not initiate any sexual advances. I had to start very slowly and finally convinced her to kiss then finally removed her clothes. It was like being with a virgin and she was quite tight when I penetrated her. When we had finished I wasn't sure how much I was to pay her. So after cleaning up we went downstairs and I asked him how much. He said that the exact amount had not been agreed and it was up to me. I gave her US$50 and she seemed to be OK with that. I also gave my guy $10 for his help in landing a local girl, transport and advice.

If anyone is interested in contacting Nara, he is more than happy to take you around and help you find a suitable girl, his email is [Email address deleted by Admin]

About a year ago I was at this place, then it was called Hollywood.
After crossing the bridge is the last place on the right side. Before reaching
Hollywood there is another house with big parking lot, I saw around one hundred cute girls. I took a girl from this house and from Hollywood. I paid
$ 20 each time for all night. Sure, they will ask for $ 60 or $ 40, just walk
away, the price will come down fast!

Duh, no kidding that she was OK getting $50 for her share after you bought her dinner. I never heard of anyone who paid $60 plus dinner for ST sex in Cambodia. Even for an inexperienced non-pro. You're paying at least 3X the going rate, maybe 5-6X.

new snooky scam - to rent a moto, you need to have a cambo driver license - how does one get it? Easy - just hand over $30. You could get a DOG a license for $30 (no ID, no questions, just $30) - BTW - it's good for renting in SiemRiep as well

Depends on how far you plan to walk but in general, most of the interesting places are within walking distance (max=30min walk). But motos are so cheap it is not often that people walk alot.
Yes, all drivers get commission for bringing you to places for mongering and yes, walking around SR is safe (day or night). it is perhaps the safest place in Cambo.

Planning my first trip to Cambodia and want to stay in a mid price hotel. Anyone know anything of the Steung Siem Reap Hotel? Tripadvisor says "No hotel can beat its location. We went around town several times and there is no hotel more central than Steung (pronounced Steng). Just a block away from Bar St. No need for tuktuks to go to town for dinner or shopping at the old market.. We were right in the middle of all activities. It is a good 3 or 4 star hotel. We paid $70 a night (booked on line) and it included free breakfast. It served Cambodian and western food. They picked us up from the airport free of charge and served us cold fruit drinks upon our arrival. The room was very, very clean and modern. There was hot water all throughout the day."

Also wondering about the Bopha Angkor Hotel which has good reviews. On future visits I'd probably be more open to the $20/night places, but tend to be cautious when exploring new territory. Comments? Most of the past posts focus on the value places which are not as centrally located. Thanks.

Completed trip to SR a few months ago. Previous posting suggested the Golden Orange Hotel. Could not have been a better choice. Owner Doug is American. Room was around $20 per night with breakfast included. The entire staff could not have been any hospitiable. Take advantage of free pickup by tuktuk supplied by hotel. We ended up using the same driver the entire time we were there. If you are tired of all the fast pace of Thailand be sure to try SR. Previous posts will fill you in as to where to go. Doug the owner will be more than happy to make suggestions. They have a small bar downstairs which is well worth visiting after going around town for day and before heading out for night. The tuktuk driver, I believe it was Sam, will be more than happy to be available around your schedule. Be sure to treat him nice he is married with several children. He was always available no matter how early or late we wanted him. We usually paid him $12 for being around all day in case we wanted to go somewhere and $5 to take us around at night. He knows all the spots and speaks fair English. Enjoyed it so much plan on going back again later this year for an extended visit. Say hello to Doug the owner from Bob and Doug. If you stay there you will not regret your choice. My thanks to the older posting suggesting the place.

It is a little while since I have been up to Siem Reap but I think I know why your TukTuk was always around. $17 a day sounds like a lot og guaranteed income for him and he probably didn't want anyone else to cash in.

As I say, it has been a while since I was in Siem Reap, but circa $500 a month sounds like way above the average wage.

Anyone else any thoughts on standard rate for having TukTuk on call, whether you use them or not? I think I would take my chances on finding TukTuk when I wanted one and so not pay a retainer. Am I a cheap charlie?

Hi there. I have also posted on the PP board recently. Basically, I am visiting Cambodia for the 1st time in Sept. I have already booked a room at Mandalay Inn so thanks for the advice on that.

However, I had a few queries regarding the scene in SR. Firstly, with it being the rainy season, how does this affect the girl situation here? Also, I had heard that $10 girls were the norm here, but it seems this may not be the case? Is SR more expensive than PP in this respect? I will be looking for slightly more mature women to take back to the hotel ideally. Any tips on that would be useful.

Cheers,

Rainy season=not so many tourists=good times for less money.SR appears to be more expensive than PP due to the numbers of tourists.Phantom tiger is the full bottle on SR,check his reports in the archives.
All I know is that I was there last june and I had a great time at the bar street and later on at martini dancing and the khmer disco whose name I can't remember-zone 1 thats it.
I found a lovely cham girl at martinis who was overjoyed with $20 all night and i got so pissed at zone 1 that the moto and the hotel guy had to put me to bed,I couldn't remember a thing the next day.
Thats what i call a good night.

Prince Harry is correct. In general, prices are higher all across the board in SR because of 1)supply / demand ( much less supply of gals in SR in the business) and 2) more higher class tourist on more expensive tour packages visit SR willing to fork over larger sums of cash.
In SR, $10 is not the norm unless you find a back alley brothel in a wooden shack full of mosquitos, then it's about 7-$10 for the foreigner.
Most gals in SR are generally in the younger class and not the more older mature type in SR. You can still find the mature ones at Martini club (across the river from Pub st) need not worry as most of the younger ones are usually picked up 1st so the mature ones are left for later, or go to the 2-3 MPs just west of pub st on a small street (about 100 yards/meters) before you reach the Temple Villa hotel. Your location at Mandalay is very close to these MPs. I believe more detail directions are all in my past post on these MPs.
Also, there are about 2 more places full of ladies on the same road just past Martinis but they will try to milk you with starting prices of $60-70/nite for the gal, so much cheaper and easier for pick up at Martini. Enjoy and report back with your experiences.

When I was in SR I noticed there were not a lot of older people. Made a comment to Doug at Orange. He told me (if I remember it correctly) that 52% of the population of SR is female between ages of 18-21. For some reason after the war there was an unusual larger number of women born. Most can not stand Cambodian man-they are either gay or treat them like second class citizens. They like the treatment they receive from Europeans. I am 57 and so so looking. I personally found even the women I meet around town to be very nice. Let's try not to ruin the scene by taking advantage of the situation with bad Karma. THe last thing we need is need is another country where every bar you walk by has girls yelling out at you "grandpa" wanting them to buy you drinks. I personally plan on going back to Cambodian in November for a 2-3 month visit (will also be visiting Viet Nam).

If anyone has any good info on life in Snooky I would love to hear from you

Donny,

I stayed at Mandalay Inn last November and it is a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful and I brought in a few young ladies in and it isn't an issue. As a matter of fact, the wife of the owner who is around most of the day gave me directions to the local Viet brothels which were right around the corner. As stated by the other guys, you are central to the town and close to everything.

There was a fishbowl place right around the corner from Mandalay where I pulled a few girls out. If my memory serves me correct, it was 30$ for the whole night and there was quite a nice selection. I reported on this last November/December and has been suggested before there are quite a few reports prior to that.

If you need more info, you can always rely on the the wife of the owner who was bouncing two babies on her lap as she gave me info on the brothels.

I arrived from Phnom Penh June 23 after 6. 5 hours on an air conditioned? Bus. We did stop twice to cool the engine by throwing 5 gallon buckets of water on the radiator then refilling it. The road was fairly smooth and got less crowded the closer we came to Siem Reap. I had prepared for my trip to Cambodia by reading all of the forums along with many blogs about Laos and China as my main purpose in coming to SE Asia was to teach in Guiyang, China for a month. It just made sense to me to come to a place where I could afford to have the fun I had in college a "few" years ago.

I suppose I could have planned ahead, but that is not my style. I asked the tuk tuk driver to take me to the Golden Orange Hotel that RetiredForever reccomended. By the way, Doug remembers you guys. We even tipped a beer in your honor. The Golden Orange is a very nice hotel as explained earlier. You really feel welcome and are well taken care of.

I showed Doug the list of places I was going to check out and he commented not to waste my time on Martini's but to go to the Blue Wave for a drink then on to Zone 1. I took his advice. The Blue Wave is not particularly large. There were about 8-9 girls there at 11:00 when I arrived. I of course was greeted by several at the door but kept walking around the bar to check things out then settled at the bar for a beveridge. The first girl that met me at the door sits next to me and rubs me all over asking if I want to make love to her. I asked how much, $20 she replied. I walk away and have a chat with a couple of young? Men and their girls, one from Tahiti and the other from Netherlands. My girl just followed me over and kept rubbing me without being too obnoxious. I rather enjoyed it. The beer was $2 and was served with a little plate of peanuts. We must have chatted a half an hour then I left to Zone 1. BTW I returned last night and enjoyed the services of "my girl" for $15. She didn't begrude me and really took care of me taking extra time with the BBBJ so I could get hard enough to finish. I am going to have to invest in some of those blue pills.

