That was the unsaid point in my post Soapy when I said "four pieces (yes seriously)", because the proper regimen is actually a full course of 21 pieces (7 days at 3/ day or 7 days at 2 / day for the stronger dosage).

Re your question: I requested a full box of my prescribed antibiotic once when I had forgotten my script. They refused. I explained to the actual pharmacist on duty how I knew the protocols regarding antiobiotics and I would take the full regime but she still wouldn't give me the goods without the script.

I must admit that I went to another pharmacy (same chain) and this time, after initially saying no, the pharmacist gave me the required dose.

Its bad. Not little kids so much. Sometimes leech-parents do have little kids pursue you with open hands looking for money. I usually keep some coins and give it to a kid. They don't know it is just a few pesos.

The worst are the teenage boys selling cigarettes etc. I had one touch me once trying to get my attention. I turned around with a fist raised to back him off. And swore at him and he backed away.

But get use to turning off the world. You will hear the words 'Viagra, cialis' about every 10 feet. And then 'trike'. Don't even hear them. They know most won't acknowledge them and will stop asking.

You would think they would get something more creative than selling the same thing every other guy is.

When I was on Burgos st. In Makati, there was an older chick that could see I wasn't into her massage service, so showed me her young friend she was to 'give to me'. I might of gone for it but she wasn't cute. But at least it showed some business sense. Few seem to have it in the PI.

No. It's not a "social thing. " For the most part it's an "ignorance" thing. Many adhere to the ridiculous anti-birth control dicta of the Catholic Church, and others are gullible. In many cases the population being discussed on this forum never finished school, are utterly na´ve, and live in a world of perpetual ignorance.

All I'm going to say: what a lucky bastard.

I'm sure there are some newbies on here now convinced it is a good idea. If you want to know your odds from non-superman, I'll tell you out of 5 trips I caught something on 4. So there's that data point for y'all.

    Bareback in Manila.

I once had a non pro girl. She requested not to bareback her as she was not on pills. By her looks you could make out that she was feeling guilty. So may be non pro girls don't mind bare backing or will not insist on the use of condoms.

    Definite change.

    Narrow Escape

Last time I was in the Philippines I had a young college student who wanted me to bareback her. I refused due to the fact that later I did not want to have a claim that I fathered a child and she needs support.

    Bareback and SEA.

This bareback thing is common in SEA. If you see the woman in SEA countries, they are small, tender, comes in all colors all size but still make you feel a man. With them you will feel like a woman who adore his man. In general most of them still god fearing.

So they believe one day the white man will come, marry them and give a good life.

Educations or science was never an interest for most of them, they still believe someone who got disease will look sick.

So when a man with wallet full of green paper, promise them a good time, they don't question much. Many of them will ask you condom just before you are about to put your anaconda in their holly river. And if you say no condom, she will make face buy again she will let her loose.

So I believe bareback is a social thing for them.

Pharmacies in Manila have definitely restricted purchase of antibiotics.

Just today at Mercury Drug (in Manila, not AC) a woman in front of me tried to buy 4 pieces of Co-Amoxyclav (yes seriously), and the pharmacist asked for her prescription which she didn't have.

I then made my request (for a different antibiotic without showing the script just to see) and they asked me for my prescription too (which I had in my pocket).

I had previously bought this antibiotic without any restriction.

I think most places treat you right away based on your symptoms without waiting for test results. It is usually a [CodeWord109] test with results back in a day or less (in Phil). Labs in AC are pretty quick maybe within 30 minutes for the results.

Yes it is, I see the same things as you when I go to the province with one of my regulars. They simply adore children.
Well, the women anyway. I'm not so sure about the (young) guys who knock them up and walk away LOL.

I've never received BBFS in AC.

But then again I did not have a girlfriend and would've insisted on condoms anyway back then.

CM, I seriously doubt the pharmacies got together and decided for the good of mongers not to sell Doxycycline or any other anti-biotics without a prescription. After all they are in the business to sell meds and making money.

The laws have always required prescriptions for meds, especially anti-biotics. Just the past year or so that it was finally enforced under pressure from the medical doctors organization. As evidenced by the letter posted in most pharmacies in the past year. If you had been in any Phil pharmacies you would have seen the letter.
