I do not enjoy the photos with covered faces and blocked out faces. I find them to be disappointing and unsatisfying. As I mentioned, hadn't planned on pictures with this samsung VGA phone camera. And the lighting in the room was poor. I used the same samsung in Jkt - that room was brightly lit, results much better, and actually got a ton of pm asking for contact info ;)

The true ethnic Thais, from the central plains, especially around Nakhon Sawan can be incredibly dark. The joke is that they are so dark because they are "closer to heaven", i.e. the sun - (Sawan means heaven).
If you ever read the early chronicles written by Europeans in the 16th century who visited Ayutthaya, they talked about how "dark and ugly" Thai women were because the women they saw were ethnic Thais from the central region.
Likewise, the people of Khmer decent from Buriram and in particular, Surin are often almost pitch-black. I would bet that Na probably comes from one these two provinces. But, she could also be from several different places in Isaan. Many people in Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani etc. are very dark.
Although few P4P girls come from there, the south, especially the deep Malay south around Pattani and Narithiwat have very dark people. Even around Phuket, you'll see Thais that are generally quite dark compared to those you see in Bangkok. The dark skin one sees in the south is the result of centuries of ethnic mixing with traders who came across from Southern India.
Lighter skinned Thais most certainly are not pure Thai or maybe not even ethnically Thai at all, and are the result of a high percentage of ethnic mixing at some point: Chinese, Lao and Vietnamese, primarily.
My GF, of whom I have often spoken is as white as snow, comes from Isaan and has Lao and Chinese blood. According to her, she doesn't have a single drop of Thai blood in her.
