Many chicas are worried about HIV thanks to the NGOs here. So I regularly get a blood test to put their mind at ease. I had another one yesterday, results were negative as always (see Dickheadīs excellent posts on the truth about AIDS thread).

However since it is a super cheap clinic, if you donīt take care you can end up in long lines with the place full of less than attractive people. Yesterday I went at 2:00 p.m. and the clinic was empty. The girls said that this is the best time to go there. Remember no to eat for at least four hours before taking the exam. Since the results take about an hour and a half to two hours, you can give the blood then go eat lunch and return for the verdict. This test with quick results costs 39 soles.