Zone One- Wow! Huge! A nice restaurant outside and a large, loud dance floor surrounded by a balcony upstairs where you can look down on the action. No cover charge! I did a walk around dancing as I walk and check out all the corners. I settle in in the southwest section near the bar and find a cutie who is anxious to dance with a large american middle aged man. And dance we did! I love to dance and at home it embarrases some. Here it seeml like I am John Travolta! I have to rest every few dances to catch my breath, wipe my brow and have a drink. A large bottle of Anckor beer $3. 30. My dancing partner shares one with me. We dance for an hour or so then on to business. I ask her to come back to my hotel with me. No problem. We did not discuss money, but as we were walking out the door her momasaan came over and asked for $30. She explained that is all I have to pay, no bar fine. I did not dicker. I mean negotiate as I was ready! Back to the Golden Orange for one of the nicest times in quite a long time. We showered, brushed our teeth, then on to the body kissing for 15-20 minutes. BBBJ, DATY, Anal-rimming then on to the main event! Wow!

After visiting Phnom Penh for several days (see report in the Phnom Penh section), I went to Siem Reap for 2 days and 1 night to see Angkor Wat. Comments below:

* Golden Orange: A nice hotel on the northern side of the city. It's a moto ride to any bar or anything you'd want to see/do in Siem Reap, but that isn't a major problem since there are almost always drivers hanging out nearby. I arrived at 11 am and had no problem checking in early.

* Zone One: A large dance club with Karoke as well. I only stayed in the dance club area so I can't comment on the rest. The large dance area is surrounded by tables and booths, similar to other clubs througout Asia. Although 80-90% of the people there are locals just out to have fun, I was approached several times throughout the evening by working girls. I like having a chance to talk to the girl and get a good look at her before taking her home, and the lighting and loud music made it impossible to do so, so I left without anyone.

* Martini's: I think the is the other dance club in Siem Reap, but my memory is failing me. Lots of techno music and much smaller than Zone One. It's older and on the decline. Not a single working girl that I could detect in my 30 minutes there.

* Blue Wave Bar: Short-time bar with 5-8 working girls ranging from 4-7. I went here early in the evening and decided on going to check out other places before coming back. By the time I did, the 7 was busy and I decided not to wait around. I think the quoted price is $20 short-time in their room.

* Brothels: After not finding anyone, a local motocycle driver took me to 4-5 different local brothels. I can't remember where some of them were, but there were 3 on the Zone One road between Zone One and the road leading to the airport. Most of the girls there obviously didn't want to go with me so I avoided them. The rate I was quoted for most of them, $30 for short-time to my hotel (too high) or $20 short-time in their rooms (they looked pretty dirty and I was worried about safety), so I went back to the hotel without one. There was one 9 who I wanted to take, but when I saw her she was in a towel and on her way to a room followed by a local guy. One of the owners told me that the price for a local guy was $10.

* Sightseeing: You can accomplish a significant amount with a hired tuk-tuk driver. I paid $12 the first day, and $20 the second (I went to Bantray Srei and the airport which was why it cost more) and saw 10-15 temples in 2 days of sightseeing. I wish I paid the extra $$ for an official guide since I probably would have gotten much more out of the experience. If you're coming to Siem Reap, the temples should be the reason, not the p4p which is better in Phnom Penh.

Fellow Mongers -

I am headed to SR in Late Aug and I am considering the above-mentioned hotel - does anyone have any commentary to share from previous experiences? I am looking at location to Pub Street and close proximity to the markets and of course, GF friendly...

Any local help would be greatly appreiciated...

I'm also trying to figure out where to stay. My research turned up the above hotel, but I don't know if it would be "comfortable" to bring a lady home. The Steung has a very centralized location which I really prefer.

I sent my research notes on both the Steung and Bopha Angkor to nite runner, but I too would really like to hear more from the experienced travelers. Come on guys...someone out there must know about places other than the Golden Orange and the Mandalay.

Also for the traveler who is interested in the cultural things, tourist sites, temples, and lakes...what is the ideal number of days to visit SR? Thanks!

Try Angorland hotel, I was there a few months ago, very good hotel, huge clean rooms, good breakfast, girlfriendly and is only $50/night.

If you really want to see Angkor wat get 3 days pass for $40

My experience at Siem Reap

Went to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh by bus, easy transfer, not too heavy. Before going there I've studied a lot, about temples of course and about fun, forum of Siem reap has been very useful to me, thank you all have spent sometime to write down informations. Is good for everybody to share experiences, from my point of view it would be better if experiences will not become just description of one detailed session, wich it always look like to me just exibitionism. So here is my report for Siem Reap, written mainly to thanks whom have posted before me about. It refers to february 2007. Took contact with Golden Temple Villa hotel by email, quite easy they have a site wich can be found easily, just google the name. Very nice hotel, the guy's team is really funny and if they see you alone they always wonder why, and smile if you get back with a girl, then it is definitly GF and do not cover anything for. Yes there are also tourists in it, but they are almost invisibles all time long. They also have an internet point free for hosts. On the small street of Hotel there are 3 barber shop but they look like garages. In daylight you won't find them but from sunset on, they will be quite obvious with their pink inlights. And if the girls inside, wich look like very lazy just watching the tv, see you, one for sure will jump up like a frog and will try to take you in the garage. But I didn't go. The reason is coming up. First evening in Siem Reap went to Martini wich is absolutley easy to find out. Once at the bridge it is so evident, It looks like a big xmas tree with all its flashing lights. Did not found anything else further, even if in this forum there were some indication of. Went around 9pm, too early, none there, girls outside cickening. Mamasan tough but good, she didn't let me choose, she took one in the bunch and pull her near me. First time in my poor monger's career I didn't choose and it was a very good thing. The girl was shy at first. Not a stunner, ordinary girl, nice 30y. Didn't see any better stuff anyway. Had a bier and then back to hotel by walking, it is very close. Mamasan dealed the all story, 35$. Yak! Bad bad bad! The shy girl who at first behaved like an icecube, slowly start to touching me gently and kissing me, she was very affective and at last when mamasan shot her price, I agreed, not forgetting a funeral face, at least. But it worth. Yes it worth. The shy girl was very nice and gentle, let me do whatever I liked and... she slept with me behaving like she really loved me. Morning, breakfast, she left, in the afternoon she came back to hotel and asked me to stay togheter once again. Shortly, had a real girlfriend for the 4 days in Siem Reap, and she didn't ask me nothing more. We did morning and evening with a total of 8 times for 35$, This is what I really call a deal. Cambodian girls are still gentle, really want to please, she loved me for those 4 days it was an experience for my heart wich has become like a frozen stone living in Italy where women behave... you know, they are all the same all over western states. (Someone call usa "sex prison", I know it is true, but never forget all western states are linked in culture, where one goes, sooner or later the others follow, europe is follwing very close). For this reason I couldn't have the time to join the garages services. Other place of Siem Reap is Zone One. It is bigger then Martini and much more activity. But I had luck at Martini, this can always happens, going to the best place for mongering is never an assurance to get what you are looking for, viceversa sometimes happens to find a pearl in the garbage. Mongering in Siem reap is easy but do not expect a wide choice. North part of town is full of 4 star hotels for tourists and tour operator, south part of the town, around the market is free of tourism. Backpackers are few. At night the two small street behind the market are a lovely place to hang out, music not too loud, good food, good prices. An all you can eat at Golden temple restaurant, wich is not the same of the hotel, 4$, all you can eat. Siem reap is easy, everything is small. All at all had 4 beatiful days in Siem reap, visiting temples with my local girlfriend on a tuk-tuk rented for 10$ a day and from the third day on, the shy girl became a real kitten. Also very useful having a girl for local contacts, it is more then a simple guide, she thinks about you only, really. Cambodian women still THINK for their men, not for themselves. She didn't wait me to be thirsty, she always had a coconut ready for me at the right time. I didn't have to ask nothing, the only thought she had is to please me, and serve me. Yes, sure I was the one with money, the one who payed, these are the two roles in cambodia, at least they are clear and women behave really that way. I finally tipped her before leaving with 40$ for the 4 days.

Also for the traveler who is interested in the cultural things, tourist sites, temples, and lakes...what is the ideal number of days to visit SR? Thanks!Siem Reap is very small. It doesn't matter where you are, you will be close to anything anycase. North part of the city: big hotels for tourist circuit, you will meet for sure some an angry western lady blaming you with eyes and even words, when will see you dealing with your last local chicken. South, less turists. Center is jsut the two small streets and market. But form north to south you can walk in 10 minutes, or take a moto-dop for 1 minute even less, it is so short way usually the guy of moto-dop don't even cover you nothing.

