Most PCs allow you to at least rotate the picture and Adobe Photoshop allows "Image Adjustments" such as brightness and Contrast.
So although your picture is grainy (low quality camera on phone) it is worth improving a bit since your girl is quite good looking. I had to rotate to check it wasn't my GF :eek: but her face and nose are a bit broader than my GF :)

$ = 25 baht back then. Airfare expensive but I was living and working in HK then, so not so bad. Cannot remember bf and hotel costs but you could live pretty well on a budget of 2000 baht a day inclusive.

Did they have them back then, in those days when nasty, fatal STDs was the preserve of shirt lifters? I hardly ever used a condom in several trips to Thailand between 85-89 and only once regretted it (I caught NSU). Maybe I was lucky. BGs invariably took the pill.

I was the same way in the PI. Got NSU twice in 1984-86 while visiting from Okinawa. Tetracycline knocked it out both times but could not drink while taking it. On Aug 9 police arrested grocery store owner Thitichai Singhanat, 23, in Nonthaburi, and charged him with raping a 28-year-old female office worker and taking photos of her naked. He met her through Hi5. He sent her pictures of a good-looking man when she asked what he looked like. When they actually met, she found he was not who he claimed to be and it was too late for her to back off. He raped her and used the photos to extort money from her. Mr Thitichai faced similar charges as Mr Krit, plus a charge of extortion, which carries a five-year sentence.
''The punishment is harsh, especially under the new Computer Act. [This is because] the damage was done to the victim and her entire family,'' said the police officer. In most cases, he tracks the men by checking their log-ins and IP addresses. He warned women not to allow their boyfriends to take ''secret'' photos of them. ''I cannot stop couples having sex. I can only warn them that by the time their nude photos are exposed on a public network, it is already too late,'' he said.

The Chantaburi lass is a good example. Certainly a competent professional with sufficient charm to make the encounter memorable. But not much time to establish rapport and I suspect she had a hidden agenda. Probably working for Special Branch and too interested in the gem trade. This girl wanted more than a memorable experience with a gem buyer. Not that I could blame her.

But I was referring specifically to the physical attractiveness of her body. She reminds me of many of the great 19th century nude paintings, a time when a woman with an ample physique was longed for.

Your photographs bring out a very artistic side and a good eye for beautiful people. I am a photographer myself and have a couple of questions for you.
In the attached photo, I'm curious how you achieved the lighting on the girls face and body which seems to come from her left while the the light in the room is above and behind her. Did you bouce the light off a mirror or a reflector on her left that is not visible in the picture? Also a couple of pointers and I'm not sure if you are using digital or film, but either way it applies. You photographs are a bit grainy which tells me you are using high ISO in Digital or slow film. Also, in your background, there is some clutter that you could clean up and watch for ie cloths on chair/bed, consumed bottles of water or drinks. If you remove them before you take your picture, use a lower apreture, such as f2.8 to f3, you can blurr the background an isolate the model, and at the same time bump the ISO down and get proper exposure. In case of film, use a faster ISO rated film for low light. . Both will lead to less grain in the photograph and focus the attention on the model which I suppose you were trying to do.
Just a few pointers ....Love your photographs though.

I normally use Tri-X film rated at ASA800 but can push it futher, if needed. I hate to use flash. I prefer daylight but when shooting at night must rely on existing room light.
I like to keep room clutter in the pictures to give the mood of the situation, e.g. liquor bottles, towels, messed up beds. This is not a studio shoot. They key is the girl, her attitude and her desire to be photographed. These are ad hoc studies in anatomy, lighting, curves, and faces. Eyes are important. Always look for what Cartier-Bresson called the "decisive moment".

More great photo's, Kaintuck. As a matter of interest, were they taken at that old, Viet War GI haunted fleapit, the Miami Hotel. If so that would add to the gritty realism. That place has always amazed me - it is in one of the best locations on Sukhumvit (equidistant between NEP and SC) and yet appears stuck in a 70's timewarp, with no apparent renovation/upgrades done in 30 years. The reception foyer is a model in old Bangkok kitsch. But it is very cheap. GH

All this talk of art made me think of one of my favourite paintings by French realist, Gustave Courbet. The painting, entitled "Origine du monde" (1866) was the first real portrayal of a woman's pussy with pubic hair in Western art and thus scandalized polite society in the mid-19th century when it was exhibited in Paris. Up until then, nudes of women had appeared without pubic hair, as a perpetuation of the myth of innocence of the ideal woman as a representation of the Virgin Mary. Other than once or twice before (most notibly in Goya's Naked Maja with its polite hint of pubes), women had always been portrayed with pre-pubescent mounds.
The gossip about this painting was that it was of Whistler's main squeeze Joanna (I guess he wasn't a mama's boy after all) and that he and Courbet had a huge falling out over Courbet's obvious access to his girl.
There must be some subconcious influence of this painting on my psyche because in looking through some pics, I found a shot of a rather voluptuous Thai woman, named Am, that is very similar to the Courbet painting. I have more of her, btw.

These photos were taking in Chantaburi. The hotel was undistinguished but it had power and air conditioned plus hot water, all very important after a long hot day on the Cambodian border.
The most notorious hotel from the GI days in Bangkok was the Opera. It was the haunt of American Special Forces and was put off limits after some drunk SF boys grabbed a couple of hippy-looking Americans and shaved their head. Turns out they were Peace Corps volunteers.

A158 - I have more experience as a monger than I do as a photographer, but personally, I like Kaintuck's pic of Chan in Chan 22. I find the "clutter" interesting. I look to see what they were drinking, what she WAS wearing, is the bed messed up (good sign), and other less obvious "clutter" things. But, I must say that Chan's eyes are fascinating to look at. By way of vicarious telepathy, I can place myself in that room with all the "clutter" and sanuk.

I agree. Besides - it's not always about the looks - performance is just as important. In BKK - I often found there was a negative correlation between looks and performance in bed.

I believe Oosik1 is essentially correct, however I'd prefer it explicitly stated that all posts to the Photo Gallery should contain a photo. All pictureless discussion should go to Photo Gallery Chit Chat. I'd also further prefer to see more female nudity with faces in submissions, but I suppose that's a bit much to ask of International SEX guide posters.
