Downtown Tampico is hurting now. With the new port to the north in Altamira it has taken about 85% of the ships away from Tampico. Many of the local businesses that thrived off of the ships have been shut down. It also has made things very affordable in this part of town.

I have always loved it here and will probably continue to do so. I took the Platino buses this time which are the first class line. 86 dollars round trip, the seats are like business class seats on an airplane. There are only 26 seats on the entire bus, they fully recline, have a personal TV monitor with control. A plug where you can plug in your laptop, as well as complimentary food and drinks. Also 2 bathrooms and the windows are covered with large curtains so it is very easy to sleep on these.

What do you think would be a good budget itinerary on that side of the coast? I've never done the gulf. Fly into veracruz then work your way up north into Nuevo Laredo? If you had the choice what "off the beaten path" towns would you hit?

Just went to casa Perla, they only had one girl and she was hot but had a facial treatment on. She said she could clean up but I told her to just wait and I would come back later. Was there in 2007 seems like little changed! Exactly where are the three casas de citas, Perla, Roxanna and another you mentioned located? I dealt with freelancers in 2007. Two other cheap no questions hotels are Regis why Santander near waterfront. Fairly cheap non tourist town for sure. Hey Beavis, getting a childs seat on bus great idea so you would have more room! Ok final check in from the great city of Tampico. Rosie indeed showed up this morning and gave me one hell of a going away session. I couldn't perform again if Shakira wanted to do me (probably would give that a shot though). All of my questions have been answered and this was one fun trip. Still have not seen another gringo and have not been met with one bit of hostility by any of the locals. Have made some new friends, found some new places to hang out and played with a lot of ladies. Also found out that Paris is bisexual so that might be a fun project to work on next time I am here. Not much more to add, will total up the costs once I get home but all in all it was a quite economical trip at least compared to other destinations that Americans frequent. Tuesday. Went to Casa Estrella to see Rosie this morning and she wasn't there yet so I took Paris. Another great way to start the day, finished with another round of Beaviscolada on her tits then went back to centro. Decided to head home tomorrow so I grabbed a cab and went to the Centro de Autobus to buy my tickets. Got them, I always buy 1 adult ticket and 1 child so that I have both seats to myself. Done deal, went back to the hotel then back to the tattoo shop to visit with my new friends for a few minutes.

After that went to one of the local bars with AC and had a couple of beers. While there a couple of guys with guitars were playing Mexican songs. They came over to where I was sitting and started playing an old Beatles number. I bought them a soda and told them that I too played in a band. One of the guys handed me a spare guitar and soon songs like ZZ Top's La Grange, Sweet Home Alabama and Hotel California are ringing out in Tampico Centro. Got to figure out how to get my equipment down here and I will already have a band ready to go. I still haven't seen any other gringo here but me. Every now and then I will run across a Mexican that speaks English but I always cut these conversations short. I didn't come here to exercise any American culture. I don't miss the San Jose Costa Rica type atmosphere where there is a loudmouth American telling the whole world why he is better than everybody else.

After the bar scene I went to the Mercado and bought some T Shirts for my African crew. Back to the hotel, wash up and go see Rosie. No need to explain that. I will probably just hit her as many times as I can before I leave. I already have it arranged for her to meet me at the hotel in the morning before I leave. I think she will show, if she doesn't it only means I have to walk about 6 blocks to get a couple of sessions done before I leave tomorrow.

OK let's get started with Monday's activities. I had an appointment with a world famous tattoo artist at noon. If you are not into tattoos I respect your opinion but personally I love them if they are good. Especially on hot women. I had been planning to do a cover up of a shark I had done on my left arm since 1989. Decided to give this guy a whirl and wow, he is a tattoo god. Will post a pic of his work once I get home.

Anyway my normal routine of hitting the taco stand just before bed the day before had the same results in the morning. We won't elaborate on that. I had some time to kill so I went to Casa Estrella at 11:00 and saw Paris the first girl I saw when I got here. Had a great early morning session with her for 200 pesos plus another 100 peso tip. A tip does wonders with these girls as they only make half of the fee so a 100 peso tip means she earns double. An extra 9 dollars and I will get my world rocked, done deal.

Originally I had figured the tattoo would be 3 sessions of about 3 hours each. Like I said this guy is brilliant. He finished it all yesterday but it was 7 hours of "Nail Biting" pain. Yes it hurt like hell but it is bad ass. After that was over with I was pretty tired and didn't plan on much extra afterwards. 7 hours of needles going under your skin will wear your ass out. I went back to my hotel to start the bi-hourly vaseline treatments that will have to be done for the next few days. I washed up a little, the arm hurt to bad to put it under the water just yet. The trip was a success, I see zero problems being here. I have not seen one single gringo here the whole time I have been here which suits me just fine.