Ideal period for visiting Angkor is 5 days, Unfortunetly pass ar for 1d, 4d, 7d. One day for little circuit (the most spectacular), 1 day for long circuit, 1 day to Banteay Srei (wich surely worth it), one day to the "Group of Roulos", and finally one day to hanging arounf freeely in between The great Palace, the Elephant terrace, The hidden passage, Mebon, and others around. That's it.

So the 4d pass is a little short, but the 7d pass is definitly too long. The 5d pass do not exist exactly for this reason, to make you pay for 7d. I did the 7d one, and I used the 6th day to go to Kbal Speam, but it was long way north and transfer cost me more then the ticket. Now you know. Ticket at Angkor is very expensive. It is not a Cambodian managed site. It is an european one. Lake is Tonle Sap south of the city. There is a hill south, with a climbing stair. Go there at sunset time, you will see. Other lake is the Baray. It is not a lake, in fact is rectangular, have you ever heard about a rectangular lake? With stones boundary and steps all around?

Angkhor Wat pass is 1, THREE, or 7 days (not 4 unless they changed very recently) $20, 40, 60 each. Tickets available on the entry road - take cash

You can do most of the temples in 1 day (after you've seen much beyond Bayon, angkhor thom and the tree overgrown "not too much restored temple" and the 2 or 3 under reconstruction - ONE PILE OF ROCKS LOOKS ABOUT THE SAME AS ANOTHER). 3 days was enough - do the sundown on the hill over Angkhor wat, though, AND take bug spray - the mosquitoes get nasty right after dark and there is dengue fever in the area. Carry water with you (you can buy chilled water out there. Don't drink non-bottled water and make sure you open it yourself)

I agree with Dinghy's advice , though this is quite a variable issue - some guys will be exhausted by the sightseeing in one day... if you over do it, one pile of rocks starts to look about the same as another... and if you go at this time of year, it will be hot and humid... . But if you have the patience to study a little bit about what you are seeing in advance, and are curious about one of the world's great archeological sites, and you are probably only going to get one chance to see it, I would certainly agree that the three day pass is a better plan. There are incredible relief carvings and sculptures to be lingered over, and if you look into it a bit, you'll find there are interesting differences in what you are looking at. In summer it is hot, so you may want to go out for part of the day and relax for another part... and make sure you have a hat as well as that bug spray. As the temples are fairly widely spread out, it is nice to make a plan that will allow you the luxury of a few days to take Angkor in, alowing for some rest from the heat. But, as I said, this is very much a matter of personal preference. My advice is read uo a little on it in a good guide book and see whether you are interested enough to invest three days. I did and did not regret it.

hours - "daylight to darkness" (angkhor wat itself is pretty much closed after dark - not many if any lights that I remember) The hill opposite (sunset temple) is open after dark but the bugs will eat you alive - if you walk down take the elephant trail ($15 ride up on an elephant) - not so steep and easy walking - otherwise it's a rock climb - sun goes below horizon, get down before the bugs get up there

great photos at bayon - as good as any postcard. and angkhor wat as well - the wall carvings are particulalry photoworthy. it CAN be done in 1 day but it's 6am to 630 or 7 pm in the process... and the rains seem to come at night right after dark and it gets pretty DEEP on the streets - 15cm was what I remember

good books were cheaper at the wat rather than buying in bookstore - probably cheaper still in the market (where ever that is) The local guidebook is good for the non-mongering stuff. I remember at least 2 free guidebooks (magazines)

there were 3 temples under reconstruction (giant puzzle work) 2 years ago when I went there

Can anyone help with the cost from Saigon to seam reap? VN airlines will not quote me a price on the phone.

I hope it's not too expensive as I would like to spend the money in Cambodia. The golden temple guest house seems like a nice place to stay according to the reports but what is the security like there. Do they have in room security boxes so I can keep my stuff in? Hotel looks good but is my first choice to the Golden Orange so I'the like to know. I kind of like the appearance of the golden temple but they will not email my questions regarding security boxes. Better safe than sorry. There's a speed boat I read but how long does that take to get to Seam Reap and cost. The 1st week of October I hope is not too busy of a time to try to get a room at either of these to hotels. Guys help me out as I got 6 weeks to try and figure out how I'm going to get from Saigon to Siem Reap. All the reports were very helpful an am getting anxious to get the details of my trip done. 1st stop in siem reap will be martini's. Later

Yes to all this, and would add - if you stay at a decent hotel or B&B they will be able to recommend a good guide... three of us shared one who drove his own car and guided us... $25 a day for guiding and something like 20 for the car -- more expensive than other ways, but worth it in the heat to be taken in an a/c car and have someone who knew when to go where (e.g. to avoid crowds and get the best photos, etc.).

Books are all around - the street urchins and landmine victims walk around town with books you can buy, and there are a couple used bookstores in town. Cheaper buying there than before you leave home (but of course, you may not have time to read while you are mongering at night, so on second thought maybe you should read up before leaving home!).

Thanks alot for all the information. VNA didn't say if the $166 was round trip from Saigon to Siem Reap and Khmer at $89 is diffently a much better price. The information didn't say round trip either. Either way the airfare is a good price to fly there from either airline. I hope Khmer airlines isn't still flying those Russian airplanes. I read an article about 1 plane flying into a mountain because it didn't have the kind of radar that can see thru fog and see the terrain. I saw a picture of it and it was an older model style plane. I hope to drink a cold beer on the elephant ride though. Need some more information on where exactly that's at. 1 week in Saigon and! Week in Siem Reap should be enough for me. Thanks for all the help.

Salty,

If you have arrangement with tuk-tuk driver to Angkor, Ask him to take you to see the sunset before you go back to the hotel at around 5pm. That place is also at a ruins but the trails going up the hill is quite a hike for those young man only at heart. There is elephant ride going up from here.
If you have time, you can go by bus from Saigon to Phnom Penh which around 8 hours ride and is less than USD20, party in the capital and then to Siem Reap at <= USD10 by Bus also for around 6 hours.

Just thought I'd update, sitting here at the Golden Orange hotel at the bar on the free internet they have. Out last night, near pub street with Doug the owner, great guy and very knowledgable on the scene around here. Went to regular places like Zone One and Sok San lot's of cuties all over the place. Had a friend with me so I couldn't pick up but it seems even though it is low season that there are plenty of choices and ladies available.

After getting over a nasty hangover aquired at the laid back X BAR upstairs across from the end of pub street, I headed over to some of the special massage locations that others had posted on. Went to Blue wave passed it and found the massage sign and went down the dirt alley to find a house around 6pm, one cute spinner friendly but a bit of a Mr. you do me kinda girl. and spoke some Thai aquired working in the Poipet casino brothels. 10 bucks but took some haggling with my tuk tuk driver.

Doug just closed the restaraunt (great food bye the way) so I'm off to pub street for a meal then to the places around the corner from Zanzibar where I found a cute little Viet girl but the performance of a pornstar. Stopped by and had her put herself on hold for a 11pm pick up by me.

If you get a chance come to Siem Reap and see Angkor, the nightlife is decent and allows you to round off the trip with various activities. Price a bit more than PP but not terribly bad if you put forth a bit of effort.

If you need anything just ask the staff or Doug here at the Golden Orange and they can get it for you. I didn;t try the in room massage service which I have heard to be great but maybe next time.

Off to Battambong in the morning by boat pick up at 6am then I will post on Battambong in other areas once I get to PP.

LaterGlad to hear so many have tried my advice and stayed at the Golden Orange. As far as lock boxes Golden Orange has a huge box. Large enough to put computer and camera. I personally am looking forward to going back to SR in November, For those that have not been there make it a stop. Am seriously thinking about spending 6 months a year over in Cambodia and SR so far top of list. Planning on 3 month trip in November to explore more of Cambodia. Like to get to know Snooky since what I have read could be very laid back. Fromn what I remember rental condos going up left and right in SR with rent in the $150US per month.

Does any one know if there is a safe or security box at the Mandalay Inn?I was there in May, had a small room on the second floor with a double bed. I did not see any safety boxes, and there weren't too many hiding spots. Nothing went missing although i always locked my bag before i went anywhere. Nice place, never brought any girls back but after researching the forum before i left most reports were positive with bringing the girl back. Nice hotel with nice staff and close to pub street.

Nice to know I'm not the only one concerned about being safe. Who would think about carrying around a bunch of money into town. Sure it's good to know where it's at but it is a little crazy. Of course we all will leave stuff in the room but our stuff is always on your mind. I appreciate the feedback on the security of the rooms in a few hotel mentioned here. While going on tour it's good to know what the hotel is like. There was a report on a hotel in PP and the guy said when he went to his room unexpectedly there were a bunch of people hanging out and one of the guys was wearing one of his shirts. Imagine that one! Kind of hard to believe but Cambodia is not VN. The police in VN have a thumb on the people there and I believe they know how to behave. Not long now and I'll find out.

