Arrived in Mexico City at 5:30am last Friday. Wanted to stay at Hotel Marlowe but they were booked. Taxi visited around 10 hotels before finding Samil Plaza. Excellent hotel at 490 pesos per nite. King size bed with big bathroom and closet area.

Taxi driver found a casa in the newspaper that had tight security and ugly chicas. The only decent one got picked before my mongering mouth could utter a word. Left for Spa Urbano. Hard to find. It is way in the back. Accepts credit cards. Nice brown hair chica at 10:30am. Good service but only one pop. Very good legit massage and it is nice to shower together. Pata Negra is a trendy club full of ex pats and chic mexicanos. Its a younger modern music club with nice chicas that speak English. Spoke to an Amercian teaching English. His group of friends consisted of some nice young chicas. Started speaking to a person in the group that resembled Salma Hayek (okay my beer goggles were on.)

Chica was drinking Johnny Walker red straight-up. A drunken connection of public french kissing ensued. Chica had problems closing out her tab and locating her valet ticket. After much drama and confusion we headed to her house. Instructed me that I needed to leave before 800 am since she was meeting her father for breakfast at 900 am. This chica should not have been driving. Earlier we almost went in a cab back to my hotel but she ran out of the cab at the last moment.

On the way home she pulled over to the side of the road to ask me something unimportant. While getting back to into a lane, she hit a parked taxi. Suggested she stop to remedy. Instead she decided to loose the taxi. The taxi continued to follow us. Finally she speed up incredibly fast as we came to a red light. Unfortunately she failed to stop in time and rear ended another car. Quicky her car was surrounded by the taxi and other passerbyers. She mentioned they wanted money especially with a gringo around.

Much happened. But I shall summarize. I did get to makeout with this fine chica off and on for 4 hours in her car. The police arrived with investigators that took over 4 hours. It was also cold. Ambulances arrived at 2 different times although thank goodnes no one was injured. No money exchanged hands. Finally caught a cab home and the chica departed.

For the upcoming nite we made plans to go to Pyramids and sleepover at my nice hotel room. Raced over to Walmart to get a SIM card to get my phone activated. It is a very complicated process that requires recording of serial numbers and a very involved process to activate. Finally got the movistar card and called the chica. She sounded excited and promised to call me after 200pm. Excellent cell phone connection.

Well. Guess what. Never able to make contact again.

IMO Mexico City is only worthwhile to see the pyramids and the Antropologica Museum. The foods from the numerous stands are cheap and tasty.

The Financial district and Historico Centro are interesting but no better than many other locales.

IMO the majority of Mexico City resembles East LA barrios and not worth a mongering stop. Follow my trip progress in the San Salvador section.

Beer Goggles is a dumb excuse I never let those go. Just don't drink, problem solved.

I believe I have a solution for native English speakers that need cellular service after problems I ran into as well, stay tuned.

I would agree DF / Mexico City is not just for mongering. You must have interest in the various sites around the city otherwise you'll be bored since almost nobody speaks English accept maybe in the area where the museums and Hard Rock Cafe are located. Of course anything related to hospitality will have people that speak at least basic English.

But in general Americans are adverse to learning another language. But learning Spanish can be extremely useful overall, even back in the US, especially if you live in the Southwest.

I was told Merced Market was made up of mostly darker skinned indigenous looking women, is this what you found as well? Because of this, I decided not to check it out. There are various chicas on Craigslist, but I was on a serve budget since I was in-town mostly to hang out with friends, not to monger, I know that's a novel thing around here.

1. What is it with Mexican short timers getting dressed and leaving you in the room while they take off to go back out there?

I remember the first time I ever did that in Mexico I was kinda nervous, so I decided to to with the woman that was closest to the entrance of the low-end hotel they were working out of. Nothing groundbreaking, but I thought I would report on a couple recent experiences while passing through Mexico City. I had a long enough stopover to go into town. I took the Metro, great bargain at 3 pesos, but you can also take an authorized taxi from the airport for 200 pesos- for a meal, then I headed over to the Extreme Sports Spa on Alvaro Obregon 243B. I had been to the Hamburgo location before, but it closed and I guess they opened up this one. It's in the Roma Norte area and just a short walk from the Condesa. Closest metro station looks like Insurgentes.

It's a little tricky to find. Just get yourself to 243, then you'll see a little garage. Walk in and you'll see the bell and door to 243B on the right. You'll also be on camera. I showed up with no appointment, but they buzzed me in and it was no problem. They offer you a soda or water, sit you on the couch, and in a little while the available girls come in one at a time, tell you their names and give you a little peck on the cheek. I had a choice of about 5 girls, and I would say they all fell in the 6-7 range, give or take. No stunners, no dogs either. Anyway, standard small room with a massage table (I was not in the VIP cabin) and shower. I freshened up, then Rebecca started with a massage which turned sensual. Once I was just curious then I went to La Merced, actually, La Merced is just an area near to the MetroStation and the Pablo Street.

I saw at least 3 cops with guns in their arms in each block, this place is full of streetgirls (some of them are transit) draggers and gangsters, and La merced is also the place just for poor people, it's totally different from the other area of Mexico city. Nsd1983. I don't know if I'd call Mexcio CIty a mongering destination, but for me there are opportunities there. Mainly it's convenient as my work brings me to many Latin American countries, including the DF. I prefer the comfort and convenience of my nice hotel room so, though it's always a roll of the dice, I like some of the excort agencies. My Spanish is decent enough to make it clear to the agency or girl exactly what I'm looking for and that if the girl that shows up at my door is not at least in the ballpark, I don't pay. If they agree to this, then I give it a shot. I like an hour of GFE, and fortunately I've had good luck, particularly in the attitude and performance department, which, for me, is key to a good or great experience. I didn't visit the La Merced area to check any SW action. The effort, potential lack of experience, and possible haggling just aren't worth it to me. It was very cold, but it was worth it.

A lots of lookers and in the hotel, they were so nice.

Most of them charge 600 pesos for a half hour.
