Guitarrefreak [QUOTE=Nibu Raphael; 1384156]Hi I got the stamp too when I was leaving Tijuana even paid the bank. Other grinos that trevel by bus say never get the stamp, Immigration and Military checkpoints never look for that, I am though returning by plane, I guess if you need to return by plane yes, And if you must do and get it done IN Tijuana do it but don't then pay the fee at the bank, How will they find out. Anyways Most people that travel by bus car igtnore this, Good idea, Us Immigration don't need to track all your moves. They know enough.
Ok but other bad news now Mexican immigration has the right on the streets to check your immigration status, That might be more power to them on shakedowns.
Ok hope my info helped here too.
In the spirit of closure, the oficina de goberno is where one gets both stamps for enter and exit.
The guys with guns did not flinch as I was making my way up the stairs.
Glad to be alive

Gallo Ingles I don't know the area, but I believe you can turn it back in at the place where you received it. If not there, I am sure that they will tell you where to go.

Guitarrefreak Thanks guys. So really, the "where" is the question, I am inclined to think that it is the same office where I originally got the form (making an immediate right after entering the building) , because like gallo said, my name is in the system, and I want to make sure I don't break any rule per se

Artisttyp In theory "yes" but like I said you never pass through mexican immigration on the way back into the states. As Gallo states above you are supposed to hand it in but who knows where. In my case I save it for future Tijuana trips within a 6 month period. This usually lasts me the entire Tijuana season.

Gallo Ingles Mexican tourist permit
[QUOTE=Guitarrefreak; 1371908]That is the part I am confused, when I got the FMM, they stamped to indicate that I 'entered' (with the intent to stay over 6 mths, or to pass south of ensenada)
Shouldn't they need to stamp to prove that I have exited or 'surrenderred' my FMM? /QUOTE]You need to surrender the document to the Mexican immigration authorities upon departing the country before the end of the six month period. If you haven't yet paid the fee, you will need to do that also. Generally speaking, any Mexican bank can take the payment.
If you fail to turn in the document, your name will remain in their computer system and you could be subject to a fine if you return to Mexico in the future.
Ahh, how I miss the old, pre-computer days when we could do what we wanted without having our every movement monitored in some way.

Artisttyp No exit stamp when you walk back to the USA. WHY? You don't have to go through mexican immigration again.

Guitarrefreak Hey artisstyp. Where did you get your exit stamp?
Same little office coming into mexico?
Idiot at the airport told me I can get that when crossing immigration into US but that obviously made no sense
Thanks.

Guitarrefreak I just came back to san diego, so I apologize if the info is too little, too late.
Anyway as artist mentioned, the bus station is an easy 10 block walk on the main drag, any local can point you in the right direction.
My ticket from ensenada to san ignacio costed me USD 111, which is a tad pricey, you 'may' be better off going to Tijuana and getting volaris air and fly to cabo directly but check online for pricing before you do as they fluctuate quite a bit.
If you happen to have a student I'd, buses are automatic 50% off, but remember to dress comfy as it is a long ass ride.
Cabo is not that great for mongering, but if you are trying to get a mix of civilian action (nubile college chicks, or just locals) , cabo is a good destination for that.
Have fun.

Sound7 Around $120 one way and look for promotions if any?
Around $120 to Cabo one way and look for promotions if any by various bus services, I recall this from this summer. No promotions at that time or discount in play.

Guitarrefreak So, follow artisstyp's guidance, I took a look when I passed the linea this Monday, yes it looks like there is an office to go in and take care of government stuff, so that puts my mind at ease.
But while I was walking through the overpass to the sea of taxi, I noticed another office that looks like it was processing something, not sure what the heck that is.
And I am still trying to figure out if the banks are opened for me to make the payment, if it is, I will try to go to revolution and find one of the banks to pay.

Sound7 FMM Multi Entry Tourist Visa for extended stay past 72 hours in border area & others
FMM Form. Multi Entry Tourist Visa for extended stay past 72 hours in border area and 75 miles past Tijuana / SY borber for up to 180 days. Is the fee around $22. 00?
Anyone experienced the FMM multi-renewal process upon a second entry within the 180 days?
Bus travel on Christmass Day? I would travel on 24th regardless of the schedule to be safe.