Just got thru spending a week at the Golden Orange Hotel and like the report said everything there is good. The Austrailian beef was excellent, can't beat the T-Bone, Rib Eye for just $7 bucks. What a nice hotel and bar. Spent a little time at Martini's, Zone One, Blue Wave and didn't like those places so just had a few beers and left. What ever happened to the chase? Buy a drink and they want to go. Didn't like what I saw anyway. One evening a group of guys from Mexico, Spain, Australia, England decided to jump into a couple of tuk tuks and take a ride to the Sok San Palace. The group went into the disco and I got lost and ended up at the end of a hallway staring thru a glass to see about 20 girls sitting with numbers. I went in and told the guy that I just wanted to look. He said $50 and I was gone. I caught up with the guys only for a short time. There was this Kymer girl fumbeling for a lighter so being a nice guy I lit her cigerettte. We were talking and then I noticed the guys moved to another area of the disco. We talked some more for maybe 30 minutes and finally asked if she would like to go with me and she held up 4 fingers. I said no and she put up 3 so I said ok. She was 20 years old and I would say a good 40 kilos. Very good looking Kymer woman and we spent the night and 2 times was enough for me. Had to get up early and hit the temples again. Many of the tuk tuk drivers have a look of disgust when you mention Vietnamese women. They all said bad, bad, very mean so I took their advice. Went back to the disco and noticed many young very pretty women there hanging out. Talked to another and off we went. The Kymer womem have very hard names to remember so I can't tell you guys any of the names. I haven't been to PP but I think next time in Cambodia I will see less temples and more of the Sok San Palace Disco. Like one guys said here "One pile of rocks looks like another. " I'm back on the side.

Sorry this is long overdue. I have explained myselfin the PP forum. Please read this in conjuction with that report also.

5/9/07 - Arrived from PP in am. Got to the Mandalay Inn where I was staying. Got settled in and spoke to staff and the owner's wife. Her hubby is Burmese apparently. Anyway, arranged all my tours etc with them. Went out to Banteay Srei and Pre Rup. Also caught my first glimpse of the mighty Angkor Wat before sunset. In the evening I went on a wild goose chase around various bars and clubs with no success whatsoever. There didn't seem to be any normal girl bars like in PP. Zanzybar near my hotel was dead. My hotel staff warned me off Martinis due to local troubles. I ended up getting an alleged, young Viet girl from one of the brothels with pink lights on the road that Zone One is on. It was agreed on $25 for 2 hours. $15 paid to the guy there and $10 to the girl on completion. Her english was non-existent but she seemed to suggest she wasn't Viet. Anyway, at the hotel she also refused to shave down there. Also pictures were not really allowed. DATY & Oral waer ok but she did have a fine body all round. Sex was average and I didn't cum. No anal of course.

6/9/07 - early start for sight-seeing. Bayon at dawn with no-one else there - amazing experience. Preah Khan and then the whole afternoon for Angkor Wat, which nearly killed me in the heat! That night I went out expecting to just go back to those brothels. Spotted though, the Zanzybar was kicking. Full of Khmers and I was in a Viet mood. Played pool with this lively older-looking, thin chick that I really wanted to nail. Ended up asking her to call me next day around 12 pm. I was sure I made it v. clear that I was leaving for PP at 3pm. Ended up leaving and going to another brothel in the same area as before. Picked out another gorgeous, young Viet girl for $25. Practically identical service to the night before but sex was better and I came whilst doing her doggy and spurted all over her backside!! Success at last!!

7/9/07 - Went to Rolous in the am. Shopping and lunched whilst waiting and hoping for a call from the Zanzybar chick. My mobile rang but then hung up. It called again from the same no. and I answered. I started explaining to her that time was of the essence etc. It soon transpired that it wasn't who I expected but the useless chick from PP from my 1st day there. I told her I had asked her to call on Sat and it appeared her friend had disappeared. I hung up, knowing I wouldn't hear from her again. Time passed and no other call came. Before I knew it, I was flying back to PP.

As it happens, that girl did call me that night but I had to explain I was back in PP. She was gutted!! Please return to the PP report for the rest....

Took the 6-hr bus from PP. arrived in SR after dark. Very glad to see my name on a board waving by the driver that Golden Orange sent. After checking in I wasted no time and head out for an adventure. I forgot to bring the city map, but the streets were so dim-lighted I wouldn't be able to read anything anyways. Wandered up the main road and became lost immediately. F it. Flagged down a tuktuk and asked for Martini.
Arrived at M too early - there was only 1 other guy inside, but I noticed bunch of working girls sat around outside and they looked okay. Mamasan sent me this smallish girl with short hair (face 5). She tried to give me a massage, but was actually only pinching my skin. Asked mamasan for a change and was given a taller girl with sexy long hair (face 6). Negotiate with mamasan for a takeout. M said $50! No way. I countered for $30. And between leaving the front door and stepping in the tuktuk, price had dropped down to $35. I eventually said no because I thought she was a bit too young (20) for me.
Asked driver was immediately asked if I wanted a Vietnam lady. He took me to chicken house#1 and after a quick lineup, none scored more than a 4. I shoke my head and off we went to house#2. I picked lady#1 and the price negotiation took place betwen driver and Viet guys. I settled for $35 for overnight. I know I know. I probably overpaid, but I wasn't going to sleep by myself on first night.
Her name was yau, 21. I had to doublecheck her age because she was about 5'1" with a tiny tiny build. She was very responsive in bed and eager to please. The next morning I gave her a $5 tip.
Spent most of day 2 visiting the temples. Set my alarm clock at 11 and went for a nap. Woke up at 12! F*k! Gd alarm clock must have been in a different timezone! Got dressed and flagged down a motordup and headed over to zone1. From the number of girls hanging around near the entrance - apparently waiting for someone, I knew this must be a happening place. I was wrong. Yes the place was packed with locals and tourists (about 20:1) but not knowing a word of the language, it proved to be hard.
I tried all the standard approaches but none of them seem to want to make a connection. Yes there was a hardcore-looking pro who kept poking at my stomach, but with this much merchandise I didn't want to settle for a hardcore. At one point I sat down on a chair and tried to talk to this lady, but she stood up and left with her man, whom apparently was standing behind me all this time. I'm glad I didn't do anything out of line.
Hours went by. The music was good and crowd was crazy and 3am came and all-of-a-sudden the music stopped and lights came on. F*k! Last ditch action to salvage the night was unsuccessful. I could have flagged down a tuktuk and went for the chicken house routine again, but I was too tired. So day 2 ended with no catch.
Day 3 started with lots of sightseeing again. Went to Soksan massage. 60-min Cambodian massage (with boom boom) is $50, which is more expensive than Bangkok's 120-min Thai massage which will cost about $35. Soksan only has 6 girls in the fishbowl, but as soon as one got dispatched a new one would come in. I told the papasan to give me someone that really knows how to do massage, or I wouldn't return again. It turned out okay. She was about 26 although she said 21. Smallish build again and face 6. I liked the Khmer massage. It has all the standard Thai moves, plus some new ones. When massage was finished, I took a look at the Soksan disco. It was about 10pm and place wasn't crowded at all. So I flagged down a motordup and went to zone1 again.
Zone1 was packed again. And again I noticed lots of girls waiting around the front door. This time a short lady with deep voice showed me a seat and identified herself as the mamasan! I told her I would try my luck first, but she didn't quite understand that. This place gives me good vibes and I'm sure I'll be very happy man if I can speak more than a few Khmer words, but I digress. Anyways saw this stunner and when she walked passed me we exchanged glances. But I was going to make sure she didn't have a boyfriend first... Mamasan came over and showed me this girl. Wow, face 8 and nice rack! Mamasan wanted $50, but I negotiated it down to $35 all night.
Due to my earlier expedition at Soksan, I couldn't come! Kept working at it and changed position many times. Even stopped and cuddled a bit and picked up again, still couldn't come! Damn! Oh well, kicked her out at 2am because I had to get up early to take the bus to PP. She even gave me her cell#.
SR appeared to be a rough place. Dim or sometimes no street lighting, with lots of men hanging around on the street. Inspite of that, my 3 nights of roaming did not run into any trouble at all. They know what I want and they got what I want, so instead of robbing me, why not sell me some pussies? Good transactions generate more future sales.

don't bother the girls are expensive and give lousy service :(
Save your money for mongering in Phnom penh or bangkok.

The girls in Zanzybar give excellent hosting in the bar but when you get them one on one they are passive and not fun,
Sok sun is good for beer and athmosphere but not for one on one activities,
And the Viet brothels has plenty of girls who don't speak a word in English.

Hi,

I'm looking for a good hotel (maybe 20-30 price range) close to the bar action. I read the Golden Orange is "away" from the action..is that true?

I've not been to Siem Reap and "did" do a search, but still would like info.

