    Cartagena last week

I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Boca Grande for six nights. I asked for their guest policy and they told me they allow visits during daytime without a fee but by nightime it is 250,000 pesos per visit fee. Room cost was $63 per night. After 6 days in Medellin hotel Dorado la 70 which has harder than rock mattress it was positive change to confort.

During my stay I took a 18 yr old girl from Venezuela to a 15 k cabana. I agreed with her for 200 k which was the same I was quoted by five girls before her. During my interaction with the girl in La Torre del Reloj plaza I asked for her phone number and when she entered the digits in my phone we found that I already have her number from Tinder. I observed several of the girls there are my Tinder contacts too. I read my conversation with her and observed she quoted 150 k for her services. After a minute discussion we agreed to a 150 k. Sex was average, covered BJ, no GFE, but she has a nice attitude and was fun to have plus has a nice pettite body.

I spent the rest of my stay with a girl I met in Getsemani. She lives in Medellin but spent two weeks in Cartagena for a relative's wedding. I asked her a question about a place and that was the beginning of the best part of my trip. We had drinks together and although I paid most of our expenses together she paid some of her expenses or helped to cover some of the bills providing 5 or 7 k when there was no change available for a 50 k bill. It was GFE at it's best. She was born and raised in Cartagena and her curvaceous body are evidence of it as costeņas tend to be curvier than paisas. She is currently studying in Medellin. I am going to see her again here in Medellin in a few hours. She returned to Medellin in a 12 hour bus trip. Ugg.

So I was alone for the night and went to Plaza del reloj on Saturday. This time the atmosphere was diferent. Six migration police cars including a couple of minivans. About 30 policeman / woman where there. I observed while they registered Venezuela working girls in search of their cedulas. As I observed around a few girls that were arriving to the plaza made a 180 when they saw the police officers. Some were advised by the guys that work in the plaza selling beer or la hormiga culona or anything to go away. I messaged my Venezuela amiga and told her about it. She thanked me because she has no cedula. The told me that migration officers were there the night before too.

    Jejeje

A late bloomer to the hooker scene! She probably got tired of banging her uncle and a bunch of barrio rats for free when she could bang a bunch of gringos for money she never thought was possible.

If you mean a hooker-gifriend they are a bit like stripper-girlfriends. They'll just suck money out of you and bring you drama. Not to mention you're sharing her with everyone else. I used to be susceptible to "feelings" when I first started mongering but within my first year quickly learned. You're better off going to latin dating sites if you want that.

The best advise I got from a friend is that romantic relationships are generally hard. They tend to fizzle out. Imagine how quickly they fizzle out with a hooker? Half the women you meet in this business have mental health issues, the other half are just better at coping with mental health problems.

Well, first of all, they are females.

They all freak out every so often, LOL.

    And they're latinas to boot!

Generally hot in the sack, and hot blooded in life, so there ya go, more occasional freak outs, LOL.

The feelings come natural if there's some chemistry.

Just enjoy and let it flow.

    You are giving sage advice.

As Yippie has indicated, what the law (s) says more times than not does not matter in Colombia when you are detained by a police officer. The law is between that officer and you at that particular moment in time.

I wonder if anybody knows of an actual case where a tourist has gone to jail for posession of a small quantity of anything for personal use. I suspect most cases wouldn't go further than a night in detention and / or a fine or a bribe.

There were a couple of posts last year about guys being detained for possessing drugs.

I have two stories to share:

One was when I was chatting with a fellow traveler flying out of Colombia. He mentioned some ten years ago when he was younger and more adventurous having gone out and bought some pot in Cartagena from a local dealer. He was immediately picked up as he was walking back to his place and encouraged to pay a fine in US dollars. I forget the amount but the gentleman didn't have it on him so they dragged him back to the police station where he finally got in touch with a friend of his to bring the funds down. Moral of the story: don't expect rule of law. I asked him if he ever saw a judge during the ordeal and he just laughed and shook his head.

My other story comes from a chica who I see regularly down there. She was going back to Bocagrande late at night with a guy who had picked her up. At a check point, which are usually setup at night, they stopped and searched both of them. He had some cocaine on him and the cops immediately placed him under arrest. They then told him, on the spot mind you, that the fine was 400 US dollars. He didn't have as much and they kept him on the side of the road for an hour or so until he got a friend of his to come down with the money. The chica went home without getting paid since the guy was so distraught he just wanted to get the fuck out. Again, moral of the story is prepare to get fucked if you're caught.

If you are going to do it then do it exactly where you bought it and toss that shit away.
