1) The hotel has a restaurant at the swimming pool area and they offer breakfast there. In the 250-350ps range.
2) Yes, within 5 minutes walk you have a dozen bars. 3) Yes, walk outside and you'll hear someone shouting "trike, sir". 4) Dunno. Cheers! Quote:

Lgh Enquiry
I am going to stay at LGH in the coming week. I have several questons to ask:
1) As the roomrate do not include breakfast. Is there any restaurant nearby if I don't want to have meal in the hotel? 2) Is it a walking distance from the hotel to Perimeter action? 3) Instead of the hotel car, Is it easy to get a tricle outside the hotel to Field Ave? 4) May I get a free hotel ride from the hotel to the casino in Clark? Thank You ! |

ABC Hotel
ABC is expensive but the BEST. Kills everything else in AC. LG, the white house or the hospital (depending on your room, I guess) is close second but that is about it... The rest just don't do it for me. I guess I am kind of picky but part of the experience is the comfort and to me it is money well spend.

Lewis Grand Hotel in AC
I stayed at Lewis Grand Hotel for over 2-weeks on my recent visit to Phil.
Im not plugging this hotel for any reason other than I had a great time, the Hotel is first class for the area and the staff are accomidating and wonderful. This is the only hotel in Angeles that I have stayed in so I know nothing about other places other than what I read on this site. You can see one of my previous reports on their un advertised "Special King Room" for about $49 after the 10% dicount for 1-week or longer. They will also apply the 10% on all of your Food and Drink if you belong to one of the local online blog sites. Cant remember wich one it is. I was able to finaggle the extra 10% without belonging. I met one of the owners at the outside bar/ cafe on my 2nd day. We chatted for about 40 min and he was a cool guy. He grew up close to where I live in California so we had alot in common. He offered to move me to a nicer room for no additional charge. I took him up on it and ended up in their nicest room of the hotel for the rest of my visit for $49. Large room with rainfall shower and balcony overlooking the pool area. Very cool. I used the walk in rainfall shower many times in my room. The girls loved it and it will fit 3 or 4 people at once. I had some fun times with the shower. I always asked Housekeeping to supply extra towels for my room and they even brought them when I forgot to ask. I would also make a call to Housekeeping to freshen up my room an additional time when I went out and when I returned it was all taken care of. This is a 24hr hotel so the Cafe/ Bar, Room Service, Pool Area and House Keeping are always available. I was there for over two weeks so I became friends with everyone at the hotel. The Bartenders are Great!!! Richard makes the best drinks!!! He has guests that call ahead and make sure he is working before their visit. He will make any drink you want and its all first rate alcohol and if you want a strong one no prob. I loved the Long Island's. He makes them better than the other bartenders there. They will do anything to personaly accomodate you. One guy had his Protien mix bag at the bar and they would whip him up a special drink mix whenever he asked. Im sure if you English guys want to bring your own favorite tea or whatever you can just give it to them and they will make it up anytime you like. About the Food. I have heard others complain that the food in AC is not good. The food at LGH is Great! They put together a new menu just before I arrived I found out. They have a mixture of Western, Filipino and a few Asian style dishes. I tried just about one of every thing on the menu. The owner tries to make everything in house as to keep it fresh and custom. He told me if there was anything that was not on the menu that i wanted they would make it for me. I had them customize my dishes the way I liked many times after I learned the menu. Since I was not hitting the bars but I was meeting with local women from the internet I used the Hotel bar and restaraunt for my meeting place. My bill at the end of the 2-weeks was a big one. This is not a discount Hotel but if you want to have a llittle luxury along with your sex visit this would be the place. There is not much to do in Angeles durring the mid day when it is hot and you are recouporating from your previous night of drunken fun. I woke up late everyday and had a nice breakfast either in the room or down at the outdoor cafe overlooking the pool. Then went back to the room to take a nap and surf the internet and watch tv. Later I would hit the pool area for a refreshing time. There is a swim up bar at the pool with two large flat screen Tv's where you can use the remote and watch whatever you want. You can ring the bell and someone will come down from the cafe and take your drink or food order. They also offer a few cars and drivers for local drop off and pick up for free. It was a nice thing to just give them a ring at the hotel and they would send a airconditioned van to get you. I also had then drop off my girls I met to their homes if they lived fairly close. Only a few times they did not have a driver available and I had to grab a trike wich is a thrilling crazy expierience. Also, the Hotel is not located right in the middle of the action but a few blocks away. I liked it for that reason. It was a 50P trike ride to fields ave. or the Hotel car can drop you. I would stay at this Hotel again and would recomend to others that are not looking for the low end discount places. |

Don Paul
Quote:
I cant comment on Walkabout but I have stayed at Don Paul a couple of times and find it fine. The wifi works pretty well, The owner is a bit eccentric but a pretty decent guy, the food is fine, its a couple of blocks from Fields but easy enough to walk there. Its oposite the health clinic so you will se every WG in AC walk by every couple of weeks. |

Welcome To The Board

For a newbie to AC, I would lean towards Walkabout since it is in the middle of Fields. Donald Paul is adequate but is located on a side street that can get dodgy late at night. Brass Knob is nothing special and is up on Perimeter. Personally, I would recommend Central Park especially for newbies because the staff knows how to make your stay an enjoyable one! |

Walkabout Hotel or Don Paul Hotel
Hi guys,
I'm making my first trip to ac, been living in Pattaya for 10 years and going to ac in sept, I would like opinions on these hotels, need wi fi pool and reasonable location, these 2 appear in my price range etc als brass knob looks ok. After the shock of hotel prices compared to patts anyway. Thoughts? Thanks |

Okay cool. Well if any of you is there when I am, and would like to hang out or need a wingman. Let me know. I will be there from July 11 to 21 but will make AC about 3 of those days. Somewhere in the middle of my stay. |

Swiss Chalet is very close to the action but still paradoxically very quiet for the most part. Take a right out of the lobby and in half a block you're in the heart of Fields Ave. The other two are only slightly farther away, and with them you get to use a pool and apparently as noted the safes are much bigger. But for the 35 or 38$ a night I spent I got a full King bed and a tv with a lot of channels. (Girls will like to watch tv in the afternoons if you have a repeater, so having a few movie channels is nice in that regard.) I will likely not repeat at Swiss Chalet, but only because I want something different on my next trip. I can heartly endorse it as a good place to stay, but remember I have limited experience. If I don't stay at either PB or CP next time, I'll likely be out on the Perimeter somewhere. Good luck. Gonzo |

I only stayed at the Pacific Breeze so far and it does have internet access via a Lan Line. They will supply a short 3 feet cat5 network cable to connect your notebook to the LAN jack on the wall. The in room safe is big. It can accommodate a full size laptop. There's no need for a bar or nightclub in either of these 3 hotels. The bars and nightclub are really close. They are literally under a minute walk away to your nearest bar. |

Stayed at Lewis Grand in the first week of operation and they have come a long way since then! Anyway, I was wondering about the 'Special King' rooms. Do those rooms have any windows? |

Usually the receptionist gets upset and worried, if you do NOT bring one or two girls in. Often they do not allow you to enter your room alone, so they send you back to Fields to get a girl first. ![]() Quote:
Don't know, never stayed in there but nothing to worry, more than enough bars for a couple of days. Enjoy! |