Thanks

ThanksPretty small town. Nothing too far. Arrived Friday for another adventure. Got there about 10 PM. Ran into another memeber at Golden Orange. Was English guy with friend. Had a few beers down stairs then owner Doug arrived at Hotel with wife. He he is a;ways up for an adventure we went hunting and took his wife. What a fun lady. Anyway long story short Doug took us to local dsico called Sok San. Had girls on stage dancing (with clothes) but good atititude. Eventually 3 girls later we all left with smiles and went back to hotel bar with the girls. To put it politely we all ended up the next morning with smiles. As a matter of fact 3 days later one of the guys still has the same little bit of cuteness (calls her Sweet Pea). Come here one and all you just can not beat this little town. Heading out tonight for fantastic dinner a local Kobe restaurant for $17.50 per 7 course meal best meal in country. Be sure to ask Doug about it. Finest Japanese Tanpan Yaki cooking you will fine with Kobe beef. Be sure to go to build up your stamina.

So RF, you recommend Golden Orange, I take it. Any other centally located hotels you'd recommend? I tend to go for mid level hotels. Decent, but nothing luxurious. Thanks to whomever wants to answer.

I stayed at the Golden Orange about a year ago and liked it. The owner is a round eye who has a very pretty khmer wife. The inlaws are in the lobby all the time playing with the little kid. Nice family atmosphere.

The food was very good, service aone, and it's very GF.

What more can you ask for.

For whatever it is worth diid a little running around the other night just to see sights:
1. Pub St:Basically 1 block long with restaurants on either side of street that is closed to traffice at night. The is also an alley adjacent to it that has some more restaurants and bars. Be sure to try the Amok. About all that there is in this area. Mostly families and backpackers.
2. Zone one: Basically Khmer disco with several hundred people music loud and never stops. Typical disco. Sat outside for a while at restaurant that is part of complex. Mammasan approached me and offered girl. You will see about 2 dozen girls outside of entrance that are available. Price of drinks reasonable. Went inside and quickly approached by a #10. DEcided to buy her a few drinks. Her lady drink and my beer was about $4.75 each round. 80% are khemer men dancing together. Very large gay community.
3. Martini's: Much quieter but nice small disco. Only about 30 people inside. Quickly offered girl. Bought 2 beers/1 coke $12. Wanted $40 to take LT. Business apparently gone a lot so raising prices.
4. Blue Wave: Took one of the English blokes I met there. If there is one place in the world you are assured on getting lucky it is here. Very average looking ladies but very enthusiastic. Beer $2. Girl in back $25. Can get girls to take off panties and play with them while having a drink.Ended up taking home girl from there because of attitude. 2 days later still with me.
5. Apparently some little Khemer brothels right by the Zone one. Will investigate and report.
Very small town. All the places will require a tuk tuk to take you from one place to next. Usually 5 minute drive costing $1-2

Well, I'll chalk this one up to dumb adventures. Flame me if you will, but this board has given me plenty, so I figure I should contribute my bad experiences for the benefit of everyone.

I went overland from Bangkok to the Cambodian border. I think I was wise getting a Cambodian visa in advance because of all the touts and shady characters hovering around in No Man's Land, but it cost me more. I took a brutal taxi ride to Siem Reap for $50--I knew that was expensive before I left, but I can't imagine we didn't do $50 damage to the Camry over that road--let alone the four hours it took to get there. The driver earned every penny of what he got out of it.

After doing the usual tourist things, I found a tuk tuk driver I liked and negotiated with him to take me around to the all the nightspots all night long for a flat $10--with the clean understanding that he wasn't taking any commissions for anyone or anybody at anytime. He was so overwhelmed with the opportunity, I think he was onboard with that agreement.

It being a Sunday night, my expectations were low. The first place he took me was some sort of bar/massage parlor combo with a fishbowl. I'm sure it's mentioned elsewhere here but I don't have the name in front of me. The place was empty but the fishbowl was full. The papasan pointed out a couple of recommendations and I took one for the two hour trip. I think it was $20.

Never having done this particular fishbowl scene before, I didn't find it to my liking. The girl was more interested in singing karaoake and watching videos than paying any attention to me. After about ten minutes I had my fill of crappy, sappy Asian pop. I gave her $5 and called the deal off. The Papasan was nice enough to refund my money, though, so if I were back there, I might give it a try. Strike one, it but probably had as much to do with me being overly sensitive about things as the inattentive girl.

The driver took me to a massage parlor way out of town towards the airport, and assured me I'd have better luck there. Rather than audition the talent, I decided to see who the firecracker receptionist would send to me. She sent in a woman who must have been 45 years old, much to my disappointment. I should have sent her right back out, but for some reason I went with the flow. The old lady gave me the most painful massage experience I have ever had. Damn that hurt. So needless to say, I wasn't even considering extras after the first three minutes of the hour of torture. Strike two.

Couldn't blame the driver for these misfires, really, and I liked him anyway. He spoke English well and had a sense of humor. He laughed at my experience and took me on to Zone One. I invited him in for a beer and I think the security let him only because he was with me.

Zone One was much more my speed, even though I'm not into discos at all. For a Sunday night, it was all going down. The driver stayed for one big beer and then left me to my devices. The same little Cambodian mamasan lady came by and offered me two girls, neither of which did it for me. Her assistant came later and offered two more, which I also passed on.

After a couple of beers on an empty stomach, I was feeling pretty good and ready to call it a night. On the way out I found the same mamasan with a gaggle of girls at the door and ended up taking one from her for the requested $50 Long Time, me clearly being too drunk to negotiate. The girl I took was reasonably cute, Khmer and spoke no English. The driver took us back to the hotel and I tipped him $1. I thought for a minute he was going to wet himself in excitement.

Up in the room the girl and I tried to talk for a while, looking at my travel pictures and then decided to get down to business. We seemed to be warming nicely to each other when she got one look at me and started in on the "you're too big" ploy.

Now, I'm just as proud of my ankle spanker as I ought to be, but truth be told, I have fallen for this ruse before and wasn't about to give her a pass. It has worked fine for many without complaint. She offered a handjob as consolation, which I wouldn't even consider. She was firm in her "no boom boom" stance, so I made her put her clothes on and back we went to Zone One. I had been feeling particularly fleeced on this trip, and there was no way I was going to be taken for a ride without being taken for a ride. Heh.

Surprise, surprise the mamasan wouldn't hear of giving me my money back. She wasn't going to give me anything and she called the club manager over to back her up. He listened to her story and, to my surprise, shrugged his shoulders at her and walked away. She then started giving me excuses why she couldn't give me the full $50, which included that she gave the tuk tuk driver $20 for bringing me. Of course, I knew this was bull because A) I had the agreement with the driver and B) even if he did get a commission from her, I am quite sure it wasn't $20.

We argued loudly in front of the club and everyone for several minutes. She tried to duck and hide in the club but I wouldn't let her five feet from me. She then told me to wait and she called someone on her cell phone. Realizing that whoever she was calling would be no help to me, I figured time was no longer on my side. I grabbed the little hand purse she carried, opened it up and took out a huge wad of bills. I counted out $50 for myself and handed everything else back to her. She was completely aghast, and frankly so was I that I had the balls to do this.

I walked over to the a tuk tuk driver and told him to drive like hell back to the hotel. We made a high speed getaway at about 15mph. On the way back to the hotel it occurred to me just what I had done. Certainly a woman doesn't run a business like that alone, she's got to have 'protection'. After they finished dealing with the girl that refused, no doubt they would decide to 'talk' to me, if not before. Since they could trace me back to my hotel via the girl or perhaps either tuk tuk driver, I figured it was time to move out, and I checked out of the hotel at 12:30am and walked for a long way until I found another hotel for the night.

Earlier I had purchased a next day ticket for the boat ride to Phnom Phen through the hotel, but I knew I'd be eating this too as the hotel would probably give me up to anyone who came around asking. I didn't want to be met at the pier or followed to Phnom Phen by the Cambodian Marlon Brando. I was at the Airport Road offices of Vietnam Airlines when they opened their doors the next morning, and got myself on the 10: 20 flight to Saigon. The whole episode cost me much more than the $50 I would have overpaid.

Lots of lessons here, but the behavior change for me will be not to deal with pimps and middlemen. Any negotiating I do will be strictly between myself and the girl. Cheaper and hopefully safer.

