That looks like a good find that area is pretty quiet but close to the action and you can cut through to Soi 11.

    SK Boutique.

Stayed here for a night. Can be avoided- there were no chairs, no locker and the guy was pushy about the upfront payment. I kind of mis placed my access card and they re-issued a new one. When I found the old one back, they couldn't re-activate for a long time. And every time, I had to walk down from the 3rd floor. No lift either.

Complimentary breakfast including a bulls eye (sunny side up), 2 slices of bread, a piece of and unlimited tea / coffee / juice. The only saving grace is that it's right outside the Hua Lampong BTS station.

I posted a review on this hotel, do an advanced search using my handle. It's an ok hotel, on one of those one way soi's so the cab has to loop around. It's girl friendly, big rooms from what I remember. I wouldn't pay over $35 for it though.

Yes, CV I agree. Also, if you arrive late evening or have had a busy day, and it is after midnight, then call and ask for a massage. Concierge will get it arranged. Had some pleasant experiences.

Walked in and out with several different girls, and not even an acknowledgment from the front desks. Rooms are nice and clean, and only a few minute walk to Soi Cowboy action. ASOK station and Terminal 21 are only a short walk away as well.

Stay in a hotel near Nana Plaza or not and use short time hotels.

    Hello,

First time to Thailand and want to make the smart choice with where we stay. I had planned on staying at the Nana Hotel for ease of access, but are debating with a friend being that close. He wants to try to hook up with "non pros" and women visiting and just visit the other adult attractions. Any opinions for or against that course of action?

Plenty of Hotels have hard beds. Grand Business Inn Soi 11, Citadines Soi 23, etc. I hate hard beds.

Preferably near Suk, because the only options I could find in Bangkok were really far from Suk.
This is a little far from Suk, but the only hotel I know of like that is Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya.

    Hotel Mermaid Bangkok

After some consideration I finally chose again to stay in Hotel Mermaid in Bangkok which is probably my 3rd time. Hotel Mermaid (Soi 29) is near Soi Cowboy. Corner suites are in good shape for a very reasonable priced. King size and rather soft bed plus big bathroom including bathtub. Asked for a iron which they have provided me during my whole stay. Just behind the bed there's a blue T5 lamp that gives a nice atmosphere when you're doing your thing. Hotel is girl friendly and they ask your girl to leave the ID behind which ain't a problem for me. I can't comment about their BF and other facilities such as the pool as I have never used nor even seen them. Stayed there for about a week for about USD 85.00,- a night.

    Hyatt place sukhumvit

Stayed here last week just to try out this new hotel, girl friendly, can bypass lobby if you have concern of that. About 300 m to bts phrom phong at soi 24.

Room a bit dark and bed is firm.

Still prefer Novotel Ploenchit because of the room setting and softer bed.
