I could not disagree more re the blue waters. I stayed there last year and was very pleasantly surprised.

If you decide to go for a midnight stroll on the beach on your own then yes, you are asking for trouble. Overall however you cannot compare the beachfront area with what ti was 10 years ago. Lots of money has been spent uplifting the area and making it safe (are).

Hello, I thought I should add a report about my experience in Cape Town. My experience definitely differs from some of the other stories that I have read on this board but here it goes. I also went to Jo'Burg but didn't really go out as I didn't feel safe staying downtown! So I took the advice of other board members and I decided to head to 'the best massage place in Capetown' Singa Massage Parlor – Well here is my experience:

Get buzzed in and a lady takes me to an open room, she said have a seat and the ladies will come in to introduce themselves. I sat down and 1st girl comes in very cute, nice body, nice face. 2nd girl body just as nice but face wasn't up to par. Then the last girl came in, she seemed like she kind of had an attitude so that was already a turn off so I decided on the 1st girl. The manager came in and asked what service I wanted and I told her 60 minute massage, she told me to pay $600R up front. So I gave her the money. #1 came in and asked me if I wanted to take a shower. I was not going to take a shower but I had worked up a sweat walking 15 minutes to get there so I said ok. I literally took no more than 2 minutes in the shower because I had a pocket full of money that I left in the room and was paranoid that one of the girls might steal it. Here is where things take a turn. Once in the room I usually always set my watch to what time the massage starts so I can ensure I'm not getting cheated with time. So the girl starts massaging my back with some oil. I had to tell her to please do it harder because she was just doing a light touch not really massaging my muscles at all. I had to continue to tell her to do it harder but she did not listen and continued to give me this light body rub. I am use to getting fantastic massages from Asian MP's so maybe my standards are too high for this place.

Regardless it was one of the worst massages ever. Then after only 20 minutes of this light rubbing she turned me over. I said you have only been massaging me for 20 minutes isn't it to early for the flip? She said 'You were allocated 15 minutes for shower at beginning and 15 minutes for shower at end even if you didn't take all the time so the massage portion is only 30 minutes'! I said WHAT the F*CK, I have never heard of something so ridiculous. This absolutely killed the mood even worse than her terrible massage skills! So she then said we are running out of time, so I let her start giving me H / J then I start touching her butt. She said no you cannot touch, you didn't pay for that service. At this point I cannot stand her or this friggin so called 'best massage' place! I told her I will give her a nice tip, so then I went back to grabbing her butt. Very nice and plump, my hands started roaming some more and then I finished.

I really felt cheated by this place. Terrible massage, advertise 60 minute massage in reality its 30 minutes. Overall terrible service. I cannot recommend this place to anyone sorry.