Well did a little research other night for members. Went to chicken little area. According to local research this is the story. During high season the area not allow to put lights up outside. Local government does not feel appropriate for tourist industry. When slow season they have red lights outside with girls sitting on roadside. All are located down the short street to Zone One. You will see small walkway leading back to rear of different buildings. Just walk down and usually see a group of girls sitting there. There are usually a bunch of Khmer men standing around. Do not worry. They are just hanging around. Usually one of the better speaking ones will come over and try to convince you which one to take. They are small so think about taking two. Can lend itself to lots of fun. There are about 3 on right side. Some had as few as 3 girls. About 3 on left. The last one just before you get to the Zone One seemed to have the best with at least 14 with some real lookers. Just look for some type of movement down different walkways and enter. No need to bodily harm. Any harassment of tourists strickly forbidden with major problems if it happens. One of the places on left had about 6 girls run by a mamasan. Walked in and she just got all excited. Kept pulling up chairs just chattering away. Saw I was carrying a large beer so poured her half. Could not have appreciated more.
By the way forgot to mention on previous post that Sok San has a fish bowl. Walk in and the girls are all brought out and lined up. By way the girls I got from inside the dance area each accepted $30. There may be a mammasan but do not think so. They all seem to be freelancers. I know one of the girls must have been happy because it took me 2 days to get her to leave. Finally left this morning. Hoping she is not coming back. Very sweet girl but just must be getting too old. Two days with anyone is one day too long.
The is a club with girls called Top Town. One of the guys staying here went there the other night and spent about $100 in about an hour and came back with no girl.
Also hear from a local girl I know that works at X Club that it is very nice. Has glass windows and glass roof up on second floor that gives you a beautiful view of local area. Has very large plasma TV and AC. Have not been there but she claims very nice. Says they have sports or movies on TV depending what is going on that evening
Remember this is a small town with not a lot to do. Personally I suggest Sok San as first choice. Zone One very loud with mostly gay Khmer but lots of girls some stunning. If older may feel out of place but what the hell. Can not lose at Blue Wave but girls just okay at best. Have room in back if you do not want take out.
Well last post for here. Leaving for Laos. If I find anything interesting will report. Will be back in Siem reap at Golden Orange for 1 week about January 10 for 1 week to pick up friend then to PP. Found out where and how to get to No Hands Restaurant in PP. What they are floating restaurants about 15 of them. You catch boat from PP go down river for about 30 minutes. What I have been told cost of boat about $5 per hour. Get to house boat and you order food off of menu. Girls serve you and then select girl of choice for private session. Was told house boat 666 the best. Once find out full details will report under PP.
By the way I know I am always referring to Golden Orange. But you can not beat the info Doug can provide. Just read last posting experience so am adding this thought. If you stay here get tuk tuk driver Samreth has 4400 on his vest he has to wear. No commissions will be charged by any of Doug's drivers. Made mistake one night did not use and got driver off of the street to take me to Blue Wave. He had to be told how to find. Later on found out from girl driver had come inside and asked for a commission for bringing us there. But as with everything as we all because more experienced our cost ratios will decrease.
Hope my reports are simple and helpful. If any one needs any more info please feel free to PM me. I am just now beginning my final career (mongering) so feel like I should pass on whatever I learn. Most of my reports though contain what I know.

Sok San = Expensive
Blue Wave = Ugly chicks
Zanzaybar = Ladyboy palace

Conclusion: Go see the temples and get hammered at X bar all night. Siem Reap is no good for action.

I did a little field research here in SR regarding some Cambodian brothels. Starting at the Old Market, cross the bridge toward Martini's. With your back toward Martini's look ahead and left. There is a road along the river which you don't want. Follow the next road inland about 300 meters. Doremi Karaoki is on your right side. Standing outside the building, they pull back a curtain and you view the talent of 12 to 14 average girls from there. I was quoted $35 in the local hotel, everything included, or $50 take home. Dream World is just a little further down on the right with the largest selection of girls. 40 girls sit in chairs around the perimiter of a very large well lit room. You can walk around the room. On site is $40 and take home LT is $60. Your third option is Bopear Club (former hotel) again on the right. Here there were about 15 girls sitting outside the front entrance with an additional 5 inside toward the back. Here they quote $35 for short time or a bar fine of $15 for take home and negotiate the fee with the girl. None of these places had any English speaking talent. All were Cambodian and most seemed about average in looks. I didn't partake so can't comment on the rooms. Dream world seemed to be the most successful, based on the number of ladies present.

Well I think the secret to this twon is to find a guy who knows the places. Ie a good motorbike driver. Who can talk good english and let him take you around.

Last night I found such a guy. We went to Blue Wave. Girls were ok nothing great. But heck I had a $2 beer in one hand and the other hand was in a pussy. I declined the $20 room in back as wanted to go around.

Went to Martini. S nothing there for me.

Sok San. Had a nice massage with happy end. Didn't opt for boom boom tho. Gal was sweet and cute. No 28. Maybe $40. I can't recall

From there my guy took me to Do Re Mi. Didn't see anything I liked.

Then went to Angkor Valley. Off the beaten path. And ended up getting a sweet blow in a kareoke room. Cost $11 plus beers. Gal ws happy with $2 tips. These prices are crazy.

Then back to Blue Wave for some more fingering before calling it a night.

Bike driver dropped me back at my hotel. He hot $6. Great night. And all for much less than $100.

Found a bike rider who could take me round. Stoped in Blue Wave. And the gal I was with night before was realy super happy to see me. Or a good actress. SO I took her in the back room. US$ 20. And she gets $10 of that. Was glad to she was very hgienic. Anyways we had fun.

Sign in room states all the govt regulations about staying in a room. Including " no prostitution? " yeah right

Then went to Toptown. The KTV thing isn't my thing. But hey in a dark room with a pretty gal is. Truoble is in toptown and some other KTV I went they wanted US3 for a small bottle of beer. , . No thanks.

Anyways onto Martinis which is crap. May have sat with a ladyboy but I wasnt sure. US$7 for a stella.

And then I was going to head for home. But the driver says he knmows some place. Drive past the Meridien then turn right. Antena goes up when we go down a dark and dusty road. But eventually come to a street with maybe 100 kareoke places. All booming music. Lots Cambodian boys here obviously getting kicks. Sat in some room wth interesting sign on wall that says. " no guns, no explosives and no hand grenades allowed inside. " hold on honey, I've got to staore my hand grenade before enter. Haha

Anyways I sang, drank 12 beers with help of two ladies. Driver took me back and he got his US$6 for his help. A fun night.

After dinner, out and about for a last night on the town. Ok. Started Blue Wave where yesterdays lady (pick of the crop but no idea of name). Was equally hapy to see me. And had no panties on. Ok time to get runs on board so her and me to the private room in back.

Motor bike rider procured and off we go. He took me to all sorts of places. Houses with girls sitting in front. All started quoting US$50 but al quickly went down to US$20. Even had one offer 15. Bu they werent my types. Plain faced janes. Anyways stopped for a beer in Zone one. Didn't see anything in disco so go to kareoke upstairs. Have a look at selection. Found one. In the room and start. But moment I touch her. She screams. Fine. I'm outta there. Went downstairs and sat outside. A mamsan found me a cute gal. But no english. So we sat and smiled and I couldn't imagine having this girl if we couldn't talk.

So off again and found a nice Vietnamese in a house. $17. And for ten minutes it didn't matter if she couldn't speak English.

Ok. Then off to Zanzy bar. Earlier here it says all ladyboys so was wary. But it had some very cute gals. And they allowed me to check that none were ladyboys. Sat and had beers with one. Took one back to hotel. And that was 3 days in Cambodia.

I was in SR a year ago and partook of the massage parlors on the road to the golden temple. There were 3 of them. Now all 3 seem are gone being made into guest houses I would guess. However, across the street from where they were is another "massage parlor". It's cheap, $5 I think. The masseuse was Kum Li. Not bad looking. She gives massage and teases a bit. Long story short, she will do nothing but sex with her on top. No bj of any kind. She got completely naked, got on top and rode me to completion. Extra tip was $20. I would probably not repeat.

So, this is my first report to the ISG forum, after a long time reading only.

First time in Cambodia, didn't peruse the ISG as deeply as I should have, so I'm sure I missed many interesting mongering places.

Stayed at the Golden Temple hotel. Very gf friendly.

Night 1:

On my first night in, walking back to the hotel from pub street, I found (LOL they found me! ) a bunch of girls on the right side of the street. Couldn't stay all alone on my first night, did I?

So I took the one I thought the prettiest and bought here to the light. Half-luck here, face 7, small top, small back, 1, 55m of khmer.

My first answer to the announced price (40$ ST) was one I used a lot later: "Ahaha! Not first night in Cambodia anymore! " (what a liar I am).

From this point the price went downhill a bit, and we stopped at 25$ for a full yumyum and a nice boomboom just after. We go to the flat at the end of the alley, close the door, "disrobe", quick shower ("nice small tities you have"), and my first BBBJ. No CIM, CIF ok. Pause for battery charging, missionary (nice & tight) followed by doggy style and back to the hotel to start my holidays!

Night 2:

Up at 4:30 am for sunrise and photography, Angkor what and other temples. Back to the hotel, Motobike to Tokyo Massage. 30-35$ massage + boomboom. Nice viet girls around 25 y. O. , range from 5 to a 9 in faces. Nice massage.

Dinner then tuk-tuk to Zone One. Some girls in miniskirt having dinner in front of the club, but I's way too early for Zone 1 (9:30pm).

Back to hotel then motorbike to Martini (1, 50$. Everywhere, almost, is 1$ away in the city. Often less after haggling.)

Now, I'm in a lazy mood and ask papasan to send me a "pretty girl". Huge error, papasan and myself don't have the same tastes at all. First girl goes back (face 3, rack 3, acne? Too much). Now the club gets absolutly dark, hard rock music starts, papasan is back with girl in absolute darkness. So I check with the lighter and well, its a 6. Finish the beer, go speak with mamasan, haggle to 30$ all night (I was a bit drunk, papasan told me she was sex crazy, it was 11:00 pm, what the hell.).

Girl comes with me, I stop at the supermarket to get some drinks and the girl get all "ohh, buy me this, buy me that, this please, please. "not. A. Good. Start. (tm). I buy her some shampoo, back to the hotel. Now begins the nightmare. No yum-yum. Boom-boom after I insist, straight, with a mobile phone ringing every 5 minutes, and a girl resisting all tries. As I wasn't in a rape mood, had already paid the mamasan, so I finish my thing and the girl start to dress! Reminding her that all night is at least until sun-up, I now have a girl that don't speak english anymore, except to ask for her shampoo and some extra money. I laughted at that, told her that she would have to be nicer to get gifts and put here out of my room. After hearing some noises, I dress up and find her exploring and starting to chat with reception guy. I took her to the barrier, gave 1$ to the guard and told him to throw her out for me. Which he actually did in a very no-nonsense way 8) she actually flew the last 2 meters. Nice guard, you have other tips coming you way.

I was a bit frustrated by now and decided to go to the girls 100 meters from the hotel. Quick shag with girl from first night, 15$ due to lateness. Sleep, at last

Night 3:

God I hate temples. I'm half dead from the heat, and I find a VERY NICE massage parlour. No sex (sorry). Just massage.

It's called Frangipani and it is just behind pub street, in what I can only call "restaurant street". 28$ for hot oil massage, 90 minutes, one of the best massage I had before hitting the 100$, Sofitel Spa. Go to Tokyo Massage if you want the boom-boom part, but for a real massage go to Frangipani.

Photography convention at the FCC, I meet some photographers and find myself in a french Bar called Laundry (no-girls) with french Pastis and Saucisson discussing photography and girls with the expats.

Best club to find girls is "Temple", on pub street. The more beautiful ones from Zanzibar and other clubs + non-pros actually meet there to get the more "upscale' clients. Bingo!

So I finish at Temple, have a drink and look at the scene. Most of the girls are pretty, and there seem to few katoe (important, coming back later.).

So I play pool with a tall one called Lita (face 7, slim 1. 7m girl with glasses and a huge smile), and a short one called Jeanny (face 7 but nice smallish body). A few drinks later (My personnal hebriety being quite high already) I decide to get the two girls I was playing pool with to the hotel. Lita already told me "she would very much like to finish the night with me", blushing all the time. So I take Jeanny also and on we go.

Shower, one at a time, no showing of tits before starting, but ok, nice ambiance. Get the two in my bed and Jeanny start BJ with condom while I play with Lita. Jeanny nice short but a bit flat, Lita tall slim and flattish, but more tits than Jeanny. When things start to get serious, Lita tells me she prefer we do boom-boom on our own and than I can change to Jeanny later. Seems bad, but she actually is a nice (tight) girl. So I finish with Lita, find myself half asleep, Jeanny already, Lita in my arms going sleepy also.

I then wake up around sunup and start waking up Jeanny for my little extra with her. To make a long story short, in daylight and whithout the binge acting, a very quickly found out my girl had a dick and was lubricating his/her/its tights to make me think he/she/it wasn't.

I don't think I ever went flask faster, anytime.

Everyone was still half asleep so I gave Lita 25$ and Jeanny 15$, sent them home and went back to sleep the 2 hours I still had.

Night 4:

This night was to be an easy one. Had massage at Frangipani, went to diner, went to bar, finished at Temple. Took Lita again, and she asked me if I was angry she didn't tell me I also took a ladyboy home the night before. I nicely told her it was no problem, and that there was no real damage done.

All night, 4 times with her, fingering her anus and getting the best of her lithe body was my vengeance. Damage: 25$.

Night 5:

After the temples, I went to the Blue Pumpkin bakery (end of Pub street, best bakery in town), Frangipani massage, had dinner in front of the Red Piano and two girls (Lita and Pia, which Lita assured me was a real girl) from Temple for a threesome. Pia was very nice (BBBJ, COF but no CIM) and Lita agreed to share the BBBJ. Finished up with the two girls on their knees their backs turned to me, and me changing girls whenever I felt like it. Good. Very good. Had another session with the two, fell asleep of sheer exhaustion. Gave 25$ each for very good service and being good girls all night long. Lita proposed, but I refused to have Lita come with me on the next leg of the voyage.

End of stay at Siem Reap. Next is Phnom Penh, capital of vice.

Ok, came from PP, a previous report and arrived in Siem Reap about 3PM. It was early so we made our plans for going to the Angkor Wat the next day, then we walked around for a couple hours. On the way back to the room we walked on some back roads where you will not see and other Barangs and all of the locals were so friendly. Every person on the block waved at us and said “Hello”, I wasn’t use to that, I thought they were going to follow with saying buy this or give me some money that, or want a ride or something. But, they just genuinely wanted to say hello and smile. I started to like the place a lot.

OK, first night for mongering in Siem Reap, went to Blue Wave first. It was kind of early, maybe 7PM. Only about 6 girls there and we did not find them that interesting. We had a drink, got groped for awhile and left. I believe they wanted about $20 to go up stairs for boom boom. We walked to Zone One next, it’s a nightclub disco kind of place. It was kind of slow when we walked in and for some reason a lady insisted that we should sit upstairs, they gave us the special treatment because we were foreigners. Nothing happened for about 20 minutes, all the while I was thinking someone will bring us ladies or we would be approached. OK, finally a momasan comes up with a couple girls, I really liked mine, but she did smell like she needed a shower. My friend didn’t really like his girl too much, and he said his girl smelled like she needed a shower too. Maybe the girls stay in some hot room with no A/C or something. We wasted a lot of time there and I was about to take my girl, momasan wouldn’t go lower than $35 for LT, but my friend didn’t like his girl, so I told moma that he wanted a new girl. The new girl was better… and for some reason she had a bad smell to her too. I was very close to taking my girl, but it was still early and I didn’t want to end the game. We left and I thought maybe moma would lower the price again, but she didn’t. We were curious about those massage places on that road and walked in some of them. We tried to figure out if extra service was available, but the people in the front room would not talk about it. We didn’t want to take a chance of lousy or no service so we didn’t try. We then used the internet café there had some drinks and read this website for some more intel. We later walked up the road and some Viet girls got our attention, they said boom boom for $10, the problem is we didn’t like any of them. We went up the road not much farther and some Cambodian girls with a momasan said boom boom. I think they quoted us $25. We said too much and they went down to $20. A few of them were kind of cute, but they only wanted to talk money this, money that, so we walked up the road some more. We walked by a place that had a girl wave at us, but there were about 6 local guys sitting down waiting for their turn or something, we didn’t like that scene so we walked on. We saw some suspicious places but didn’t really find and definite P4P places. We walked back to the girls that wanted $20 for boom boom and we took their offer, my friend was kind enough to let me have the one I wanted, she kind of reminded me of my ex-wife ( how sad huh? Ha-ha), anways we went to the room and she insisted on me paying up front, I protested for awhile and then I gave in and gave her the $20. OK, so it’s hot in the room and I see an A/C on the wall. I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on, so I asked her to turn it on. She demanded I give her $5 to use the A/C… shit I was pissed, I said no and she turned on a fan and said is that OK. I wasn’t happy but I said OK. I took a quick shower being careful with my wallet. She then took a shower and she wouldn’t do anything, she just laid on the bed, I wasn’t happy again, I asked her to do something and she said I had to pay $40 for the whole package… dammit, I was pissed. She had a nice body, so I was going to try to make the best of it. I was sweating bullets trying to get myself off and after awhile I was losing interest since she had no motion going on,.. and what’s up with girls in Cambodia just picking their nose in front of you, this happened to me many times in a few days.. I bring this up because I’m on top of her trying to get myself off and she picks her nose while I’m banging her …WTF??? OK, I was intent on getting $20 worth. I told her to go in the doggy position and she said no… WTF? She said I have to pay her more…. I got so mad I stopped and told her I want to talk to moma and get my money back, I let her know she sucks, not in the good way. She hesitantly went doggy, and I noticed that it looks like she lets guys do her in butt, because it looks beat up. Anyways, I do this, but she is dry now, it’s hot, and she made me so mad. I eventually quit with disgust. She asked me for a tip, and I told her she needs to try and do a better job and guys in her future might give her tip. I guess that was my tip for her.

My friend said he had a great time with his girl and she was willing to do whatever he wanted, and she turned on the A/C for no extra charge.. WTF?? Well, my girl got dressed in panjamas like she was done working for the night, I thought that was odd.

So, we go scouting some more and I was deciding whether I would call it the night or go back to Zone One to find that one girl I liked earlier, but we decided to check out Martini’s. As soon as we walked in 2 girls seemed to come from no where and joined us at our table. The were dressed nicely as if they worked there as in a non-working girl kind of work. We were only offered to order beers, so we ordered our beers, which were big bottles and the waitress automatically poured some for the girls… hmm.. we didn’t offer them any. I figured the idea was for them to drink up the beer were ordered to make the bar more money. About every other song they wanted to dance, OK, I had fun, I thought she was some normal non-working kind of girl and I had a lot of fun with her, also she was so fine looking I was hoping I could somehow take her to my hotel. After two orders of beers we decided to leave and nothing was mentioned about ST or LT. I was surprised with the bill. We were charged $3 each, for the 2 girls. I guess we got charged for their company. Then I got to thinking.. OK, that’s how that bar works… where are the working girls? We walk out and they follow, now we see more girls sitting outside with a momasan. I was actually hoping they would ask me if I wanted the girl, and yes…..well moma asked me if I want to take her back to my room, and moma liked to mention that I can take her to Angkor Wat with me. Hmm.. I thought that was pretty cool, someone hot to hangout with and boom boom when I want. Moma said $40 LT, or $30 ST. Hmm.. I got it down to $35 LT. But, I said I would wake up early the next morning to go to Angkor Wat, she said no problem… for some reason I wanted to make a deal to keep her for 2 days. I couldn’t talk moma down any lower than $70 for 2 nights. OK, so I pay the $70 and we go to our hotel the Golden Orange, which is very girl friendly. The girl acted very open in the bar, but she turned out to be extremely shy once she laid in the bed. We watched TV for about 45 minutes and I thought it was OK to help make her get comfortable with me. After me groping her for awhile she told me in her only English, to go shower… that’s a good sign. I shower, then she showers, then she lays in the bed like a virgin… I was beginning to think she was very new in the job. I treated her very well and kissed her all over the place and she acted like nobody ever did that to her before, alright, so I have to get on top and do all the work, but she was so sexy, I had my good time.

Next day we do the Angkor Wat thing, come back to the room and I was hoping for some more boom boom, but she seemed mad for some reason. I could not figure out why because she could not speak any English. I was getting a little mad at her because it was obvious I was not going to get any boom boom from her. I did my best to let her know to call moma, because I want to talk to moma and let this girl go, and get half my money back. She acted like 2 days was too long and she wanted to go home. Anyways, I ask the front desk to be a translator for me, what she told them was she just wanted to go to her room and get new clothes… so I said OK, we go to your room and get new clothes, but she changed her mind… hmm.. I didn’t understand, I thought maybe she was going to leave and not come back. We had a special dinner going on down stairs but she didn’t want to go, so I went by myself. Later on she went down there to get some food. I went up stairs and after my groping her for awhile she let me boom boom her again, but it wasn’t fun because she was acting like I was keeping her slave and didn’t want to be there.. well.. once again, she was so sexy.. I had my happy ending anyways. My friend wanted to go back to Martinis to get the girl he met the night before, so I told the girl I would go there and she said she would just stay in the room. I just made sure there wasn’t much for her to take. We went to Martini’s and all the girls were dressed up like they were going to a High School prom. There were some real hotties there. So moma said where’s my girl and I just said she’s still in my room. We take his girl and back to the hotel, where I have a couple more drinks. No more boom boom that night, but I didn’t have the energy anyways. She woke up at 730AM wanting to leave.. well crap.. I wanted to try boom boom again before her leaving, but I didn’t mind so much because I wanted to save some power for PP, because we were heading back. She asked if she could leave and I said go ahead, I didn’t want to feel like I was keeping her against her will. She asked me for some tip, but I only gave her enough for motorbike. OK, so I go back to sleep and about 90 minutes later someone knocks on my door, I thought it was the maids or something… hmm.. to my surprise the girl came back, I thought maybe she left something in my room.. but no.. she was just acting all sweet and kind and stuff.. hmm.. I thought that was odd. She got back in bed with her clothes still on and watches TV. Well, I might as well feel her nice boobs some more. She tells me to take a shower.. ahh… “that’s a thing to hear”. So I shower and come back and for some reason she seems interested in having sex, she pretty much undresses herself instead of me previously having to almost rape her. Then she even tries to give me a beginners BJ, hmm.. probably the first time she did that. She still would not get on top,.. OK no problem I get on top and it’s all good, I wanted to leave with trying her doggy. She said no, I was a little disappointed there, so I tried and tried to convince her and she finally did. She didn’t know how to bend over right, well, I made it all good and finished… cleaned up.. then she asks for a tip again… OK OK, I gave her $10 tip and she left… so I’m guessing a friend or moma said give me boom boom again and she might get a tip.

All in all I had a great time, it’s nice to try the innocent never boom boomed much girls, but they are usually lackluster in bed… that day we got the owner of the hotel to find us a taxi to PP, and we got one for $55, the taxi only took 4 hours flat to get there and that was even with a 10 minutes stop.

Spent five days in Siem Reap earlier this month. The first day was a wash-out due to getting violently ill from the food on Bangkok Airways. How do I know for sure it was that particular food? Because it was the only thing I ate the entire day except for some bread and tea for breakfast, and because the timing was exactly right. 15 days in Thailand eating street food and fried bugs and I never got sick. Fucking airlines.

Anyway, I stayed at Home Sweet Home guesthouse and they offered free airport pick-up in a tuk tuk. I saw a few obvious boom boom places on the ride in but the kid would not stop, even when I offered him a tip; he said he had to get back to the hotel.

The second night I went back out there and went in a couple of places but the women did not seem to want to be there and it smacked of white (or brown) slavery so I did not partake. I was quoted $20 US in both places.

The next night I struck up a conversation with a tuk tuk driver near my hotel and he took me to some places where I don't think too many gringos go. Most of them were lit with gas lamps and the wood smoke from the cooking stoves in the neighborhood was kind of a drag. I did fuck a gal at one place for $10. She said she was from PP but that there was more work in SR because of the tourism connected to Angkor Wat and so forth. It was okay. She wasn´t really into it but did fake it fairly well.

Next to Home Sweet Home there is a "karaoke" place that was also $10 but you had to buy a drink for you and one for her for a total of $4 more. I bought the drinks but I wasn't really into it and it was very hot so I left.

Night 4 I was eating dinner in the restaurant upstairs on the corner (by Home Sweet Home, above the AIR CONDITIONED grocery store) and two women came in with a baby. I noted that the baby was mixed race and that made me suspect they were hookers. After dinner we began to chat and one spoke pretty decent English. I told her where I lived and she began to speak Spanish! She said she had learned it in the Canary Islands. I believe it because she spoke with a pronounced Spanish accent and also used "vosotros." So then I was sure she was a hooker; how else would a Cambodian wind up in the Canary Islands? It wasn't particularly good Spanish but it was fun to find another Spanish speaker in such a faraway place.

So I took them to see some of the traditional "nymph dancing." I can't remember any more what it is called. It was very hot in the bar and I knew I would not be able to stand it for very long. I had AC in my room at HSH ($12 a night with air or $7 with a fan and I recommend the place) but you can't bring hookers there. I asked her if she wanted to go with me and she said fine but said she could not bring me to her place either. We ended up renting a room for $5 an hour that had a ceiling fan and a floor fan and had some hot, sweaty sex. I gave her $20 US and 200 Thai baht as a tip. She seemed only moderately satisfied with this but she sucked down several drinks at the bar so I thought it was fair.

The next day I stopped at one of the places on the way to the airport but again I did not like the vibe so I left. Cambodia was fun. The people were nice. I did see a guy punch a woman in the face as I was walking home one night. I was considering intervening but she punched him right back so I figured she could take care of herself.

Angkor Wat was okay but over-rated and completely commercialized. In general it was hard to walk five feet without someone trying to sell you something but I understand the desperate poverty that subsumes the country. A guide I talked to said he came from PP to SR because in SR the unemployment was "only" 30%. He said it was 60% in the country as a whole and close to 50% in PP. I did not go to PP so I have no idea. The food was pretty good but not as good as Thailand and not nearly as spicy. The lack of air conditioning got to be a real drag but I have a low heat tolerance.

Again, a place I will probably never return to but overall I liked it. I recommend going to the new museum in town BEFORE going to Angkor Wat as you will understand more about the place. Unfortunately I did not do that. I can't imagine spending an entire week at that complex like some people were talking about doing. I went for an entire day and later for a couple of hours and I thought that was plenty. Hot hot hot. Also very hard to walk around except for when they close off the streets in the French Quarter at night. And dusty. And hot. And smelled like garbage which was almost a relief after smelling shit in Phuket and Pattaya. And the wood smoke is not pleasant. Probably the most underdeveloped country I have ever visited, so plan accordingly. Very cheap, especially if you are willing to bargain. Don't pay $2 for a beer at Angkor Wat as they will sell you one for a dollar if you are prepared to walk away.
